TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service!!! As a Georgetown Alum and human with feelings it is appalling the lack of customer service/cultural competency that exists at this location. I would expect that in such a diverse city employees wouldnt be so prejudice and lackluster about selling "high end" glasses to any customer that walks through the door. I have visited this location on 4 different locations and only once was I helped. On one occasion I stood around for 15 minutes being watched before I had to ask to be helped. Other customers came in after me who just happened to NOT look like me were immediately attended to. I was snarled at by an employee while opening the door because a puppy that was roaming through the shop ran out into the street. His exact words were, "Why cant you keep the door closed?" before rolling his eyes and walking away. Im not sure how he expected to me to enter the store. On another occasion I walked in with a pair a frames that I had purchased from this particular store. I needed them to be fixed. I was promptly told, "We dont fix glasses here." I laughed. She had assumed that I hadnt purchased the frames there and after telling her to look my name up in the system she was then able to miraculously fix my glasses. Yes, I always need glasses. However, I will never ever shop here again. I will spread this news that my business, money and patronage is not wanted by people who would closely resemble me.

I arrived yesterday from South Africa and realized my prescription glasses had been damaged in the overhead locker. I called Georgetown Optician to inquire if it would be possible for them to assist me. They told me telephonically that I would need to come in for them to see if they could assist. On arrival, I was greeted by a friendly and helpful gentleman who assured me that they would do the best they could to help a foreign visitor. I came back after 30 minutes and they had straightened the frame and replaced the lens free of charge. What a wonderful experience and I need to commend the staff for excellent service. What a great welcome to America. Thank you.

Ive been going to Georgetown opticians for many years and have always had a great experience and received perfect glasses. Dr. Matini does an outstanding job with his refractions and always gets my prescription just right. Customer service is impeccable. If you want cheap glasses that dont fit properly or have inaccurate prescriptions, there are plenty of low cost places. I have to disagree with the folks that did not give a good review, Georgetown Opticians is top notch.

Ive been going to Dr. Matini and Georgetown Opticians for 20 years. They are great. Im not sure what the bad reviews are about -- Ive never had a bad experience in some two decades. The frame selection is great, they have cool stuff, and the staff give great advice when choosing. Dr. Matini is excellent and highly informative.

Charlatan, this guy rips you off. What ever eye problems you have or stigmatism of your eyes this store will try and push glasses on you. The fact that you dont need glasses does not matter, they still and prescribe the most expensive glasses to you. Go somewhere else and get a better prescription without a biased seller.

Came in a Wednesday morning with my bent frames. They cheerfully mended my frames, complimented their style, and answered some questions I had about my prescription. Great service in a well-designed, easily accessed space. Ill be back again if and when the need arises.

I have gone to Georgetwon opticians often in the past 15 years when coming to DC. The service has always been impeccable. The choice of eyewear is amazing. The quality of the work done in this boutique is quite on point.. 5 stars for the love you get there !!

They can careless if spend thousands of dollars on your glasses with them. They have zero customer focus and its company policy. No warranties, no fixing anything and no insurance accepted! I would advise a friend try this place as a last option only!

I have been seeing Dr. Matini for years now and hes great! Really helped with some eye irritation and his annual exams are quick but thorough. The store/office is clean and inviting, they have a great selection of frames, and the staff are helpful.

I have been going to Georgetown Optician since 1998 for my eye exams I would not go anywhere else. They have always treated me like a King. It is a family owned business who knows high end eye wear very well.

The OD here is a genuinely nice and helpful person, the salespeople were pretty awesome, and the turnaround on purchasing glasses was crazy quick (overnight, after telling me itd be 3-4 days).
