DO NOT GO HERE!!! They are the rudest most unprofessional staff ever. I know the associates(high school and college kids) dont make a lot of money but thats no excuse to be rude and have an attitude. I started shopping here when it was WESTIES shoes FOREVER ago and let me tell ya. It has gone down hill. Selection is horrible and you can get better deals on line trust me. Ima shopaholic and love a good deal! They do follow you around like sharks, like you are going to STEAL and it is sad that they are trained that way. CORPORATE- SERVICE STANDARDS, ACCOUNTABILITY, PROFESSIONALISM, ANY SORT OF TRAINING??? Also they are not very knowledgeable, AT ALL. I have ordered online and my order has been WRONG, and I have had items sent to me from other stores and it has been WRONG. You can go to sun and ski sports or Northface outlet or any online retailer and get better service and selection. Seems they cater to GREEKS only. I tried to support this local business owner and his partner but this is not worth all of this. Spent thousands and I have decided to send my business to other more service oriented establishments. Upper management doesnt care about service clearly. I worked retail for many years and I would have fired each and everyone of these employees for their lack of service and skill if they worked for me. This is totally unacceptable. Shonda-Norman Manager has poor managerial and communication skills, Fred- Assistant Store Manager is just lost. Consumers have the power to shop where they get good service. If you expect less than Walmart service for a Nichols Hills Plaza Price.... then hay go here! I prefer to spend money with local business that ACTUALLY service their customers professionally and consistently. RUN RUN RUN RUN. If you dont believe me read the other reviews and see for yourself or if you are up for punishment go there yourself! Then you will be writing an awful review too!! You will be running out of this place. RUN RUN RUN RUN. Not to mention is so stuffed full of overpriced items that it has begun to look like a thrift shop. Norman customers DESERVE BETTER!

Horrible experience. Their return/exchange policy is ridiculous and no exceptions even during the holidays. To expect people to keep the original price tags, and intact must I add, the pink zip tie intact, the original receipt and also have me in their computer system of what I purchased but if any of the above is not done they refuse exchanges/refunds and during Christmas time to boot. Nobody keeps the price tags on gifts. I kept the receipt and kept the zip tie. They could look my purchase up on their computer but still refused to refund my money. They did not have the correct size in stock (this being a gift for my mother who lives out of state so I was trying to exchange it or at least get my $ back so that I could buy her something else). So finally after kicking and screaming I received a gift card for $190, they received the unused item with zip tie in tact and original receipt and I received a gift card of no value to me since I refuse to ever do business with them again and so far my mom has not received a new gift. So now I have a gift card for sale to those who want to receive terrible customer service and no appreciation for your business and hard earned money spent with them. I was going to file a formal complaint with the BBB but found that they are not members and of the 5 complaints the store only responded to 1. After looking at google reviews and having my own experience with them, I now realize they would spend way too much time dealing with upset customers. What they forget is that being good to a customer usually the customer will tell 2 people but mistreating a customer, the customer will tell at minimum 10 people. I will never buy from this store ever again and I will do my best to tell everybody I know via all social networking what a horrible experience I had. I will definitely advertise for this store.

The shoe selection was nice but that was the only pleasant part of my family’s trip to Metro Shoe Warehouse in Norman, Ok. We visited Metro shoes for the first time to buy my daughter a pair of shoes. The sales associate was very pushy. It took her 10 minutes to check us out because she wanted my personal information, I was paying with cash and I thought asking me for my full name was suspicious. When I asked her why she rolled her eyes and gave me a dirty look. My husband gave her a fake name and she said THANK YOU in a hateful manor. She told me I couldn’t bring these back unless the name you gave me matches your identification. She said she worked completely on commission and when you bring these back I lose my commission. She then said at Christmas all these people and college students spent lots of money and she got a thousand dollar commission but the next day when people brought back their returns metro shoes took it out of her check and she lost all that commission. Why is this my problem? Why doesn’t metro shoe have a better return policy so the sales associate doesn’t make the costumer feel like the sales associate is personally attacking them, when they buy shoes. When I looked at the receipt the policy she explained was not on the receipt! I have no intention of bringing the shoes back but I didn’t need to go through all this trouble to buy a pair of shoes with cash. I will never be back to Metro Shoe Warehouse but I will call the manager and tell him how aggressive and hateful that girl was tonight.

I visited metro shoes in Norman today and was not allowed to participate in their promotion of buy one get one half off, because I was a male wanting to purchase shoes for men. Their promotion was for women shoes only!!! I voiced my opinion about feeling discriminated against because as a male I was not afforded the same opportunity as my female counterpart of being able to purchase shoes for myself, with equal buying rights. I escalated my concern to the owner, either Keith or Heith, it wasnt clear when he introduced himself. Never the less my concern was noted with him and ultimately I was not allowed to purchase the shoes I wanted because this particular promotion was for women only, as stated by the owner. Other customers who over heard my grievance agreed with concern. I strongly encourage people to refrain from shopping at metro shoes until all customers are treated equally. The store sales both women and men merchandise and both genders should be able to share in equall buying rights. Again I strongly urge the public from shopping with metro shoes until equal rights for all buyers are acknowledged!

I am a woman who wears a size 11. I usually shop online for Clarks, Merrels or a few other brands that carry nice shoes. It is not an uncommon size anymore. I heard Metro carried all these brands so was excited to be able to actually see them first and try them on. Sales person was nice but after searching through all these brands and finding none in my size I asked her if I was wasting my time looking. Apoarently so. She told me they could order them. Well so can I. Im deeply disappointed. I was prepared to buy several pairs. They run around $80 to $110 a pair. Once she realized I would not be able to buy any she of course left me, I looked a bit more and left. No friendly"thank you for coming in". I think about five were by the counter when I left. Metros loss. Ill go back to the north side where they do carry my size or order online. Metro your missing a whole section of selling power.
