This store shares the same problem that Ive seen at many Walmarts in this area in that when there are 50+ people waiting in 3 open lanes, the management will NOT open another register nor will the cashiers do their jobs with any ounce of urgency. It really boggles my mind why a store that claims to be customer service oriented make their customers wait 35-60 minutes in line for the sake of simply not opening another register. Its not rocket science, you know when the store is going to be busy so why not make a plan and adhere to it. Ughh, I digress. My real beef is actually with the Auto Center. I came in with my girlfriend around 10AM to get the 4 tires on our car changed. Wed already bought the tires online and they were waiting at the store. 1st: The employee who was taking our information was SLOW. Why? probably because he was typing into the computer with two fingers, one from each hand. It took 25 minutes to get our information logged in when it shouldve only taken 3. If youre going to hire someone who will have to use a computer for a vital portion of their job, then insist they are competent enough to do so! There are free tools to teach typing so theres really no excuse for it. 2nd: We knew that there was probably going to be a long wait before our car would be finished as we were told there were 6 cars ahead of us.They took my girlfriends cell number and assured us that we would be called when the job was done. 3 hours later after wondering around the store, the Steelyard Commons Mall, eating at Applebees, and receiving no call we decided to go back and see how much longer it would take. Well the car was finished, and it had been finished for some time. We were NEVER called! I have no idea how long it actually took them, it could have been done in the first hour! Needless to say, they are inept at simple tasks, its taxing on my soul to have to deal with them, and sorry for the long review but I think its warranted.

Well, lets start off with the store itself. The shelves are usually bare and understocked. Sometimes entire aisles will be wiped out. The store is usually dirty and you feel like you need a shower after leaving. The service isnt much better. When you call the store, you usually get a greeting of "why you calling" or "what chu want?" However, the experience only gets worse at the checkout lines. The cashiers will have personal conversations with other employees while ringing out your items. I had enough of this at my visit to the store on September 29, 2013. The cashier "Makayla" was having a personal conversation with another employee who appeared to be on break. When I respectfully requested that she pay attention to my order, she became frustrated and said " Im not dealing with this s**t." When I requested a manager, Makayla stormed off with the other employee and left her register unattended. She was gone for about five minutes before a "manager" named Johnny came to the register. He accused me of using abusive language toward the cashier, when the cashier was the one swearing at me. Johnny then informed me that he refused to process my order and that "we were done." Johnny continued to speak over me and would not listen to my side of the story. By this time, a tall black man and Makayla showed back up at the register and continued to verbally abuse me and my family. We were then escorted out of the store, with Makalyla, Johnny, the tall man, and a rent-a-cop following. I feel that since this is a largely black store, that my family was discriminated against because we were white. When my son began recording the incident, Johnny stated he did not approve of "picture-taking." Has Johnny forgotten that he is in a public place, and therefore has no expectation of privacy? A video of the incident has gone live to Youtube as well as to my lawyer and the local media.

I have come to the conclusion that the entrance to Hell is through Walmart. And the Steelyard Walmart is the worst I have ever had the displeasure of going to. NEVER enough lanes open. If you try to call, someone may answer. But then again, maybe not. The place is often ransacked by noon, which, in the employees defense, is the fault of the many rude, inconsiderate lowlifes that shop there. The employees cant keep up with the mess. Lazy jerks take up the handicapped parking spaces and then roll their fat @sses around on the scooters (dont forget your Deep-Fried Twinkies, chubs) making the TRULY handicapped customers have to wait or do without. A woman actually sat on a scooter while she waited outside for her ride knowing that my friend, who had a broken ankle, was waiting for a scooter. Ignorant, rude slimebags will hold a place in line while their friends/family continue shopping. On several occasions Ive seen people steal bananas and feed their children right in the store and nothing is done for fear that the thief will sue! I saw an employee intentionally knock over a stack of ottomans while two more walking with him kept going. Then one of them (Sam) called me a snitch for reporting the idiot who knocked them over. The managers refused to tell me what, if any, were the consequences of their ridiculous behavior. Because of all the stupid mo-fos associated with the Ghettomart, I have boycotted it for over a two years. I get groceries at Aldi (great prices, friendly staff) and for everything else, I will go ANYWHERE but Walmart!

There is never enough registers open. NEVER. Went this morning, and first of all NONE of the doors were working. Two sets wouldnt open at all. Another opened 2 minutes after Id walked away from it. And, the final one opened after I stood there for a minute. I had to go to 6 shopping carts before I found one without dirty facial tissues in it. Then, when I was ready to check out, there was only ONE register open. In that line, was a woman who took up the whole lane to restock the soda coolers. Why did she have to stage her cart of product in the only open register line????? Then, when I finally got up there, the clerk was ripping up the pay terminal. Again, why was the only register open, one that had a problem with the pay terminal????? And, the final straw was that I bought about 12 items, and he proceeded to put each item in its own bag!!! He was going to give me a bag for each item. As he spun them around to me, I promptly rebagged them all to get down to 3 bags. Now, this was after my other complaint when Id bought a Coke in the gardening department, and the clerk threatened me for refusing a bag for my one item--and item that 99% of the time will be consumed immediately upon leaving the store!!! Ive complained about this store so many times to their corporate office, that Im sick of it. Ive even called to complain while in one of their checkout lines!!!! And, Im not the only one. When Ive done that, people in line have said that theyd considered calling too, but heard that Id already done it.
