I will never go back here again. I moved here and randomly selected Optix, based on its good reviews. Staff was amazing, however, I had to wait an hour to be seen to by the optometrist. He was nice, but not even slightly apologetic (Staff totally was). He insisted, even though I had signed a waiver to avoid it, on dilating my eyes. After dilating my eyes, I went back to the waiting room where the Dr made me wait ANOTHER hour to check my eyes. All in all, spent 2.5 hrs here where usually I can get in and out of an optometrist in half an hour.

Disappointing visit - initially scheduled ONLY a contact exam after getting a full exam a few months ago, and then was given a full exam again without my knowledge or permission (and I didnt realize it until it was too late). At checkout I was forced to pay extra for something that I did not ask for and did not even need. For a place that sees many students in the area (that are on tight budgets), over-charging is unprofessional and unacceptable. The doctor was nice enough otherwise, but I will not be going back.

An excellent experience!!! I highly recommend Dr. Newman and his staff to anyone in need of basic eyesore. His office was comfortable and conveniently located. His staff was friendly and courteous and he took great efforts to run on time. Plus, his eyewear selection was very good. I have gotten both glasses and contacts from his office and will continue to do so in the future.

The staff at Optix are a level above when it comes to customer service and friendliness. Dr. Newman doesnt hesitate to answer what are probably mundane questions from me about my eyes and the care that they should be receiving. They have a large, but not exhaustive selection of designer frames at competitive prices. See what they can do for you.

Went in on December 30th, 2017 to get some new eyeglasses to claim for the year for insurance purposes. We did wait until the last minute, but one of the staff members (April) was incredibly patient and very helpful. They also had quite a selection of frames available for purchase. Will visit again!!!

I have been going to Dr. Newman since he was at South Square in the late 80s, I think, and have received the best eye care one could hope for. He is thorough in his examinations and has a real concern for the patient. I dont feel like a patient when I have an appointment; I feel like a friend.

When I first moved to the area, I needed an eye doctor and found Optix online. I would never go anywhere else. Everyone in my family wears glasses, so we are there quite often. Dr. Newman is extremely thorough and very professional. Just an overall great place for eye care!

Dr. Newman and the Optix Eyecare staff are wonderful! Dr. Newman is very careful and through - much better than the many other eye doctors I have seen. Both my husband and I appreciate his attention to detail, friendly office, and nice selection of eyewear.

Dr. Newman is the best, and his staff is attentive, thorough, and on the ball. This store always has a great selection of cool-looking frames. I get lots of compliments on my glasses. I wouldnt buy them anywhere else.

This place is way too expensive, and the final lenses were of sub-par quality. After just one day, I noticed that my glasses had a very visible film in the lens. Will not shop from again.
