If youre looking to have any kind of tattoo done, then I highly recommend Royal Ave Tattoo as the place to get it done. Some people make call me silly, but it was my first tattooing experience and I put a lot of time and thought into whether or not I wanted to get a tattoo to begin with before even settling on an idea. So it was important to me to have not only a talented artist complete the job, but an artist that was happy and proud of his work do it. I RECOMMEND DAVID AS A TATTOO ARTIST. Hes a very easy-going guy, hilarious to converse with, and truly made my idea come to life in the best ways possible. All of the people here are very easy-going, and easy to converse with. You, absolutely, cannot go wrong with choosing Royal Ave Tattoo for your next tattoo. I added a picture below of my tattoo just because there wasnt any examples of script in any of the portfolios by the front desk, but he truly did he a fantastic job. I am so beyond pleased.

Dont listen to the haters in these reviews Royal Ave has been named one of the top 10 shops in the Houston aria. Russell and Ash will go well above and beyond to take care of your needs. The staff are quite talented and they continue to constantly produce top notch quality work. Dont let the one or two haters who have left crappy feedback sway you away from dropping by the shop as they probably had their pantys in a twist prior to going to the shop or they had a crapy atitude and got shut down for being rude or drunk or whatever else.. Its a tattoo shop and anyone with a computer or a smart phone can leave feedback no matter if they had work done or if they were turned away at the door. But take it from a guy that has hours and hours of time spent being tattooed in this shop. You will not be disapointed!

I went in to Royal Ave Tattoo to start on some cover up work started by Eric and although i have waited 2 years plus to start on the coverup.bc i really wanted it to be what i was imagining. Well long story short the tattoo faded extremely bad. Not only did he scar my hand but alot of the color jus came all the way out. On top of that we only did about 2 hrs worth of work and i was charged for 4hrs. Ive tried to contact him to get some touch up work done on it but havent gotten a response or amything. I wanna say it is a very nice shop and looks like its ran very professional but for this to happen and then get ignored from his mistakes is not cool! This isnt directed to the whole shop staff but to the artist that did my tattoo.

I got my first ever peircing done here and the experience was amazing! I loved how their peircer, Ash, is just a peircer and not a tattooist who does peircings on the side. She was extremely knowledgeable and taught me so much. Her bedside manner was great and she made me feel like she had all the time in the world for me even though she did have other customers waiting. She explained everything she was going to do before she she did it and her overall happy disposition really helped me stay calm. Even though their location is quite a bit further from my residence than other peircing shops, it was definitely worth the drive. If you or someone else is considering getting a peircing, I implore you get it done here.

My experience here was awesome. I got my tatoo done by ADAM. I orginally had scheduled an appointment with Russ two weeks ahead of time but he was unavailable, which at first had me upset because he could have notified me. Although, Adam was wonderful and my tatoo is bad ass. He was very professional, friendly and just cool overall. The prices here are a bit steep but its totally worth your money if something has to be on you forever. Im so happy with my experience and I will return to Adam who did an awesome cover up (which is isnt easy)! My tat lines are perfect, and shading is great. Im a happy camper! Thank you Adam for the beautiful artwork in which you created. Love*peace*harmony

Went in for an appointment for a tattoo but my artist left the shop for undisclosed reasons and I got put with another artist they recommended. He had a broken leg come to find out from a bar fight. He charged me $300 for an hour and 20 minutes or so of work that was extremely rushed and sloppy. He literally shaded outside the lines and the work doesnt look good at all. Went in later to have it fixed by a different artist who did it just as rushed and made the mess even worse. Keep in mind the entire time the artists upstairs were telling me its great custom work that the previous artist had done. Found my original artist and he couldnt believe what they had done to my tattoo.

I chose this place based on the reviews and after today, it was definitely The Best choice! I went in for 2 piercings and the first thing I noticed was how clean the shop is. Ash was the first person to greet me and she was so nice and informative with the starting process. Once I went to the back, she was very thorough in every step. She did AMAZING on my piercings!! She took her time with making sure it was all even and placed of my liking before the final step and her patience and skill really shows. I HIGHLY recommend Ash for piercings and I am already planning on going back.

A few weeks ago I was able to get tattooed by Ronnie. I was in Texas on business from Atlanta and decided maybe itd be fun to get tattooed. So glad I did! Ronnie is wonderful and completely transformed my idea into something much more than I had hoped for. Be a trusting client and let him do his thing! Im so in love with my tattoo and it was a great experience overall! Also for the shop in general - its very clean and everyone was very welcoming even though I had never stepped foot in there before. If you want to get tattooed - go for it!

Extremely rude artists, and poor tattoo execution. Did not try to connect with customers. Rushed through my tattoo and jabbed the needle in my leg and girlfriends wrist. They left splotches of color missing from both our tattoos and they are not healing properly. The piercer was very rude and very unprofessional. Made fun of us for having "basic" tattoos. I would not go back to this shop for any reason, and I suggest nobody else does if you want a good tattoo experience.

Ash was very knowledgeable about body piercings (my belly button to be precise), and even though I had it done somewhere else, she gave me at least 50% more information on the procedure and was more than willing to share it with me. The belly rings they sell are stunningly beautiful and very high quality. I will recommend this place, and specifically Ash, to any of my friends seeking out any piercings.

I had a piercing done by Ash, and I had the best experience ever! Ash was very educated and answered all of my questions with patience. She made me feel extremely comfortable even though I was nervous. The rest of the staff was great and very friendly. Plus they run such a clean shop-- I cant stress that enough! I would highly recommended this place to anyone looking to get work done.
