Amazing people who have artist integrity and arent focused only on your money but on your tattoo vision. I went to Black Sheep on Saturday to get a tattoo done and had a GREAT experience. My tattoo design was a mother and child outline with my daughters name below. I wanted the tattoo on my forearm facing me - which to everyone else would be considered backwards or upside down. Upon entering the shop I met Aaron. Aaron was so nice, sweet, he explained common issues with white ink (which is what I wanted the outline to be in) so that I was fully informed and seemed to really want to do my tattoo. However, because it was "backwards" Aaron didnt feel comfortable doing it because it went against everything he was used to doing. A lot of parlors are concerned with getting you in and getting your cash, but Aaron was more concerned with ensuring that the tattoo I received was one that I would be happy with and was what I had envisioned it to be. Since Aaron didnt feel comfortable completing the tattoo "upside down" he apologized and I went somewhere else. I know most people would expect that someone writing a review would have had a tattoo done in the shop, but obviously I didnt. Yet I feel it is important to inform people looking for a shop to know that the people here have artistic integrity and arent just in the business for the money. Its important that when you entrust your life long artist canvas to someone it is with someone who is as invested in your art as you are. Thats something great and rare honestly. I know that if I get another tattoo Ill definitely be going to see Aaron first.

Kasey Wolfenkoehlerr, is an amazing artist. Not only is she super kind and patient, she is incredibly talented and skilled. I had the privilege to be tattooed by her today, and I was not only incredibly excited by the preview paintings, the lines she put on my skin absolutely blew me away. She has been so much fun to work with. She is very patient and is dedicated to creating a piece you will love, and will go to the lengths it takes to understand--and create--what you want. Absolutely a fantastic experience!!!! Marks work is flawless. Very professional. The shop is one of the nicest Ive been in. I have been inked in over two dozen shops and this man has really thought of the customers and their guests comfort. Ive finally found a tattooist that doesnt try to kill you on prices he has done to custom pieces for me and one half sleeve on my wife without us have to mortgage or house. His work is nothing less then exceptional. You wont be disappointed he is one of the good guys.

I went in Friday for my first tattoo witch was done by Mark Heartenburger, I told him my ideas and he was able to make it better than I could ever have imagined he did such an amazing job and Im so happy with it! Everyone at the shop is so nice and friendly and I felt very comfortable. It was a Great experience and Ill be going back to them every time! This shop is amazing in every way. Ive gotten tattoos all over the USA and this is experience was by far the best. Mark is such an amazing artist and made my tattoos beautiful. Im starting sleeves and he will be completing them without a doubt. I cant say enough about how pleased and excited I am. Ive recommend him to everyone who asks about the work he has done so far. If anyone has ink needs please go to here. The shop is absolutely perfect. Very relaxing to be around and a very chill session. The perfect artist. I was able to listen to my own music and even watch videos on my laptop while casually visiting with the artist. I was by myself and they made it super comforting. The experience was one I for sure wanna repeat.

Went in today as a walk in, with Kasey as my artist. This lady was very professional. She listened to what i wanted even assisted by giving me advise to make it just a tad bigger due to details in the image. After finding out this is my first tat, she assisted with my questions with knowledgeable answers. This shop has a loyal costumer from this time on.
