Catherine Beck, from Cellular Sales of Sylva turned me into a HAPPY Verizon customer and I always (15 years) thought they didnt exist. On a horrible rainy Sunday, the first of November, I started out to change phones, delete a line, and to see about my mobile hot spots issues. I hate dealing with Verizon. They act like they are doing me a favor as they rob me of my hard earned money and treat me like an idiot at the same time. So this time I decided Id try the independently owned store in Sylva, at least Id be made angry closer to home. Surprise! I met Catherine. She listened to my concerns. She made intelligent suggestions, dealt with the corporate folks from Verizon to get me a great phone, rearrange my data package to be more efficient, got my bill reduced significantly and on my way home in a really short period of time. I was impressed. Then my new bill came. Verizon had charged me 120 dollars plus tax to cancel the line I no longer used three days before the contract was up after they had told Catherine they would waive it. So I called, and she said "absolutely not!" and she took care of it. I cant say enough good things about her and the attitude of this new business. Sure made believers, friends, and loyal customers of me and mine. Give this business a chance to win your confidence.

Be wary! My LG G4 broke, just stuck in the reboot loop (this is a known defect of these phones). I have insurance and its covered under warranty. Went into this store and the salesman (no name because no name tag, I should have asked) told me I had three options: 1. try replacing the battery and they cost around $90 (they actually cost between $9 - $35), 2. get a refurbished phone through the insurance which will cost me $150, 3. pay off the broken phone ($225) and purchase a new phone from him today! He said "My advice is why waste anymore money on the broken phone when you can have a brand new one today.") I told him the phone broke, just stopped working and its covered under the warranty for free replacement. He said no, didnt matter, I still had to pay the $150. That was all a lie! I told him no thanks and went to the house. I called Verizon and she told the truth. I had my FREE replacement phone quickly. I filed a complain but havent heard a word. Know your facts before you go into that store. Actually, working with on-line chat was best. Skip the Sylva store.

Catherine Beck deserves a raise! Never have I worked with a sales representative who was any more helpful and accommodating than Catherine. Being "technologically challenged," Im often intimidated by salespersons who take advantage of my ignorance (often unintentionally--sometimes NOT); in no way was this the case with Catherine. She developed an immediate rapport, answered all questions, made logical suggestions and never once tried to convince me to buy something that I hadnt asked for. Most importantly, she never made me feel STUPID because I didnt know how to perform simple functions. Since leaving the store with my new telephone, Ive been contacted TWICE by Catherine so she could make sure that everything was working properly and to see if I understood everything or had any questions. Shes a keeper, Verizon!

Kayla Moore is an outstanding representative for Verizon sales! I wanted to add my daughter-in-law to my family plan and she took the time to not only answer my questions about the different iphone purchasing plans, but she wrote them down in detail. I was able to send a photo of the page to my daughter-in-law for her to compare with her present plan and also to help her decide which was the best plan for her. Kayla then came in on her day off, my daughter-in-law was visiting for only a day, and assisted us with the purchase and activation. She even transferred all her pictures, contacts, etc., which the corporate store in Waynesville said they would not be able to do. She is definitely an asset to the store and the company!

On a Christmas Eve Dark and dreary I found the Sylva Verizon Warm and cheery Catherine Beck Sales brightest light Talked me through smart phones Both left and right With patience and caring Features and plans became clear Soon an epiphany was on us We’re both winning here! Now back into the night Guided by my new phone It was more than a purchase It was leading me home! But seriously, folks. Catherine Beck did an OUTSTANDING job helping this overwhelmed Luddite buy a new smart phone. She never once pressured me and she answered every last question I had with the ease of a seasoned pro. You’d be a fool not to keep her, Verizon, and like the other lady said, give her a raise!

The absolute best experience Ive had with cellular sales since Ive been buying cellular devices. Extremely friendly and prompt service from the staff. One in particular being Mark whom not only have me an amazing deal on three smart phones 18 gigs of data, but also gave me his personal number to call if I needed anything. He does answer and he does whatever he can to help. I have called him once with a problem and that issue no longer exists. Also, they replaced my 30 dollar screen protector for free and have said they are now lifetime warranty. When its time to upgrade my new phones I will, without a doubt continue doing business with this location.

The policy difference between an actual Verizon store and an authorized retailer is ridiculous. I had to come back to college so I came to this Verizon store. The full store in my town helped me tremendously, gave me the information that I needed to get my issue resolved and told me I could get help from any Verizon store. Well I guess he was wrong because I was told there was no way that they could help me out at this store, even though the other store could. The only reason I am giving them two stars is because they atleast had the decency to not waste my time. I will be using the full Verizon store in Waynesville in the future.

They suck. I went in to get a new phone and they told me to sit and theyll be with me in a few. i was in there for over an hour waiting because as soon as the customer that they were with was done the next person that then walked through the door they immediately asked if they needed help with anything. I got up moved around so they still knew that I was there and still nothing. I even walked out the door just to walk back in and still nothing. It was horrible. Im never going back there again. Dont tell me that youll help me but dont and continue to help other customers when Ive been there for an hour. Thats waisting my time.

Tawnie Whitten helped my fiancé and I as soon as we walked through the door. As soon as it was discovered that my current phone was both broken and not worth fixing, she hooked us up with a great deal on a set of galaxy S7s. Ms. Whitten helped us transfer all the information from our old phones on to our new phones after helping us maximize our budget with great add-ons and discounts. 5 out of 5 stars.
