My Experience at MPH Ohio As a fellow business owner, Ill leave my emotions at the door. I called Doug Mid-February to introduce myself and to see if I needed to make an appointment to drop my bike off when I sourced the Race Fuel I wanted to run through my Triumph Speed Triple. In a nut shell he said no, drop it off any time during business hours. Friday March 18th , I dropped the bike off with the fuels and a note explaining what maps I would like to have created for the bike. (Because they never worked on the bike, I have no insight to the quality of work, therefore will not go into detail about the procedures I had requested.) Before leaving I asked both Doug and Scott what the approximate turn around would be for the bike, they both told me about two weeks is typical. I drove off thinking, "Cool. Ill be ahead of the game for the racing season." This is not what happened. Week one, I didnt hear anything, as expected. Week two, nothing again, I thought, "OK they must be busy". Week three, I called and asked if they knew when it would be ready. Scott said they had a virus on the Dyno Jet computer and they got behind three days. Week four, nothing. Week FIVE! I called again and asked when the bike would be ready. Scott told me they had a computer problem that set them back 5 days. I left a message for Doug to call me and gave him 2 different phone numbers, since they close after I leave work. Week five and one day, I jumped in my truck and went down to see what was going on, at this point I was very unhappy and decided to take the bike back. When I arrived, I told Doug that I was here to pick up my bike. He said (conveniently) that my bike was up next on the Dyno and that they were down for two weeks because of the Dyno computer issue. I said its not my problem that you had equipment issues and that I left numbers to call to give me a status update. Doug said "The computers are your problem if you ever want you bike tuned." I couldnt believe that! I loaded my bike into my trailer and collected my parts. I went back inside and told him I didnt like his attitude towards me and that he was giving me the classic run around, they lied about how long it was going to take, lied about how long the computer issues lasted, they never called or apologized for any of these things, and that I didnt trust them to do the work I was more than happy to pay for. Is this the company you want working on your prized possessions? I deal with walk-in customers daily, some of them know the steel industry, most do not. I have never and will never handle a customer like this. This is an factual, honest review I felt was necessary to keep people from having a similar experience.

Came in for a dynotune. I was waiting behind a customer listening to Doug talk to him. As soon as the customer left Doug started talking trash about him and how dumb he was and how he was wasting his time. He laughed about it. I dropped my bike off for the tune and called multiple times in three weeks asking when its ready. Each time they either said its getting put on the tune right now or its being tuned as we speak. They were giving me the run around. Finally I called after week three and they said it was ready. Again I came in and listened to Doug ramble on about another customer, listening to him make fun of them for not having as much knowledge as Doug does! Ridiculous. He shows me my bill and it has a $25 charge that he told me he "discounted" from the usual $50 for not having my PCV at the latest firmware. Im a full time software developer and I know I had it at the latest version so I argued with him about it and he finally took the charge off. He told me never to come back to MPH again. Imagine all the customers hes been pulling this scam with! After I got the tune and my bike out of that hell, I could feel my bike misfiring the shifts sometimes. Overall a really poor experience, not worth 3 weeks for a simple tune and Dougs demeaning attitude.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BIKE HERE. The experience I had here was the worst experience I have ever had when getting my motorcycle fixed. My bike is actually in worse shape now then when I brought it in. I am currently in the process of getting the bike repainted and have to take it to another mechanic to get all the problems fixed. It was in his shop for 7 weeks and I tried to be patient, finally I had to bug him every day to get my bike done. The price ended up being 2 times what was quoted and the problems werent even fixed. A good example of the quality of work he does is the speedometer I had him replace. It is an older model speedo with the tuning speedometer cable instead of ordering a digital speedometer that accepts that cable he ordered an electronic one and ran th black wire down the old braided speedometer cable to the front fork and when the bracket didnt fit he nylon tied it to the cable and clear siliconed it to my chrome fork. This s on a 40,000 custom bike if i was asked i would have paid for a custom backet. The service was completely unacceptableplease do not submit yourself or your bike to it. On top of that he scratched the paint in three places and would not fix it. I had th make an nsyrance claim to get it resolved.

Wish Id seen these reviews before getting ripped off by this place. Dropped my bike off for a Dyno tune, was told "a couple days". Same story as in other reviews... Call after call excuse after excuse. A month later my bike is ready to pick up. Load it onto my trailer drive an hour home and ride. Runs like absolute crap. Called MPH over and over, never got a call back. Finally took my carbs apart myself and Doug had changed the main jet, that is it. A month to change 2 jets (which were the wrong ones, bike was running PIG RICH. No other settings except the mixture screws touched and this was a "dyno tune". $400 down the tubes. I was literally robbed. I told him repeatedly my motor had been worked extensively and the stock settings were going to be way way off and like the other reviewers was treated like an idiot. In the end my carbs needed new slow fuel jets, main jets, the slow air screw settings changed dramatically... A complete overhaul. Things knowledgeable and honest tuners actually do. But Doug is neither. He shouldnt be allowed near anyones motorcycle, ever.

Yeah, definitely not going here after reading the reviews, and getting the same story on the phone that they are a month behind due to dyno problems. Dyno tuner e-mails me from Vegas who is apparently "working" out the problem, and just says hes getting trained on something new. Okay, sure, back to the drawing board. Oh, and I love the fake reviews, instant 5 starts with no comments. And another thing, dude told me I had to pay a $25 dollar charge because I have an old Power Commander. I questioned this charge and he couldnt really explain it. I said is it a charge because I have old firmware? He agreed. Wasnt convincing. How would he know what firmware my Power Commander has anyways? Im guessing their advertised pricing is just to stay competitive, and this is just a fluff charge. Because we can get away with it.
