I have health insurance that pays 100% up to 150 dollars for glasses... Only problem is it has been about 10 years since I purchased glasses and man have the prices gone up. This place charges separate for glasses and lenses and forgive my ignorance if this common practice but I opted for contacts instead. The customer service was good, the lady was helpful and friendly but the best part was the eye exam. The eye doctor they have working at the Clackamas Location was professional and even did not have me book an appointment when I came in a few days later asking for more help on putting contacts in. Pros: Excellent service , Latest styles in just about every major brand name. Sunglasses and many options for types of lenses. No pressure sales plus they gave me all options available for my insurance plus helpful tips on getting the most out of my insurance. Told me a few options that my insurance company did not even give. Over all I enjoyed my visit. Cons: FRIECKEN expensive. I am sure there are nicely styled frames at other places for a fraction of the price. I had a -50 correction in both eyes, least expensive frames were about 150.00 and lenses would have been 200-395.00 If you are affluent enough and not saving money to move than this place has good quality. Otherwise I suggest a different place. In the end I could have easily spent the money and had it to spend on glasses. I was saving up for some upcoming expenses thus I opted for contacts for now. I gave a 4 out of 5 simply because I feel they should have some low cost frames reserved for people who depend solely on the insurance they get from their jobs. Then again I understand it keeps many freeloader Obama care people relegated to lower end options like Walmart... I may rethink that 4 rating and give em a 5 after all...

I have been going to Dr. Clegg at the Clackamas Promanade for my yearly eye exams for several years now. He is very good and very thorough and I will always stay with him anywhere he works. The eyeglasses for purchase at Pearle Vision are all the brand names of Luxor, very very expensive. I have progressive lenses and a pair of glasses with these lenses would be several hundred dollars. I gladly pay for Dr. Cleggs exam but go elsewhere for my glasses. I dont have vision insurance anymore but only had an allowance of $150 towards glasses when I did. That doesnt go far there at all. My 5 star rating is for Dr. Clegg and the eye exam. Although the staff of Pearle vision is friendly and helpful I would have to give the store 2 stars for the exorbitant prices.

Terrible, this place has an awful atmosphere, the doctor will refuse to prescribe your preferred eye contacts brand! They first said that the contacts Ive been using for +10 years was not being commercialized anymore. When I took my cellphone and showed them that it was not truth, that I could order it online they did not believe me and started calling few places, after confirming that I was not lying the doctor looked at me and said "IM NOT PRESCRIBING THIS BRAND, IF YOU WANT IT, YOU HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE". So thats it, I would not trust that kind of professional.

Went here to get lenses for my new frames. After paying for the unnecessary eye exam that offered 1 year when law permits 2 years, Im told, in broken English, their lab isnt equipped to make lenses for rimless frames which I have. They offered no alternatives or advice and was a huge waste of time and money and Im never going back. I ran across an opportunity to write this review when looking for somewhere else that deserves my business. Dont go here unless youre suffering from an abundance of time and money. Youve been warned!

Very terrible...I was needing some assistance with vision care. I was traveling through the area...had damage to contacts I was willing to purchase contacts. And seeking a pair just so I could make it home to my destination to avoid unsafe travel...they would not help.

Be prepared to be greeted by a snarky receptionist. One of the most rude receptionists I have encountered. Doctor does not listen and does not believe you.
