Dont ever take your dog to be groomed here. I had a groomer refuse to groom my dog, insisting her tattoo from her being spayed was a stitch. I showed her my dogs belly to prove she was healed up, and she proceeded to yank on her tattoo and catch her nail under it and try to pull on it while insisting it is a stitch and even calling another employee to touch it and mess with it. Tattoo is taking longer to heal than anything else. Shes fully healed otherwise. AND HAULT... Why are they yanking on it if you think its a stitch?!?! Common sense aint so common, is it, Pet(not so)Smart? The whole reasoning behind not grooming her was a lame attempt at an excuse not to have to work, because had my dog actually had a stitch there and someone yanked on it and tried to pull on it forcibly such as this lady did, this encounter would not have been pretty! I am very protective of my girl and this is unforgivable, even though the employee was 110% incorrect in her accusation of my dog having any remaining stitches. I wouldnt have taken my dog in had she not been fully healed, but now that wont ever happen. I will never take her back there. This is not the first time they have been off the mark here about grooming. Ive been charged for nail trimmings that never happened and found it mildly irritating but this is absolutely ridiculous. You cant groom my dog because you think her tattoo is a stitch, so maybe you should try to yank and pull on it instead?! No damn sense. What they did was worse than grooming her ever couldve potentially been. Never, never, never take your dog here. I am boycotting the entire business because this isnt the first time they dont know their head from their ass, but it surely is the last time they get the opportunity to show me how deep they can see in the dark. For those of you who love your animals, take them to a local groomer and support a local pet store that contributes to your community and has a vested interest in your pet, instead. These jerks treat your pet like they have no emotions. Heard some heinous screams of dogs in the back of the grooming salon while I was there last, also. Ive been to many vets, groomers, kennels, parks, heck even the animal ERs... after having helped with many animals and I know the difference between a dog screaming in pain and a dog barking for innocent or alerting reasons. These sounded like painful screams and it was definitely notable and freakish. Im glad he didnt get groomed there! They tried to reschedule my appointment. HaHa! You must be joking!! Just keep your animal the heck away from here. Its cheaper elsewhere, anyway.

There are several things I really like about PetSmart, and this one in particular. First is that I can take my dog into the store! This isnt just a luxury, it helps to have him pick out his own toys, then Im not guessing about what he will play with or what he will ignore. The store is very clean, and all the personell are friendly. Since my 85-lb dog has a tendency to lie down at will (Im enrolling him in training class there!) employees have even held his leash for me so I could actually get some things from aisle I couldnt get him to go down. The trainer, Kathy, helped me pick out a good harness for him and has been very helpful with tips for training. Their grooming people are wonderful, and my mothers little old dog doesnt mind going there and is always happy at the end of the grooming. Best part? They work with the local animal welfare agencies to help get pets adopted, including housing cats and hosting adoption events on weekends. Prices are reasonable, as well. Im very pleased with this store.

Took my dog here for grooming as always. Staff was friendly for most part. A week later my dog was taken to vet for ear infections. Cost me almost $200. Vet said more than likely was caused by improper bathing or not getting ear cleaner out completely. Called petsmart and explained situation and was told I would get a call back from store manager to discuss my concerns and have yet to receive that call. Needless to say I wont be taking my dog back...period. if they cant discuss a matter over the phone with me concerning a problem that was more than likely caused by a dog bather not doing his job properly then I wont be giving them my business. I wasnt asking for my money back or assistance with the vet bill (which had already been paid) all I was hoping to get out of the conversation was that they would review proper bathing procedures with the staff. I was able to track down a former petsmart employee and she will be grooming my dog from now on.

Came for dog grroming, with clearly a picture of the dog as boo haircut, they said 11:30, he would be done in THREE hours, came back and was very dissapointed. They couldnt even finish the job because he was nervous, 7 month old puppy. Its their job, they deal with dogs like this everyday, but they CANT cut a puppys hair. He wasnt shaved right, looks very bad, and on top of that we had to pay 20 dollars for a bath and nail clippings, he was terrified when we came to pick him up, wouldnt move until I had to go in and take the poor trembling thing out. At the end we had to finish shaving him at home, and poor thing is traumatized. Understand hes a first timer and all, but its too much with what they left him like, no where near the haircut we wanted. Wouldnt reccomend. Now we have to wait months for it to grow back.

This was our 2nd visit and will be our last! On our first visit our dogs feet were not groomed when we specifically pointed out what we wanted done. There were other issues; spoke to the mgr. and we ended up bringing him back to have them done. She assured us she had it in the computer for the next visit and gave us free services for our next visit. We went through the exact same thing this last visit! Nothing in the computer; assured me his feet would be groomed as I had asked. Ha! And free services? I ended up paying more! They groomed the pads of his feet and left everything else! I love the Furminator treatment and the groomer was very nice, but not worth the hassle of dealing with this place! Not exactly sure where the breakdown is, but there certainly is one.

Have been using Pet Smart grooming services in Winston Salem, NC; Charleston, SC and Asheville NC. Used Waynesville last week, December 17th, as it is a shorter distance from my home( 1 1/2 hour drive). Very disappointed when I walked into the grooming area. Smelled of dirty, wet, stinky dogs! I have never smelled this in any other pet smart. Left my dog for grooming at 0900 had not been notified she was ready, so I returned at 12:30 and still had to wait for the groomer to finish another pet before she could go get my pet who had been put back in holding. Not the services and attention my dog and I have been accustomed to at other stores. Very disappointed in customer services at this site.

I have been purchasing products and feeders from this store since it opened. The customer service has been diminishing each time I go. Im now done with this Pet Smart and will purchase online or from a different store. I waited for an employee to help get crickets for 30 minutes, while another man had been there waiting even longer. They have one, very young girl, working the cash register while all other employees are in the break room. This poor girl is the only one ever working when I go in. She called for assistance four times throughout those thirty minutes, of which, no one came for help. On top of that, when the "said" manager came out, she gave me attitude. Absolutely unnecessary.
