I purchased an Otterbox Defender series case with my iPhone4. Verizon charges $49 for this case. Amazon charges $17 for this case (with s/h). When the clip for the case broke recently I assumed that if I went to the store theyd take care of the problem since they charge what is, if Im honest, a highway-robbery price and Im a post-paid contract customer. Instead, the first employee I encountered took a case off the shelf and proceeded to write down the 800 number off the back of the box on a stickie note and told me if I called they might replace it. That employee then passed me off to another employee (the store manager) who stood at his computer terminal typing into it what I assume was the full text of War and Peace before taking out a stickie note and writing down... wait for it... an 800 number for me to call. I bickered with the store manager for a few minutes and he offered to sell me a new Otterbox case for 35% off their price of $49. Thats an insult to my intelligence at best and a downright scam at worst. Whats the moral of the story here? Being a post-paid contract customer gets you no better customer service from Verizon than any random person who walks in off the street. Their accessories are a rip-off and they provide ZERO customer service to go with their inflated prices. On my drive home I called Verizons 611 number and the first rep I talked to patiently listened to my tale of woe, offered to credit my account $20 so I could purchase a new case for $17 and apologized for the inconvenience. While its not the outcome one would have hoped for, its a damn sight better than the display of feckless incompetency put on by Verizons store employees. A big congrats to Verizon for giving me a reason to switch carriers after 10 years of loyalty.

We will not be going back to this store. We came to this store because my fiancees company worked with a guy here. Well we were there to switch to a new plan from my old one and her company one. We ended up having to pay a lot more than we initially thought and we both ended up buying new phones. That whole part was stressful, but hey these contracts are always a mess. that part is less the store;s fault than Verizons. The main reason we will not be going back is what happened after that. The sales person assisting me Karima really pressured me to get a glass Zagg screen protector. I went back and forth with her explaining that I do not like those covers because they are so apt to break and do not provde glare control. Well she really pushed me and finally said that they would be willing to do a full return within 14 days if I was not satisfied. So I gave it a shot. Of course, when I came back because I didnt like the screen protector, Karima told her manager that she forgot ever having that conversations. What is more, both the manager and another sales person were completely rude to me about the whole thing. I left the place feeling like Karima had just pushed me so she could get a sale and then the management treated me like garbage because she did not tell me the truth. Michael the manager ought to have done something to fix this, but all he would do was offer an exchange for another one, or for other accessories I didnt need. The whole thing could have been at least chalked up to a misunderstanding or lack of training, but the combination of Karima "forgetting" and the manager and other salesperson being so rude just demonstrates a fundamental disregard for good customer service. It ought to be better. We will never return to this store

I see bad reviews on here & Im not sure what happened then. Maybe they changed management. Idk. All I know is that "Travis" is one of the best customer service ppl we have come in contact with. My sister & I needed a phone for my niece who is a serial texter. He didnt try to up-sale us, was extremely helpful from beginning to end. He did not make my sister wait long at all. He did all the programming, fixed her billing which was a bit of a mess - long story, explained how the phone worked, etc. He seems to be a generally nice person, not fake like a lot of customer reps. She tried to do biz w/ the Verizon store closer to her home in the White Hall area. "Eddie" couldnt have cared less. My sis was SO happy to meet Travis which counteracted the bad experience at Eddies store. Shes happy, Im happy & my niece is over the moon. Whoever is Traviss mgr should give him a bonus or raise. Its ppl like him that keep ur customers coming back & they tell their friends. A bad experience & ppl dont go back & they tell their friends. Most ppl read these reviews also. I think ppl should report good customer service as well as the bad. Thanks, Loyal Customers & Ones That Will Pass The News On

Everytime I have stopped at this store it has been a bad experience. I returned some equipment to this store and the associate that took it forgot to credit it to my account. I usually am very deligent about keeping my receipts but I lost this one. Talk about bad timing, I have a stack of Verizon receipts filed at home that I will never need but lost the one that could have saved me $200.00+. Long story short, I ended up paying for $200.00+ of equipment I had returned. The worst thing is it was the manager that took the equipment back. He was busy talking on his Verizon cell to his girlfriend while he was waiting on me and that is why he neglected to credit my account in the system. It is the same type of service everytime I go there. The employees act like they are doing you a favor to wait on you. Even though its the closest store to my house, I drive out of my way to keep from going to this store now. In my opinion, the Mooresville Store on River Road is the best service store to go to.

The salespeople were okay but the service counter is a vortex into the dark side. Avoid this store at all cost. They will ruin your day with their rudeness. Ive been in there twice with phone issues and both times they customer service employees seemed to have made up their minds that there was nothing they could do to help me before I ever got to the service desk. I could feel all the positive energy in the store evaporating as I was forced to argue with the service people why they should help me with their faulty phones or at least tell me what to do instead of scowling at me and trying to avoid me like I was an infectious disease. I have never been so displeased with a store in my life. I think the managers have tried to make the store better because I have been back and the salespeople are nice though distracted but the service people are so evil and awful I do not ever recommend going there - EVER. Stay away. They will ruin your day and perhaps your outlook on humanity for a while.

Ive shopped here off and on for several years. Its a hit or miss proposition - probably like a lot of large retail companies. I stopped in on 2/20/2014 to take a look at the brand new Nokia Lumia Icon, which was introduced for sale that day. The sales rep who was assigned to me didnt really know what it was. She went into the back of the store to get one because they didnt have a floor display model set up. She came out with a dummy phone, not a working phone. I was told that they dont always set up working display models right away for less popular phones. Then she offered to let me see the Nokia Lumia 928, because "its basically the same thing," which couldnt be further from the truth. As a techie, that kind of cavalier attitude and lack of product knowledge bothers me. Verizons cell coverage and network is fantastic, but their employees and stores are middle of the road, depending on what day it is.
