Fast. Delicious. Tons of food for the money. Dont expect fancy though, this is Southern style cooking with pork in the green beans and big chunks of onion in the gravy. I love this place for breakfast and dinner. Dont recommend lunch though as theyll charge you the same price for a BLT or a hamburger (or a full dinner for that matter). Never had to wait to be seated, and the few times Ive had to wait more than 20 minutes for dinner the wait staff and managers all apologized a ton because theyd had a back up in the kitchen from a bus load being ahead of us. I love the gift shop too, mainly because I like to collect seasonal decor and they have a LOT of it and not too many places in the area have stuff like it unless you go out to one of the malls in Columbus. Coffee is good, French toast is tasty, and they have thick, crispy bacon too. If you come for dinner, Id recommend the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans and coleslaw as its like what my mom would make...if she would have made it!

I have never been to a Cracker Barrel before and to be honest I was always turned off by one. I assumed the food would be as bland as the grey/brown paint covering the restaurant. I went last night to the Hilliard location with two friends and to my surprise I loved it! I ordered the Country Fried Shrimp Platter, which came with three…again THREE sides for only 9.89! I am a potato freak so like the fatty I am, I ordered mashed potatoes, steak fries and the hash brown casserole (sorry mom, no real veggies.) The platter came with biscuits which now that I think of it, the waitress forgot to bring them out but I was so full I didnt really need them. The waitress wasnt the best but the manager and other staff were great! They were always upbeat, friendly and even told jokes. Overall I really enjoyed Cracker Barrel and I will be back, hopefully this time I will get to enjoy some biscuits! Thanks for the most amazing and rebellious potato binge of my life Cracker Barrel!

Labor day weekend Poor plaining. Really disappointed! Was looking forward to home cooked meal. Meatloaf and mashed potatos, pinto bean. The works.Only to find out they dont have Meatloaf or Pinto beans. I called as I was upset. Only to find out that the Meatloaf was now being served. I was there alone. If they would have said its still in oven. Due to todays crowd. I would have waited. Or could have come back. But they said they were out of it. Handed menu for another option. No offer for a future discount. To bring me back in.To get an opportunity to make it right. And future business. As a truck driver I look for home cooked food. Tonight I was not only disappointed in their poor plaining. But also in management. Guess that goes with poor plaining.

Its pretty difficult to screw up a grilled cheese sandwich. Not sure what the "cheese" was on it, but it tasted like some kind of oil based cheese substitute, with a waxy texture. Someone else in our group had the sourdough toast, which on the menu was listed as being three slices. Only two slices came out on the plate. That was okay though, because the toast had been toasted to the extent that each slice of bread was more like a large crouton. . . very dry, very hard, and difficult to bite into. The rest of the food was very greasy. I suppose thats country cooking though, and thats what this place offers: heart attack on a plate. I hadnt been to a Cracker Barrel in a long time. I wont be hurrying back.

The wait staff were friendly as usual, no complains there. We were seated and were attended to immediately. Now everything Ive ever had at a Cracker Barrel has been delicious. My wife and I wanted to try their campfire bundles (I got it last year and it was simply amazing!). We asked for the beef one but all they had was chicken. So ok, wed try it. Both my wifes and mine were pretty bland. They tasted like they had been cooking for days and were the very last meals. We both left disappointed. Staff was good as usual but just this one time the food wasnt that great.

Sitting next to the fireplace with that wonderful rustic fragrance in the air coupled with a delicious (and always hot!) cup of coffee with some spicy and tasty turkey sausage is my idea of heaven. Yes, a nice big breakfast is wonderful also! Their eggs and pancakes are somehow always done so beautifully that I wonder how they do it. Oh! I forgot to mention those adorable little bottles of maple syrup that they serve warm! How often do you find an establishment that provides real maple syrup and warmed no less? The syrup is great on their spicy turkey sausage. Yum!

Breakfast very disappointing. and the Togo order process is silly. You have to go to the hostess who sends you to cashier, who has to call a waitress and sends you to the side to wait for a waitress.who sends you to cashier, who then has to wait for the waitress to input your order for you to then pay for it. And the grits are one of the worse I have ever tried in my life and as a southern girl had to throw away could not eat them. And I got the pancakes they were to greasy to eat. I only at my gets and hashbrowns.

My wife and kids love breakfast at any point in the day, so weve frequented this Cracker Barrel throughout the years. The menu is great (both for breakfast and dinner) and the coffee is very good. The decor and atmosphere in the dining room is great. I never feel rushed to eat and leave. My family always finds something in the gift shop that they cant live without and they always have great items on clearance. The kids love the little trinkets that we cant find anywhere else.

Would give zero stars if I could. Terrible service! Ordered one of their country meals for 6, but when I came at the scheduled time, it was a single meal. When they said theyd fix it, they gave me the wrong replacement entree and put them in separate plate servings which I specifically asked them NOT to do. Then when I called to complain, a manager refused to speak with me. Will be calling corporate about this issue.

If you are looking for a great breakfast then you are in the right place! Im sure the lunch and dinner are just as delicious, but this is one of our favorite breakfast restaurants. The menu has a lot of options but if you like hash browns, give the hash brown casserole a try. It is something they are known for. Also has a cute little country shop with a variety of wonderful treasures!

Rainbow trout was Delish. Kale and Brussels sprout salad had a nice sweetness to it. Breaded and fried okra and fries tasted nice with the lemon juice. First time at a fracker barrel but certainly not my last. Ridiculously reasonably prices as well. $11 per meal that comes with 3 sides of your choice and sour dough bread with butter to soak everything up. Would recommend.
