Went to Lancaster to Ohio valley cause the range fee is cheap. Was gonna purchase a year membership for 100.00. But when he was checking my ammo it was hornady match grade steel case ammo, not steel round. I was informed I couldnt use it, but if you buy their hand gun ammo a lot of it is not brass case rounds. So my question is? Why this shoots the same round as normal hornady match ammo. I guess they like for people to leave their brass cases so they may reload or sell the brass for more cash, I also was with 2 other guys and was told we had to pay full price but had to share 2 lanes. Is this correct? They seem to like To double dip. Well I sit here waiting on my friends to shoot I will never buy another gun or ammo from this place again. Shop here at your own risk. Also when I informed the range salesman I was gonna get a year pass and then didnt he got extremely rude and said dont go there. I told him no reason to get rude. he said no I just ended it.. What a jerk. Guess working for pennies and other peoples brass makes you a terrible individual. Now I wish I wouldnt have bought those 2 guns a couple months ago from here. They are so out of date their website tells you sqaut bout what they have. If you apply for a gun they still do paper and make a phone call. This place has terrible customer service. Just read some of the other reviews on here.

Terrible store and terrible service. I bought a quad rail for my AR15 there. When I got home I noticed all the parts were not in the box as shown. The next day I bring my receipt and the box back in to exchange it. The manager said it usually comes like that without all of the parts???. I told him I bought one for my sister too and it came with all of the parts and he said I was lucky to get one with it complete. Why sell it if its not complete as shown on the box (sounds like a scam to me). I go back to where the quad rails are and waited in line for 20 minutes to see and the guy behind the counter told me to find someone else to help me. So I waited another 20 min at the gun counter and he told me to go back in line where I was the first time. I was so mad I just left. I have bought thousands of dollars in ammo, guns and accessories there and I will never be back or been treated so badly. I will make it a point to tell everyone what they did to me and never to buy there again. Vance outdoors is a much better store. Properly staffed and friendlier people there. No limit on ammo there either.

I stopped to look at hunting knives. The employee which was a young male working in far back right corner of store where ammunition and knives are located was a poor asset to your business. As I walked to the counter another customer had just arrived to counter also (other customer was a MAN). Your employee asked him if there was anything he could help him with. The male customer said no Im just looking. As I looked at the knives located in the locked counter then on the wall. I then went back to counter and NOT ONCE did your employee ask me if I needed assistance. I started to ask him a question about a particular knife he looked at me then turned around and continued to stock ammunition. I then thought to myself my husband and I have purchased many things at your establishment but with the disrespect I received from your employee I will go elsewhere. Although cabelas is farther for me to drive I will go there. I personally like to shop local when I can but if I am going to treated this way I will not be back. Very disappointed.

Recently bought a Taurus Judge from here. Was not impressed with the sales staff, although I didnt have a lot of questions for them bc I had done my research beforehand. Anyway, went straight from the sales counter to the range to shoot it and the judge didnt work at all. Saleman #1 came in to check it out, opened my box of expensive self defense ammo and shot it, tried to act like the gun worked fine. I made him shoot some more and it binded, another salesguy came in and it binded again, luckily. I returned the gun. I did not like how they intially acted like it was me and not the gun. Also did not like that I couldnt get my money back for the box of ammo that the salesguy opened and shot without my permission. This was several days ago and the money still hasnt been put back on my card. Also, it was so cold in the range that it made you shiver. Had to go outside in January to warm up, but range fees are cheap. So in conclusion: crappy service, cold range, guns are more expensive than Vances, but the range fees are low

My fiance and I went in this evening after very poor service from a couple other retailers. I had called before hand to check on the availability of what I was looking for and was given quick and knowledgeable service of their current products and availability. We were looking for a good left handed bow, which is not the easiest to come across. Cody, the sales person helping us, was beyond exceptional. He was very attentive, polite, and highly accommodating. Instead of treating us poorly based on prior experience, he happily answered all of our questions and helped us put together a more than generous package. He went above and beyond by providing exceptional service through his knowledge and kindness, As well as, offering his card for future service. P.S. Everybody should know that once you purchase ammo, it is nonrefundable. It doesnt matter where you are at, there is no way you are going to get a refund on it. Whether it has been opened and used or not.

It is a nice place to shoot. I live in Columbus and it is easier to get to than other ranges around Columbus. My biggest issue with their shooting range is temperature. I was there last August 2011 and it was so hot I was was drenced in sweat by the time I was finished shooting. I was there today 12/1/2011 outside temperature was around 40 degrees, It was so cold inside the range it was difficult to reload my magazines, my fingers were numb. Other shooters were complaining also. I mentioned it to one of their associates and was told because they recirculate outside air and nothing can be done and all indoor ranges are the same... I was at Blackwing in January 2011 and at New Albany Shooting range in March 2011 and both of these ranges had comfortable temperatures inside their shooting ranges...Ohio Valley has great prices for shooting, but I am willing to pay higher fees and go to another range were the temperatures are comfortable...

Ohio Valley Outdoors is a great place to go. It is kept very clean and the employees have always been very polite and kind. They also seem to have fairly knowledgeable staff. They have plenty of handguns, rifles, shotguns, bows of all kinds, and lots of other odds and ends. They also have lots of accessories for the above items. Another bonus is that they have an indoor shooting range (perfect for those rainy/snowy days!). You can get a yearly membership (which I think is $150 a year) or you can go anytime you want. Its $10 if you buy ammo there, or $13 if you bring your own ammo. Also they have a decent selection of guns you can rent at $10 for the first gun and $5 for every gun after that. The only problem with Ohio Valley is that their website is pretty lame.
