So, I made an order online. On Friday morning of last week I received an email saying your order is ready to be picked up at Wilco. That afternoon I made the 15 min drive to the store and asked where I could pick up my order. An associate walked to the back and said, well I dont see it, or its on one of these pallets that hasnt been received in yet. He says someone will call you when we receive it in. So the weekend passes, I receive no call, so on Monday at 1115 am I walk into the store and ask for a manager. Don an associate disregards my request to speak to a manager and says what did you need? I told him I was emailed a confirmation to pick up my order on Friday, and I came in and was told by an associate that they would call me when it was found. Don disregards my frustration, asks me what my name i, and then walks off looking for my order. He finds it, instructs me to follow him to the front of the store. We get to the front of the store and he asks me to sign some paperwork. I stop and say, that the store should not send out emails saying that my order is ready to be picked up. Don once again disregards my concern, and says to me that it has nothing to do with us. Im like ok, well this is obviously a problem, and someone should fix it, it wasted 30 min of my time, and gas. He looks at me like no one from the store should be held accountable. I then said well, an associate from your store said I would receive a call, but I didnt. Don says we only call on special orders, once again acting like my concerns are not valid. Im like ok, so I cant rely on what an associate of your store tells me? He then says Ill handle it.... Then says have a nice day. I walk out not wanting to waste anymore of my time. Ultimately, are you kidding me....I can shop at any store. I chose to do business here, and was treated like Im a bother, that my time, and gas are of no value. Treated as though I should not expect any level of customer service. If a business works with an outside source, its the business responsibility to straighten out miscommunications, and make sure that their customers dont have to deal with unnecessary grief. Im sure my order isnt the first that has had issues. Ultimately, how I was handled as a customer is wrong, and Im taking more of my time now so that people online can see how customers are treated.

I appreciate the wide selection of things I can find here. Usually I shop for dog supplies, hardware, and farm equipment. I do visit often, but even when Im looking for something new I can usually find it easily as the store is clearly laid out and I can find it with no extra trouble. The only disappointment here for me is that the customer service has had its ups and downs. There have been times when I needed help finding things and there have been no employees around to ask. I also very much appreciated the cashiers greeting you when you first came in the door (if they werent busy) which has not been happening for several months now. Not the biggest issue, but it is one of those extra touches that makes me feel appreciated as a shopper, and also tends to make the employees feel more approachable. I do understand and appreciate that they dont always feel like engaging customers, but when theres no eye contact or even a simple "did you find everything alright?" I tend to feel like a bother and not really enjoy my visit.

I recently adopted a dog and went here for the first time to prepare the day before I picked her up. My wife and I had a lot of shopping to do. Everyone was extremely helpful with more than just our questions. Nearing the end of my first shopping trip on the dog treat aisle next to the registers, an employee told me they were going to close soon. I made a few quick decisions on treats and some training rewards. When my wife and I had to wait for them to unlock the doors, we noticed Wilco had officially closed 35-45 minutes earlier. Yes, we spent 100s of dollars on our first visit but any one of them could have told us they were trying to close. My wife did have a difficult experience on visit #2 or 3. After our most recent visit, we are chalking that up to the girl having a bad day and the software not being able to find my account based on name alone but was found with my phone number. I will not go anywhere else for my dog as long as I live in OC.

Took my dog to get groomed there, and after telling them how I wanted her cut, I warned the groomer about a couple moles my dog had. I made a point of showing the groomer where they were and watched as the groomer scribbled notes down about it. When I returned for my dog, she had a number of cuts over her body. The groomer had cut up her leg, given her razorburn on her neck, and sawed the top off one of her moles. And the groomer didnt even give her the haircut I described. Im furious about how they injured my dog repeatedly, but what can you do? My dog is now bandaged and wearing a cone over her head while she heals from the mistreatment she suffered. Never taking her there again, and Im going to warn other pet owners about what happened. Its ridiculous!

Wilco is generally good due to the fact theyre a farm store as well as a hardware store. However dont expect them to honor their price matching policy. They will do whatever they can to get out of it. They never teach the new people so youre always talking to someone whos never done it. It will take 20 minutes for them to call the other store for a price confirmation. So if you want a price matched dont bother bringing in a receipt they dont care. The other store has to be open, they have to be slow enough to answer the phone and both parties have to be competent enough to figure out what the other is talking about. Why didnt you just go to the other store? That was totally worth 3 dollars, right?

I called on a Monday night to get my dogs hair cut, they took him the next day which was awesome! I told the girl I talked to on the phone he was skiddish to have his face/ears cut and she told me that wouldnt be a problem. So I come in to pick him up they have cut open my dogs ear!! He had blood all over it, I was so upset. The girl cutting his hair felt so bad, and they gave me a discount and offered to pay any vet bills, I just wish next time when I tell them on the phone something important they would take note so this all could have been avoided. His nails, and hair look great, but hes pretty irritated by his ear. I dont know if Ill be coming back...

I walked in this facility looking for ducks, I felt that as I was asking a couple of the employees, I felt they didnt care much about me as a new customer, especially when I finally told a young lady that their prices were larger than they should be, (from comparing prices with other such feed stores), again the lady was not very helpful, and in addition she didnt even try to earn my business when I said about buying some birds elsewhere, I feel that that the only reason that this place stays in business is courtesy of theyre regulars, as is they are not persuaded to come to the aid of new comers such as myself.
