I love Barnes and Noble at Mayfaire! I enjoy everything from the books and magazines to the wonderful staff, who have always been kind and thoughtful to my family and me. I enjoy the delicious chai tea soy lattes from the cafe, and the awesome events that they have. Our favorite event is the Mini Maker Faire, which we like to volunteer our time at to help and teach about the awesome new products like Lego Bionicles and robotics. Our 7yo daughter loves to do her homework there sometimes after school. An overall great place to relax and buy a variety products. Oh, and I love how quiet this store is compared to other Barnes and Nobles. I can actually get work done in the quiet cafe, using the free WiFi.

Went in during business hours to get coffee to be told by the little punk girl behind the counter they had already shut down all the coffee machines but we could get something out of the case. If I wanted a pastry I wouldnt have asked for coffee. If you are open until 11 pm that is the time you do complete business. If you clean something before you close then thats your stupidity because you should be turning it back on for the customer then have to clean it again when you are actually supposed to be closed!

I had an excellent experience but even if I hadnt of...Id focus on all the positive things like being able to buy a coffee and drink one. There are people in this world who are too poor to enjoy a Barnes and Noble experience...there are people who cant eat or drink because they have cancwr. I try focusing on my gratitude and leave behind a poor attitude. More joy and more peace that way...focus on what to be thankful for...

*EDIT* Tara from cooperate resolved this issue!!! She went above and beyond what she had to do. Located the item in a different state! very polite and helpful. side note. thank you to Taylor in Kansas for finding the record. also to Regillio for being patient and courteous and calling all over the warehouses to also assist and get a speedy response to our issue. our faith has been restored in Barnes & Noble. Great JOB!!

First, someone please move the location to Mayfaire on Military Cutoff...the current spot is way off!!! I have never had a bad experience there...not sure what the other reviewer is talking about. It is a quality store and a nice place to relax and kill some time (which is usually why I go there), even if you are not looking to buy anything. My only complaint about the cafe is the prices.

They were very accommodating on accepting a return. We also shopped for another book and the customer service person went over the top in pointing out all the books that met the criteria we were looking for. B&N customer service is usually well above average but today at Mayfaire (Wilmington, NC) was exceptional.

Whoever put together the Studio Ghibli collectible display needs a raise. I mean, I know thats not how corporate works, but. This display was obviously done with care and it warmed my heart a little seeing this level of appreciation in a retail world full of cold consumerism.

I come here frequently, their book selection is awesome! They always carry the titles Im looking for and the staff is very friendly and usually attentive to your concerns. The dining area off to the side is usually quiet enough to get some work done with a coffee as well.

Typical store with everything books and more. Staff very helpful, large selection of magazines to read when sipping a Starbucks coffee in thier cafe. Very extensive e-reader section. Its always somehow calming to enter these stores not unlike a library.

Staff is courteous, stock is what youd expect. However the bathrooms are pretty terrible. Always a mess, no ventilation, no paper towels, pools of water everywhere. I go in this store all the time, and its been this way for a while now.

This is just like any other B&N. The book choice is great, store is really clean, and staff is friendly. Cafe offered good choices and drinks. Also offers some nice quiet places to sit and read. All-in-all not a bad bookstore!

Just tired to order a coffee 10 mins prior to the closing time told me they could only see bake case items...why advertise you are open till 1100 if you cannot conduct business accordingly.
