On a visit, we stopped here because the website clearly said they offered a place for nursing mothers - so we figured wed do some shopping and nurse. They dont. And walking the mall for an hour trying to figure that out, it was clear its not a great mall anyway. After looking all over, asking many staff, we finally got someone to unlock the Family Restroom. It was just a regular stinky room with a toilet, no place to nurse, and no reason to go through the trouble to have the room unlocked. We kept asking staff who said "Okay, wait," then walked off never to be seen again. We waited a very long time. Finally, after seeing the "family restroom," we just used it to wash hands and leave, then asked if there was a spot to nurse. The woman said, "Oh, no." I thought I had made it clear thats what we were looking for in the first place. So we went to a nearby restaurant (McMennamins) to nurse and it was so much better.

Most ill- mannered trash youll ever find in Portland metro come to this mall. Nothing but degenerate ghetto retards. Even the security is trash. I told the mexican security guy twice about some Negroid kid playing extremely loud music on a stereo in his backpack, AS THE KID WAS WALKING PAST US. The security guy said nothing to the kid, and told me that they were waiting for the cops. Well, I had been a security officer before, myself. And I can assure anyone that until the police arrive, the security officer(s) must detain the person if the person wont leave. They had handcuffs. So they should have done so. And mexican illegal immigrants swarm this place at night, staring with their glazed- over and beady little eyes at anybody Caucasian. This is not a mall. It literally is a zoo.

Lloyd Center is a mall and it does everything that malls do. If you need something from a specific store that is inside this mall, and the store specializing in selling that item, then it will probably be there, at the store. Wetzels Pretzels sells pretzels for example. Cinnabon does not. In general, malls suck but we all acknowledge they have their purposes. With that in mind, Lloyd Center is my defacto choice for all things mall related. I also find that it has a distinctly less "baby diappery" smell than Clackamas Town Center and, thankfully, it doesnt require me driving out to Beaverton to get there. Hot Dog on a stick is also gone and has been replaced by a Subway, which sort of ruins the point of going to the mall in the first point, but I digress...

I havent been here for ages, so I came to see the changes. New remodel makes the place a LOT brighter. New ice rink is smaller but prettier and easier to see. I wish they would have put a pretty design in the middle, but its all plain white. Food court has fewer options - some businesses have left. Movie theater is gone - dont know what they did with all that space - its just a locked door now. Space at the West end of the food court is dark and creepy. Are they putting in an old fashioned soda fountain or is the area abandoned? Wish they had some bathrooms at the east end of the mall. Only two out-of-the-way bathrooms at the NW corner of Levels 1 & 3. Needs bathrooms on Level 2. Parking lot is still the same confusing mess.

The mall itself is clothing stores and cellphone places, with business offices for a variety of companies at the very top floor. The food court is the usual sweet/fatty/salty/eat-here-and-die-early type of restaurants and the parking lots, entrances/etc have some creepy people hanging around. Used to be shootings in the park across the street but thats settled down now that gangs dont use the MAX anymore (its no longer free inside the Free Zone). All in all, a decaying monument to a previous age. So why am I giving it four stars? The Ice Rink, duh. Kids love it, dates love it, there are always super good figure skaters showing off on the center ice, and even tho it costs a lot, its worth it. Destroy the mall, keep the rink!

Clean halls, stores and bathrooms. Friendly place to visit. Metro PCS was a 10 in service and associates were even better!! Clairs was clean and well stocked with excellent sales for the 4th of July holiday. I went to an American shop with things from Kinya. The man was so nice, stayed to make my sale and didnt throw me out at closing just to get off work. He took his time and let me ponder and look. Gave me a great deal and a smile. Only thing is that when its closing time most of the shops rush you sand then you feel thrown out like a fire broke out. If your in the store before it closes they should give time to the customers sale and not reject the sale or be pushy, you dont see that in Macys or Jc pennys.

Went there for Barnes and Noble and ended up walking around a bit. It was a Wednesday around 7pm. It wasnt crowded and I found it to be clean. I did come upon a few "loud/rowdy teens" that other have mentioned overloading the place and as usual wonder who raises kids that grow up to he obnoxious enough to publicly hit on store employees while they work and use foul language loud enough for everyone around to hear...but fortunately I only bumped into a group of one of those while I was there :) the place Id being renovated and the pictures they have up look great. Ive never seen or heard of anything like a mall with ice skating in it in either Las Vegas or Los Angeles.

As of September 2016, there is a lot of construction as they try to revamp the mall to attract customers. A notable number of store fronts are vacant and foot traffic is light other than to the food court. There are two major anchor stores, Macys and Sears. Sears and Macys have been closing many low performing stores around the country and if they both pull out, Lloyd center may be doomed as has happened in many other malls. The vicinity around the mall has occasional homeless people which doesnt help things. I have my doubts as to rather the redevelopment effort is going to bring in the level and type of traffic they are hoping for.

Lloyd center is the oldest mall in Portland. Its has many updates and is currently going through a major update. Because of this, there are a fair number of abandoned shops. But the shops that are there are quite nice. Its pretty obvious that the mall is targeted at lower middle class based on the fact that theres a Ross and many run off the mill nail and hair salons. You wont find Nordstroms or William Sonoma. Still, I end up going there rather frequently since its such a mainstay of Portland. The skating rink in the middle of the Mall is definitely the defining feature.
