I have received the worst customer service from this store. your store in Massillon. It may not even been their fault, it may be a fault with the company itself but I have never been so pissed off with an retail experience. I have been is the customer service industry for almost 20 years and would be embarrassed if a customer of mine was treated like this. I wont go through the whole story again since I already told it three times today with them. A $1500.00 order of flooring was supposed to arrive on the August, 6th. As of the 6th the website site still said it was coming in. Work plans were rescheduled, a contractor was called to install on the 8th. Finds out that the shipment is sitting in Holiday City but "they are trying to find a driver". It may be in on the 8th, it may not. Looking for a driver????? We never call our customers, only email????? These are the responses I get from their o called managers. This is how their trained? Pathetic. What would happen if I just decided not to pay my card off? Didnt take the calls? I would be in collections. What happened to Menards when they give awful service? Nothing. Nothing happens because Im one customer and would mean squat if I stopped coming to their store. To top it off, I sent this same review to their corporate office and a guy named "Ray" was just as bad. His response was "All delivery dates are estimates unless youd like to pay for overnight service. Please advise if you do". The dude missed the whole point. This has nothing to do with the order being late. It has everything to do with how they handled it.

Let me start by saying I usually receive great service at this store. However, my fiance and I went in yesterday to buy paint. After choosing our colors there wasnt anyone at the paint counter so we proceeded tog other the other supplies we needed. There still wasnt anyone in site so we stood by the paint counter after 10 minutes two more customers came over to wait for paint. After 15 minutes my fiance left to find an associate. He politely asked her to page someone to paint and did not mention how long we had been waiting. She snapped at him saying "Im in paint and if you would just give me a minute Ill be over." So he proceeded to walk back halfway across the store. She followed shortly after storming over in a huff. Then snapped "what do you want" at us. I told her what we needed and then she snarled well thats $35 a gallon as if to say "Are you sure you can afford that?" I continued to be polite and said "ok, that is fine." and tried to hand her the colors. She snatched them out of my hand and stormed off to get the base paint. Then after throwing down the paint sticks on the counter sh began to pick food out of her teeth and wipe her nose on her hand. Then went back to dealing with our paint. After another 10 minutes she slammed the paint down in front of us and said "here" then stomped off. Over all it was one of the worst experiences Ive had at any store.

The new General Manager, Chris, needs a course on Customer Service. A door that I special ordered could not be found in the yard when I drove 30 minutes on a very busy schedule and waited 45 minutes for them to look and reorder. Three hours later, it was found, and I tried scheduling a delivery through Leslie. I could hear Chris telling her that they were not going to work around my schedule, and he was very rude. Leslie told me that the delivery driver would call me ahead of time to schedule the time. I received a call from the driver when he was already at the location of the empty rental house when I was not there or able to get there. The door was not covered with anything and had to be left out in the open until I could get there to take it in. The driver said that there were no special instructions with the door, he was very nice, and he tried to hide it with a trash can. I will definitely be spending the rest of my $5,000 rehab money and future rehab money at Home Depot and/or Loews.

Writing this due to policy changes that are ridiculous. Liked the other times i shopped there. Today, bought misc items and then wanted to get mulch, waited in line at check out, (only one open with a line). Was told policy change, could pay for the misc items then would have to get a loading ticket from the building center for the mulch then get back in line at check out and pay for the mulch. Used to be go to check out, pay for all items including mulch that would be picked up outside, get a printed loading ticket at check out, go get your items. Asked to see a manager, who said " it was always this way", WRONG, didnt even know his store policy of several weeks ago when we bought previous mulch and another time we bought pipe. did not buy the mulch and will not be back. Whomever made this policy change decision is an idiot.

Visited Menards in Massillon, Oh 1/11/14. Interested in purchasing a garage heater. The item was out of stock so we inquired about purchasing the floor model. The clerk was very helpful and nice, but her manager was not. We asked if Menards would discount the floor model, he said no, so we asked about the manual he said look it up on the internet they do not discount floor samples. When the manager approached us, he did not say, "may I help you", he looked at us as if we was disturbing him. Menards could improve manager customer service. I feel bad for the clerk she has excellent customer service skills. Disappointing and will continue to shop at Lowes and Home Depot, but not Menards......

I purchased an item from the Massillon location once I got it home and open the box it was in pieces called many locations and finally found one that has the item in stock in order for me to do an exchange I would have to go back to Massillon return my product get my money and then drive all the way to Columbus and pay for the item only if its in stock, they will not hold any items unless you pay for them doesnt matter if you paid for them already at a different store because it is now their money. Customer Service if you have an issue sucks. My advice to you is open the box right there in the store make sure your item is in one piece.

I am a contractor with NeilCOMP, Inc. I have been using Menards since they opened and spend a lot of time at the contractor desk, Menards is the lowest priced store you will find, they have given me discounts on large purchases and have showed me personally how at times they have made less than $1.00 on an item I purchased, they have gone above and beyond to to get my business and have rarely disappointed me, it did happen once but was an honest mistake by a new employee, over time, the sales associates have become more knowledgeable on there end, I will remain a valued customer and will do lots more business daily,
