I have used cell phones for less on two occasions. One turned out well and the other was a complete disaster. Ill start with the good news. My son broke the screen on his cell phone and we took it to cell phones for less to have it replaced, which it was, and everything was fine. About 2 months later my daughter accidentally broke the screen on one of our I pads. Since I had a good experience with cell phones for less the first time, I decided to take the I pad there as well. It was a $100 repair. I picked the I pad up the next day and we brought it home. From the moment we brought it home, it didnt work properly. When you tried to open an app the screen would not respond or it would open an app that was not the one you had pressed on. After several attempts to make it work we put it aside and decided we would have to return it to Cell Phones for Less as it was under "warranty" for 30 days. I called the next day and explained the situation and they said to bring it in. When I brought it in, I showed the employee the issue and she pointed out a hairline crack in the screen which I hadnt even noticed. I explained that the crack must have been there when we brought it home as it never worked with the new screen. She informed me that it was a physical defect and because it was under "warranty" she would only charge me $80 to fix it this time. I explained that we hadnt been able to get it to work from the moment we brought it home so the crack must have been in there when brought it home. She insisted that someone broke it and it would cost another $80 to fix it. Needless to say I walked out with $100 down the drain and a still broken I pad. Im still not quite sure what the "warranty" covers. I would not recommend go here as they do not honor the so called warranty.

I brought my phone to the Syracuse location for broken glass. I waited and they had it done in about an hour. When I got home and tried to take a picture I was surprised to find they had broken the rear facing camera. I took it back, they changed out the camera and I went home again. When I went to take a close up picture I realized the new, much lower quality camera did not focus. I called and was told to bring it in first thing the next day. When I did I was told they would need my phone for 5 hours to get it fixed and they couldnt bump me up the list and they didnt make appointments. Well I needed my phone that days so I kept it over the weekend and during that time found out that my home button now rotated and when I picked up calls the screen would not go dark so I was pressing buttons with my face. When I brought it back the next week I waited over an hour while they worked on it and when they said it was done I checked the camera that still did not focus. They then said they would need to keep it for another four hours. When I came back the home button was still broken and the screen still does not dim when I pickup calls. It is not worth taking anything there if they are going to cause three times the damage they were asked to repair and waste that much of my time.

Save your money and dont come here. Absolutely awful. I came to get a phone screen replaced last night. By the time I got home I realized they gave me a broken one, went back the next day and thankfully they agreed to fix it for free. The lady at the counter gave me an attitude when I refused to give them my phone passcode (obviously I dont want strangers having access to my work information, paypal, etc). She finally agreed it was fine that I didnt provide it and told me to come back in two hours to pick up my phone. Came back to pick up my phone and it looked fine, I went home and realized they gave me ANOTHER faulty screen (touch screen barely works and led flaws all across the screen) and once I took off my phone case I realized the back of my phone was all smashed up around the camera (wasnt when I dropped it off). I am fuming angry!!! Two broken screens and you break the back of my phone too!?!?! Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont give this place your money unless you enjoy being screwed over. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else.

Overall my experience with Cell For Less was 9/10. I went to there James st. location in Syracuse Ny, with my Ipod 4th gen touch and the whole screen was cracked. The Sales Associates were polite and helpful and the service was prompt and reasonable. I would recommend Them to anyone that needs service to there Ipod or Cell Phone. Upon arriving I noticed that it was on street parking and its kind of a busy intersection, I did not see a parking lot. The interior and exterior of the store were bright and easily noticed from the road. Cell for less had a wide variety of phones and other devices and accesories to choose from but the store is a little small and everything was Packed tightly together in glass cases and not individually labeled. but they seemed to have a lot of quality products in New/Good condition. Overall 9/10 rating and a big thank you for there service on my Ipod!!! I would reccomend them to a friend.

My fiancee broke the glass over the screen on her HTC Droid Incredible a few weeks ago. We called HTC directly and Verizon but were not happy with the fact that both companies redirected us to third parties that involved shipping her phone, away with no guarantee on the actual cost of the repair, (We were quoted $140 or more depending on the "damage" when the tech looked at it). We found this place on Google and figured we would give them a call. They fixed it for $75.00 and quoted us 2hrs. They finished it in about an hour and a half and called to let us know it was done. Looked good as new on pickup. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a repair. They also sell used phone if yours is kaput. The staff was also very friendly and wiling to commit to a price upfront which was a major concern for us. An easy 5 stars! Thanks again guys!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I dropped my phone in the toilet.. I tried the "rice remedy" overnight.. and the next day it still would not turn on. Called my cell carrier (AT&T) and after being a customer of theirs for 10 years they refused to help me in any way because I didnt have insurance on the phone. In fact they wanted me to buy a brand new one for $400. I remembered the commercial for "cell phone for less".. so figured what have I got to lose! Took it in, the guys are very nice and within a few hours my phone was completely fixed!! Well, so I thought... an hour later I realized the mic wasnt working still.. so I took it back next day.. they fixed at no extra cost and my phone is good as new! What At&t wanted $400 for... they did for $50! They are amazing! Go to them for ANY cell needs!!!
