One star. Great selection, location, and crowd. But the people behind the counter make my skin crawl. The young guy who works the store at night is cold and elitist. And the owner, Chris, is despicable and untrustworthy. Never spend your money at a store that doesnt price tag their products. Dont get me me wrong: most products are clearly priced. Buy there are a few items in the counter that are not. More specifically, Chris doesnt price tag the hand-made life counters, which were crafted by a local artist and friend of mine. When given to Chris on consignment at an agreed-upon price, he then sold them at a few dollars higher and pocketed the difference. After being confronted, Chris, caught in a lie, began a bit of a smear campaign against my friend, even going so far as to visit my friends workplace in order to berate him to his boss. This guy is a snake and a thief. If youre okay supporting his business, go right ahead. But know that there are several businesses in the area far more deserved of your dollar, New Realm, Scotts Collectibles, and Parker Banner, to name a few. I promise you, youre better off shopping elsewhere.

I went in to look for a specific set of games. I found the same games on other gaming places websites for 3.99 for the 1st game and 9.99 for the second. After shipping and tax the total was 20.87. I came here hoping to find it cheaper as this place has almost everything. I found both games. The 1st was 9.99 and the second was 17.99. I felt it was a bit of a rip off. I understand this place sets prices based on what they pay, but they way over paid if thats the cost they were setting. I was really disappointed. Decided to look around and compare other games with online prices.... almost everything online was MUCH cheaper. I understand these guys have to make money to cover associate pay and rent but their prices are outrageous. Will not be going back. And thats a real shame to me. Prices charged for consoles are great though! If you need a console go here! If you need games.... go elsewhere.

For those also confused as to them being closed Went back in June 2017 and they said they would be going through some remodeling soon. Early July 2017 I went and they had everything in boxes, the owner apologized and said they had just come back from a convention (this was a coverup) They were bought out by Video Game World in Huntersville around July and as of my typing this sounds like they have no plans to reopen the Concord Mills store. Its a shame because now we have no used game stores here besides Gamestops and the one in the outskirts of Charlotte. Shame because they had a decent selection, yeah they were a tad overpriced but when youre a mom and pop store you have to make something. So instead of reopening the Concord Mills store Video Game World will be opening a new location in Salisbury soon.

Ive been coming here almost every week for about 6 months now. The owner(Chris) is very welcoming and helpful with inquiries and random questions. The atmosphere is great if you want to participate in any of the various community games or tournys that Play It Again Games hosts(I play DND every Wednesday). Prices on games and consoles are very competitive, and trade in value is consistently better than what I would get offered at other stores to the point that I dont even bother anymore and just take what I need to sell straight here.

This place is amazing. Not only did they have vintage video games for all my vintage consoles, they had the new 3DS and some ps4 games as well. I had gone to Radio shack looking for the cables for a Nintendo 64 a friend gave me. Radio shack knew nothing about the consoles and couldnt help me. and when I asked the guys at game stop they laughed at me. These guys had the exact cables I needed as well as games from almost every platform. These guys are my new go-to for buying video games.

Theyre always closed. This is the third time Ive checked (this time at 4pm on a Friday) and theres a sign on the door saying theyre open at 6pm (great except I wont be able to come back). Last time the open light was on (on a Saturday) but they were doing construction or something and no one was in there. Again, this is at a normal hour.. like 2pm. I guess call them before you go out of your way since it seems theyre closed every time I go there. I think Im done even bothering.

Excellent gaming store for both video games old and new along with a HUGE selection of tabletop games. Chris, the owner, has been very welcoming to us when we asked if we could play X-wing here. He is also helping us to get a Destiny league going as well. If youre looking for a fun place to come buy some old stuff, new stuff or just hang out and play some games.. I highly recommend Play it Again. Support your local small businesses!

The selection of stuff to look for is there, but the price on them is not worth it most of the time. The owner comes off as an arrogant collector (like the comic book guy from The Simpsons), and as someone else mentioned, he blatantly stares down when all a person is doing is browsing. Better alternative is Video Game World in Huntersville, much friendlier and welcoming place.

Store was great, the owner is very knowledgeable about everything he has in the store, I was there for their first Magic the Gathering Booster Draft and had a good time. Not hard to fine and they have some pretty cool and nerdy things in there that I havent seen in a while. If you want good games at a good price I would recommend stopping by the store and checking it out.

Great gaming store. Very diverse with stock. They carry video games (new, used, retro to current), board games, card games, arcade and pinball, and much more. With the enthusiasm of the staff and different areas of interest, this store has a lot of potential to be a gaming haven. Will definitely continue to shop here.

Good selection but high prices. The store is mainly a safe haven for people with bad B.O. and who enjoy Magic The Gathering, congregating in the back room. Good luck with that. 08/03/17 Just got word you guys went out of business. How did those high prices work out for you?

They have an awesome selection of both new and retro games. They owner seemed very passionate about games and had an extensive knowledge of everything he was selling. I would recommend this store for any of your video or board game needs. These guys are awesome!

Well, I dropped my sons DS off to be repaired. The guy that repairs is kinda never there. I called constantly and could never get him on the phone. After about two weeks, it couldnt be fixed. There was no solution. It was a waste of time.

DONT LISTEN TO NEGATIVE REVIEWERS! I got my sister The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time here for only $30! You cant get it for that cheap anywhere else. And it didnt come with Master Quest. Which is something she didnt want anyhow.

This is an excellent video game store. They have both current and vintage video games with a large selection of board games. They also have paint and supplies for the more hardcore role players for games with mini figurines.
