By far the best tattoo shop I have ever been to. The shop itself is very clean, and the entire area was sanitized and wiped down before I got to sit in the chair. I than received a full explanation of what was going to happen over the next couple of hours and how this was going to go down, as if this was my first tattoo ;). I wasnt sure of what or how I wanted my tattoo to look like, so I let Josh (my tattooer) do his thing which turned out to be one of the best decisions I could have made. Josh really put his heart into my tattoo and it totally exceeded all of my expectations. My tattoo is simply... PERFECT!! The art work is awesome and the tattoo is flawless and professional. I already knew that Josh is the best tattooer before I went in (from people and friends Ive talked to). Last but not least, although you cant really put a price on art, their prices are competitive but their work and professionalism exceeds their competition. If youre looking for any skin modifications these guys are in a league of their own!!!

I am in the process of talking to Josh about doing some tattoo work on me. I have talked back and forth with him on facebook here and there. I decided to go to Modified Skin Tattoos to talk to him in person. Over four hours later I met one on the coolest, laid back tattoo shop owners I have ever met. The shop is pretty interesting and we talked about different tattoos, styles, and he even explained the UV ink process. I am really picky about who I get tattooed by and where. But after talking to Josh and getting to know him and his work I will for sure be getting tattooed by him at Modified Skin Tattoos. It is also hard to find an artist that will work with you and what you want done. Josh will incorporate your idea or sketch with his professionalism. Very professional, clean, and fun place in my opinion.

Avoid this place... If you dont like quality work. They are truly top notch, and Id go so far as to say this shop is the best in the area. They take the cake for originality, and art caliber by far. The shop itself is clean, open, and a fun time in and of itself. Youre not cramped for space, and while youre waiting for your artist to get set up you have plenty of things to look at. They all display their work proudly on the walls, as they should, and thats worth going in to check out by itself! They dont typically have time for drop ins, so make sure to make yourself an appointment. Theyre always willing to make time to discuss bookings & what youre interested in getting though! Expect to pay top dollar, but you get what you pay for. Youre going to walk away with something absolutely incredible :).

I recommend Modified Skin to anyone who is looking to get tattooed OR pierced. I have been going to Josh a.k.a Dragon for the last three or so years and he only gets BETTER. He will talk and ask questions before he starts tattooing to make sure he knows exactly what you want. If hes not the right guy for your piece, hes not afraid to tell you. His pricing is the absolute best in the area. You will always walk in to a clean enviroment and friendly people. He sterilizes anything your skin will touch, and you will see everything unopened before starting. Not only does he make sure you are satisfied before you leave but hes checked in on me weeks later to see how everything is healing. Josh and Staff make it very easy to keep coming back for ink. Keep up the awesome work MS!!

I just got a tattoo from Josh of Modified Skin and it looks awesome! My brother and I decided to get matching tattoos and he did a great job on both of them. There is so much detail and the coloring is great. Josh is truly a great artist with great vision. My brother and I were tossing around a few ideas of what we wanted but Josh came up with the final design to make sure that the detailing and everything would look the best and Im so glad he did because it couldnt have turned out any better! He knows what hes doing and makes sure the tattoo is going to be the best it can be...very professional! The shop was great too...nice and layed back but very clean. I will be going back to Josh for my next one!

I wont go anywhere else to get my next tattoo.. Liz came in on a Sunday, her day off, and stayed from 2-9+ (Still working on my friends tattoo). She is super friendly and a perfectionist. Time isnt an issue for her, she just wants the tattoo to go beyond the customers standards. She had two difficult tattoos to do and was not only willing to stay and work for a long period of time on her day off, but did a kick ass job! Josh is SUPER friendly. The environment is top notch and my friend agreed. Laid back and very hospitable. Just a great experience. I absolutely recommend this place. And FYI- I RARELY write reviews so the fact that I am actually writing one really says something.

I appreciate all the feed back from Matt Williamson to the other Matt with dreads and long hair to Josh Wiley who texted me back and forth for hours as I explained what I was looking for. Modified Skin redefined what I thought of tattoo shops. This isnt a business just trying to get butts in the chairs; these are artists who put some amazing detail and effort into their designs. This isnt the type of place you go to on a whim for a tattoo picked out of a big book off the wall. They do original, quality pieces and Ive even seen them suggest other artists if they thought it would fit that persons talent better. Tattoos are going to be there forever, so you want to get it right the first time, and the artists at Modified Skin are going to give you something youll be proud to show off forever.

I recently after many years of procrastination I finally recently got my first tattoo. After talking to a lot of artists and doing alot of research there was always something that kept me from trusting anyone to work on me. By chance I met Josh, and to make a long story short got the vibe from him I was looking for. I have had a design in mind for years and with Joshs help, a dream finally became a reality. What a great place! Where else can you go and get a fabulous, professional tattoo in the cleanest shop around; bring in your family while you get it done; watch movies; check out the Flash; joke and laugh and ask all the questions you need to ask to make you feel completely comfortable in making the decision to get a tattoo or piercing??? Its always a no pressure deal... You never have to worry about follow-up care or questions because they are always there to help you. Check it out...you just might surprise yourself when you walk out the door with that new piece of artwork!
