Informed, considerate, kind owner and employees. As a fellow business owner in the same city, sometimes in friendly competition, this is the standard to we all aspire. Expect to pay a couple dollars more than the big box stores (and I mean ONLY a couple of dollars or cents more, sometimes less) mostly due to the cost of doing business within that much higher standard. Very large diverse inventory and people who know it inside and out. Ive occasionally had to return an item (through no fault of the store). Once it was an item, that by well stated policy, was not a returnable item. The person with which I dealt took all of the circumstances under consideration, made a decision that based on a moral principal rather than a business policy and issued a refund. The same as I would have done in my business franchise. "Business as usual" is unusually wonderful at this little local treasure.

I made a trip out to Sandy today because I needed several household items and I knew that Ace Hardware would have them. Chimneys for some oil lamps, a couple of spacer things for my spinning wheel flyer/bobbin, insulation foam, and some replacement bulbs for our motion detector lights. A very knowledgeable young woman named CeCe helped me, and she was terrific; she was very friendly and knew right where everything was that I needed. I love this store! Why in the world would anyone ever go to a big box store when everything you need is right here? Always! And I love supporting a small town business, too. Way to go, Ace Hardware! And way to go, CeCe!!

A long time Sandy resident who has had endless building and repair projects: this place is the best and they have bailed me out on many occasions. The staff is beyond helpful and knowledgeable. On more than one occasion I have poured my pile of parts onto the floor and someone has helped me figure out how to do the repair. Their hardware section is extensive - nothing against the big box stores, but I go here whenever I can. Sandy is fortunate to have them.

Ive never seen a hardware store like this one. Seriously. The employees are very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and you get the feeling that they really like their job and helping you. Equally impressive, their product selection is awesome; Ive long stopped being surprised that theyd have that certain thing I was looking for. Folks in the Sandy area are very lucky to have them in their town. And theyre dog friendly - what could be better than that?

Lot of people here saying the service is great. Thing is, if you are under the age of say 45, the service is quite bad. Ive found the employees to be quite rude and very brisk when asked for help. Also, the store is very cramped. Theres barely enough room for two people to walk down an isle. And finally, the prices a re obscene. Pretty standard for an Ace Hardware though.

Ive been shopping at this Ace for several years now. Excellent variety. The hardware section (nuts/bolts) is one of the best around and rivals any Ive seen at a big box store. The employees have always been very helpful and polite, unlike the box stores where employees go out of their way to avoid eye contact or helping. My favorite hardware store, period.

The service is A+. The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The store itself is a bit difficult to access due to Sandys traffic patterns, but that goes with being in Sandy. (The store is next to the Sandy Theatre and across from the Espresso store and Pet resort.) Surprisingly, they have really decent pricing and a fantastic inventory.

Im 16, and they treat me the same as any one else. Customer service is great; the staff there is very knowledgeable. If you need a part for almost any Briggs and Stratton engine, they will have it, or will order it

They greet you by name ! Has the atmosphere of the old mom and pop hardware shop. Great staff of all ages yet so educated to a wide variety of home improvement projects. This is probably my favorite ACE ever.

The staff is very helpful and the store has an amazing stock base. My only concern, since Im an old man, is that they have closed the bathroom to customers. That can be very distressing to people of my age.
