First off the customer service has an attitude problem. Everyone with whom I interacted had a severe problem with wanting to answer a question. Next I noticed that all of the employees were of the younger generation. Blue hair and tattoos, this has become a common practice among new hires these days. I dont see that as being professional at all. Second I held off on writing this review because I was trying to get a job there because of the start out pay $11 an hour. That is good considering the min wage. So, I went to one interview , a younger guy Mr. Jim Weaver, he seemed as if he wanted to be in total control of conversation with a lot of dam fool questions for a (dish wash job), I say that because I am an older Veteran, U.S Army and have been and seen a lot of people like him trying to be slick in an interview . I did not get the job. So, about two months later the job came open again. I re applied , and once again I got ask a lot of stupid questions. I informed Mr. Weaver that I was a Veteran and had been in retail for "many years" and had also been a Manager more than once. I was then turned over to another person, a Manager named Mike. He also ask me the same kind of stupid questions. I told him the same thing and tried to withhold my judgement of his view of me. I could basically tell I was not going to get the job..A Veteran not hired for a dish washing job is an insult really. So, with the place loaded down with millennials and minorities, they are truly living up to the current diversification model currently put in place to weed out any person who does not fit their persona profile. There is no criteria to wash pots and pans anybody can do that, I have had better jobs with less bs in hiring. I am not a fan of Whole foods employees or their business model. Buyers also beware, place smells a bit fishy is not very tidy and as I said staff is rude to customers with a snotty act of better than you look..

Although I am a huge fan of WF, Ive been dissappointed in the declining quality at the Greensboro store lately. The greens on the salad bar over the past couple of months has often been disgusting - pieces of black, rotting lettuce, arugula, etc. in the mix. If not rotting pieces, then often with many or mostly wilted pieces. I have brought it to the attention of the kitchen manager on duty at least 4 times, always with a promise to do better. However, the next time I go in, its the same. The latest problem has been with the ground pork bought from the meat counter. Last week I bought a couple of pounds. The outside was pink and fresh. However, when I broke the roll open, the inside was brown and smelled bad. This was the day after buying it. Yesterday, I bought another pound of ground pork. There is so much fat in it, it makes me feel sick to eat. When this store first opened, I was impressed with how conscientious the staff seemed - happy, wanting to provide the best product & service. However, something seems different as of late - they seem dejected and apathetic. Is there new management at this store, whats going on? Whatever the problem, someone is not getting the message to some of the staff that the Whole Foods brand includes top quality. That is why shoppers like me are willing to pay higher prices - top quality. I spend $1000 a month on average at WF mostly on prepared foods and groceries. I also own stock in WF. Im beginning to rethink my shopping and investment decisions.

I am usually a fan of whole foods due to the fact that they usually offer good organic products and decent service. Unfortunately, for the past 2 weeks I have had a total of 4 VERY poor quality products sold to me that I had to bring back. First was their 365 almond milk that turned into this mucusy like substance, when the "best by" date was nowhere near, it was disgusting. Secondly, strawberries that molded within 1-2 days of me purchasing, thirdly "fresh" chard that I realized was molded when I took it out to wash it, and lastly soy milk (which is not cheap!) turned gumpy and thick before its "best by" date. The only thing I can assume is that they are not properly checking their products to make sure that they are fresh when they put them out. All Im saying is if youre gonna advertise as this great, fresh, high quality company then be that!

The store is clean and they have good produce, but they are very expensive. The Fresh Market is a much better store in the area that has a similar appeal. This Whole Foods also has a ton of home care products that are very expensive and of dubious quality. I would seriously question the safety and efficacy of some of these things before I considered purchasing them. They have an extensive cheese section and their cooked foods look delicious along with their pastries. Id steer clear of the pre-packaged foods though. Many of the boxed and frozen foods are expensive and rely more on unfounded claims of health benefits than on actual quality. Youre likely better off purchasing such things other places (like amazon) than to pay the premium here.

Healthy, fresh food. I love the animal welfare rating system, and I think Whole Foods does a good job of not stocking sketchy things that people really should not be eating. I wish they would expand the store. Also, theyve had a disgusting moth problem in the bulk section for months. I have been regularly giving them feedback to no end. I thought the problem might be at my home but its easy to find larvae in some of the products in their bins. Ive brought larvae directly from their bins to customer service a few times. They are good about taking returns, but I dont have time to be returning groceries on a regular basis. Still, I love that they focus on health and mindful consumerism, and they have very friendly staff.

As a skeptical consumer and supporter of humane animal practices I have generally been very disappointed by the lack of standards and or worse, misleading claims such as "free range" and "Humane Certified" stickers on packaged meats. After some personal investigaton and a lengthy discussion with (a very informative and concerned) Whole Foods meat department manager, I am thrilled to have discovered that the efforts and standards which have been set in place by this company are genuine and truthful. I hope and believe Whole Foods has raised the bar for other food market chains and I applaud their integrity. I will be a loyal supporter of Greensboros newly opened store. Thank you. ---- Amy Thompson

This particular store is BY FAR the most beautiful and clean Whole Foods Market Ive ever shopped at (out of about 15, in different states). I really appreciate their friendliness (no pun on the location intended) and the workers are very knowledgeable about the products they offer. They have a very wonderful seafood department and the salad bar selection is pretty grand as well. Highly recommended, if youre looking to go grocery shopping in the area, because seriously, no other grocers in the area even come close to their quality. *Yes, Im a real person. No, I am not being paid to give my opinion. Cheers to proper nutrition and good health!
