I used to enjoy going to this Cracker Barrel for breakfast. That was until I visited them on Saturday July 29th, 2017. We were seated quickly, and our waitress was friendly, attentive, and handled the breakfast rush well, but that is the end of the good experience my wife and I had there. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but the quality was complete junk. My wife ordered the strawberry french toast and a side of bacon. I checked their website, their "Side Plate" of bacon is 3 slices of "Thick Cut" bacon. What she received was under cooked, soggy, tasteless french toast, and a full size plate with one scrap of bacon on it. The bacon was paper thin, calling it thick cut is a joke. It would have taken 3 slices of this bacon to make one thick cut slice. My wife inquired about the fact that the side had one slice of bacon and the waitress told us that the side is one slice. One slice of paper thin bacon for $2.10. Nope. Not ok at all. We would have complained at the time, but the food was so bad that we didnt want a replacement. I ordered Uncle Herschels Favorite, with two scrambled eggs, hash brown casserole, a piece of hickory-smoked country ham, and "All the Fixins" which included grits, gravy, and two biscuits. The only thing on the plate that was properly prepared was the hash brown casserole which was good. The eggs were overcooked on the outside and under cooked on the inside, resulting in rubber surrounding glop. The ham was dry as a bone and half the size of the slice I received in a previous visit. The grits were under cooked and tasteless, the (frozen) butter helped some, but by the time the butter melted the grits were lukewarm at best. The gravy was room temperature when it was brought out, resulting in a skin on top and the consistency of paste when spooning it onto a biscuit. The biscuit was, as expected, under cooked and extremely dense. For this we were charged around $25. We tipped the waitress, and paid our bill, but we will never return to this or any other Cracker Barrel. There are so many better options out there, theres no reason to pay for inferior quality and stingy portions.

HORRIBLE WAIT STAFF. We were the first people in the restaurant at about 6:35 a.m. they sat us in a seat where the sun shined right on my face, so we asked to move and she said she wasnt allowed to move us. We ordered meals that you select either sausage or bacon, we both specifically said sausage and they brought us both bacon, when we sent it back she looked straight in my face and told me I ordered bacon. She came to our table and made us hand her the bacon, like from plate to her hand, she went into the kitchen and started yelling about us. I asked for not grits and no hash brown casserole and she brought us DOUBLE of both and charged us for it. Food was good though.

Ive eaten here 3 times in the last 5 years.. The food is terrible, and expensive.. Service is good.. In the wintertime there is no place to wait for a table inside the "gift shop" so Ive sat on the floor with people trying to get around me.. But I mainly hate it because of the food.. Terrible quality, and small portion size.. Food is either, cold, old, freezer burnt, overcooked, or not properly prepared.. 2 out the last 3 times Ive been I got really sick, like food poisoning sick.. I will never go back, the only reason I went this last time was because of a birthday party for my nephew..

Good, fresh tasting food. Food is often slow to arrive and restaurant is frequently very busy. Chairs are super uncomfortable and country music is sometimes turned up way too loud, especially in the bathroom. Lots of hard surfaces so restaurant gets especially noisy during busy times. Everyone is always super friendly and they make you feel at home. The country store is fantastic, second to none. You can always find unique, fun and beautiful items there. And they frequently have items in the store marked down up to 70% off.

I love Cracker Barrel! Always great home cooking. Today however our server Conner was extremely slow. It took him 13 minutes to come to our table to order drinks. We put in all our order at that time. It then took him 6 minutes to bring our coffee and waters. He was shaking every time he came to the table. I realize this is Norman and theres a lot of kids but come on. Dont go party all night and come to work and give very poor service. I gave 4 because the food is always great and Im sure Conner was just having an oops moment.

Very rude manager/horrible experience. I have a gluten allergy in which the manager came over and spoke to me to assure me they could accomodate. 10 minutes after placing my order, he sent the waitress over to say "they didnt have time to clean the grill". I can imagine how big of a space would be needed for a pork chop. Then, they actually had the nerve to charge me $5.20 for two beverages! So, Im returning the favor and telling about my experience. On here and for the thousands of ppl on the Celiac support group!

Love the great gifts I can get in here. The food is good ol country cooking. I miss the rosin baked potatoes. Those are the fluffiest, most tasty potato ever. My husband has consistently received cold mash potatoes. His other food hot. The pancakes are fantastic.. I like to get breakfast food there. Always cooked perfectly. The games on the table are fun to play while waiting. It gets my kids off the cell phones for a minute or two.

Poorly prepared breakfast and old, stale grocery goods. Went to the Cracker Barrel on I-35 in Norman, Oklahoma and ordered breakfast. It took a very long time, firstly to be seated and then, to receive our meals. The breakfast was under-prepared. The bacon was white and translucent. The grits were watery, and everything was less than proper food temperature. We have never gotten a good meal from this location. We will not return.

The food was bland, the temperature of the food was barely warm to cold. Had to wait for entirely to long for everything. Waitress wasnt friendly with us but was friendly with her girlfriends, instead of paying attention to our needs. While the manager stood atound watching like a hawk. Instead of just standing there check with your customers. I gave them a one because the place was clean thats the only thing i can say good.

Manager Michael, your restaurant service was horrible, when the waitress tell us that the rock hard cornbread was all we were going to get because your restaurant would rather push the hard biscuits instead of making fresh was one thing. But then you serve a small order of fries and the waitress tells me she asked for more but they resisted with that was all they wanted to fix. Really get appropriate help.

Cracker Barrel is OK. I have even there many times (not my choice) and have yet to have an excellent meal. Dont get me wrong. The food is good and the servers try hard. Its just the food is lacking in spice and originality. It is a fine place to get breakfast and the lobby gift shop has some fun stuff in it. But I would rather go someplace where I can get something seasoned with more than salt and pepper.
