I called the business to ask if they could re-key an entry-door lock for my home, and I was told they could do it. I said that I would arrive around lunch time but actually arrived at 11:30 am. When I inquired about getting the lock re-keyed, I was told the only person with the skill to do the job was at lunch. Actually, the employee was helping another customer but was heading back to lunch when he finished. I was told to leave my house key or come back in one hour. First, I will never leave my house key with a stranger unsupervised. And second, driving back over icy roads was not something I wanted to do; especially after I had called ahead. I had taken my lunch break to drive to the business with less than favorable driving conditions, but the employee could not postpone his lunch to perform a 15-minute re-key procedure. Everyone was very apologetic; however, I did not feel that anyone was too concerned. So my solution is to take my business to Lowes or Home Depot where I know theres service.

Im reading the couple negative reviews here and Im inclined to think they could only have been posted by operatives from Home Depot and Lowes. Everybody in Yamhill County knows about the customer service at Newberg Ace. Theyre famous for it. You can spend an hour at Home Depot trying to FIND someone to help you. At Newberg Ace, they literally seek you out to try and help. In the 200 times Ive been to Newberg Ace, I dont think Ive gone more than 30 seconds waitied before a friendly, knowledgeable salesperson came up to help me. Most of the time theyll meet you right at the door and then wander around the whole shop with you finding the stuff youre after. And they know where everything is and what it does! Newberg Ace is a throwback to a different time, when people were good at their jobs and things worked the way they should. What a thing to celebrate!

This is an all inclusive hardware store. To be honest, I wasnt expecting such a great product selection but it was nice to see. The customer service is outstanding and very helpful. Its important to me to shop local and when business owners take a real responsibility when it comes to their customers, they will have my business every time. To the owners, keep up the great work because Im telling everyone I know about the service Ive received while shopping at your store. Oh, to Jackson and Jeff, you are the BEST!! you guys know more than Plumbers do. God Bless!

We tried to "support local business", but if I could give them zero stars, I would. Not only are the owners and employees EXTREMELY rude, but every time we have gone in for items the sales associates give us the wrong thing. Its a waste of time and gas, especially when we had plumbing problems and had to turn off our water to keep it from leaking every where. We will never shop there again, and would never recommend them. Save yourself the hassle and go to Lowes or Home Depot. Its worth the trip.

I go here 1-2 times a week, mostly for my business. It is great having a store staffed with people willing to help. Vs. the Home Depot experience where you are lucky to even see an employee on the floor. They have most items one needs and excel at being a hardware store. They added a whole home decor and gifts side. That part is a bit odd for a Hardware store, I just walk past it all. Prices are not too bad, you do pay a bit extra for the convenience.

This is the best hardware store Ive seen. I used to drive to the big box stores until I decided to stop in here. They have the best customer service around and their staff is very knowledgable. I normally walk in with a project in mind but no idea what I will need. They always know exactly what I need and have the parts in stock. Not only do they help with the parts but help with the what to do/not do when working on a project.

This is a great store. One day I went there, and in the span of 15 minutes was offered help by no less than four people; in contrast, the same day I went to Home Depot and had to SEARCH for help. One of their employees, Jackie, has been super helpful with taking time to explain how to use their chalk paint. Shes a gem. This store is one of the reasons I like living in a small town.

The Newberg Ace store offers great services for novices like me. The store is organized so items are simple to find. The staff is helpful and do not talk down to you if you are learning a new skill. This location makes copies of keys and offers free popcorn.
