The Gateway Shopping Center has a variety of shops, including a Starbucks (no drive-thru) and Game Stop and many others. I visit the Starbucks and the Fred Meyers the most. There is a Max stop and medical buildings just across the street, west, or behind the Freds. There are several bus stops on the main streets around the parking lot. The Freds has a Starbucks inside, and the bathrooms are clean and wheelchair friendly, altho occasionally understocked. (Bring some tissues just in case.) The Freds parking lot has a fair number of handicap spots, but it is crowded like an older parking lot, and a little awkward, but the parking around the other buildings is really spacious with plenty of handicapped parking. Its always tempting to park in front of the Kohls next to the Freds but it is still a bit of a walk to the entrance. This Freds caters to a very multi-cultural population, so their inventory is always so different and interesting. The employees and the customers are just surprisingly friendly! You get responding smiles, people talking to you spontaneously, asking how you are, and comments on merchandise and offers to help. If you are a people person, and watcher, like me, this Freds is a veritable paradise. There is a sitting area near the deli that used to have many outlets for computers and such, but they have all been covered. The only outlet I found (to recharge my chair) was in the little pharmacy waiting area. I love the uniqueness of this Fred Meyers and I hope they never change that atmosphere.

There have been 3 shootings at parking lots here in as many years, and now that all the homeless are being pushed out of springwater trail they are migrating to around this area. My bike was stolen a month ago when I walked into Fred Meyers for literally three minutes...reviewed the security video with loss prevention and within seconds of walking into the door, two guys with 4ft bolt cutters popped the lock and took off with it, despite having security guards roaming the parking lot. I asked a security guard "does this happen often?" to which he says "oh, all the time!" when I asked what the point was to have security that does nothing to stop theft, he said "thats because its YOUR property, not the stores... were not paid to protect you or your stuff. were basically here to make people FEEL safer." I appreciated the honesty, but wow.

One stop shopping center! Love that the Freds offers childcare (regardless of quality, its a free hour of peace). The pharmacy has a great staff team and a cool health maintenance device that offers a quick health check (body fat percentage, weight, blood pressure, pulse) that is such a wonderful resource. The police presence is nice and the officers are kind. The adjacent nail salon offers cute kid spa chairs... i could go on and on.. best of all, this plaza is adjacent to the transit center and a couple medical plazas. Doesnt get much better. But Im docking a star because Freds not only removed the microwave from the dining area (boo), they dont carry a consistent selection of specialty items.

It is a standard suburban shopping center with a large Fred Meyers grocery store as an an anchor store, several other types of clothing shops, including a ROSS, and another womens clothing store for sizes 12 and above that I would like to check out more. It is located right off two main freeways and 4 very busy main roads. The Gateway transit center for MAX, busses, and the new bus to the gorge all stop there, as well as 2 Major medical office buildings: the Oregon clinic and Providence Medical Group Gateway, with urgent and primary care offices. Extremely easy for physically impaired to get around the entire area.

Have to say the 3 star review isnt so much about the center it self because the center is great, an awesome Fred meyers huge with all the good upgrades and remodel of the newer Freddies, a game-stop, Kohls, a Staples, and Applebees, as well as Ross and a jack in the box along with a few other mentionables are also in the center but the LOCATION and the eh questionable people that hang out around maybe the transit center or the bike path bring them here but its always iffy to leave shopping bags in the car so it makes a pain to relax while browsing. Too Bad.

Another monument to mans dark materialistic desires, this behemoth of strip mall insanity delights the shopper with Fred Meyer, Kohls, Ross, Office Max, and a dozen or so minor joints like Applebees, Jamba Juice, and...you guessed it... STARBUCKS!! (This one features a connected Subway for your non-liquid based dietary needs). Oh and my personal favorite part, the need to pass through a guantlet of meth addicts who congregate at the exceptionally busy Gateway Transit Center MAX stop.

Fred Meyer, Kohls, Ross, Applebees, Izzys, Muchas Gracias, Jamba Juice, Game Stop, Subway, Carls Jr., Starbucks, Office Depot, etc. So many choices, and WinCo is across the street. Also the Oregon Clinic and Providence Med Ctr. and urgent care. The good/bad is having Gateway TC there. Great access for public transit, but also a hub for drug traffic and sketchy situations. ⭐⭐⭐

It has good food offerings. Groceries, Office Supplies, Clothing Store, Healthy Juice Store, Discount Department Store (small appliances, minor hardware needs, flowers). Next to Gateway TriMet for busses and three Max Lines. Has Providence Urgent Care next to the TriMet garage. Also Doctors Offices on the other side of TriMet garage (in back of Fred Meyers).

There are decent stores here, but quite often there are empty storefronts. Its convenient to MAX, which makes it easy for panhandling. Not dangerous, but some people may be uncomfortable. Fred Meyer is the anchor store. Office Depot and Ross have been here for many years. There are a number of places to eat, and lots of parking.

I love going to this place. The outlet stores almost always have great deals on things, especially on shoes. Whenever one of my pairs dies, I come here to get a replacement pair. They also have a decent selection of other clothes and whatnot. Definitely worth coming here if youre in the market for new apparel.

I would give it a better score if it wasnt for the fact that the crime there is bad. Especially the backside of fred Meyers prostitution, drug using and delivery, fights muggings, theft the list goes on. The daytime isnt to bad there are places to get a quick bite if hungry, and the max is really close.

It has improved and good place to walk around from getting groceries at Fred Meyers & across the street is WinCo. Clothing stores and dinning and fast food restaurants all in that neighborhood. Nearby is Medical Centers & Dentist offices. Tri-Met Light rail & Bus station near by. Nice little community.

The different stores to go to. I just dont like going to the same place Everytime when I go out shopping or to eat, or whatever Im set out to do, in the course of my day, or my outing that day. I like different varieties of stores and some malls, dont have the same stores.

Criddlers live in the bushes in the parking lot. Except to be accosted for smokes and spare change with every step you take. Linger for too long and there wont be enough hand sanitizer and hepatitis vaccinations in the world to keep you from catching something.
