I took an antique ring in to be resized, retipped and a crack repaired. They told me prior to me dropping it off no problem on making the repairs and the sizing. $594 dollars later I have an ring they removed the makers mark on (big no no on antique jewelry that effects its value), its sized to small and lopsided (cant wear it), the repair they did is clearly visible as it now partially covers the filigree on the ring side. I had a real jeweler look over the repairs and say its heartbreaking what they did to such a pretty old ring and list (unknowing what Fredmeyers had repaired) all the things I had just had repaired as needing to be redone. Save yourself the heartbreak of having them ruin your jewelry and then charge you for it to be able to get it back. Go to a real jewelry store who doesnt use crack pot out of store goldsmiths.

I brought my diamond necklace in for inspection and cleaning. The associate glared at me. And it didnt get inspected or cleaned. I had to take it back when somebody else was working.
