What can I say about comic book jones that has not already been said, the staff is great, helpful and knowledgeable. The staff goes above and beyond to satisfy their customers, they have great guest come in for signings and if you need help finding something they will help! and if they dont have it they will order it for you! They know their customers well, as i was at comic con this year in new york and baby face jones came up to me said hi and asked me how i am enjoying the convention.If you are in the area this is the shop to go to, if you are a new reader to comics this is the shop to go to as well. They dont act like snobbs and will welcome you life family. I cant say enough about how great this place is. P.S they let you drink coffee and read comics in the store!

BEST COMIC STORE EVER!!! The staff is so friendly and helpful they will talk to you and great you happily every time you enter. Great selection of books, figures, statues. They dont overcharge anything always cover price or less. Great sales every week, #1 issues are always discounted plus they have a great rewards program. On the website you can create a pull list and they will hold stuff for you behind the counter so you are basically guaranteed to get everything you want. The have signings regularly including some pretty famous people such as Dan Slott and Cullen Bunn. All signings are free and you can bring as much as you want! Best store ever!

Theyre my one and only shoppe for comics and related goods! Socko, Tiger, Babyface, and Waffle are the dream team. They have never been pushy or rude. They cater to all ages and walks of life and always have a friendly and/or funny thing or two to say. Decor is hands down the coolest and the atmosphere is super relaxed. They even have a great rewards system and sales! I appreciate that they have signings and are knowledgeable about everything and make great recommendations based on my tastes. Excellent shop. This is not my usual comic book shop as I usually go to New Dorp Ln. Super friendly and knowledgable staff with great selection of books, graphic novels, toys, etc. Its a chill store. I really enjoy just hanging out and browsing. Its the kind of place where you end up buying books you werent planning on picking up because you might chat with one of the clerks and theyll give you some good recommendations. Highly recommended. I just wish I had more reasons for going to Forest ave.

It was ok. Not the best on the island. Didnt like the fact I spent 50.00 in new books and had to pay for bags and boards for them. Shouldve been included when I purchased the books. Alittle hard to move around. Not the easiest store to navigate. Not alot of past issues or older books like another store on the island. Didnt see one variant cover but seen a post on fb where someone bought a few online from here. Guess they keep them.for online sales. Maybe they were out when I was there...

A great neighborhood resource. As bookstores slowly disappear or transform into coffee shops, this is a still a great place to browse. When bookstores go the way of the records store, well have lost another great resource for meditative introspection. Words is more, though. Theyve done a great job getting authors in to speak and sign books. It feels like a cultural hub. Id love to see them hook up with a place like the Writers Circle and really embrace that role.

Ive been a loyal customer since I realized that I knew the owner. Hes one of the friendliest store owners youll ever know and he, along with his staff are some of THE most knowledgeable and dedicated comic enthusiasts Ive ever known and Ive been going to comic shops for more than 25 years. I no longer live anywhere near that part of town, but when I come around its one of the only places Ill still visit. Viva Socko!

NIce store, too bad its in the middle of nowhere S.I.Not easy to get to unless you have a car.Inside was large and neat. Lots of comics on the walls. They have a thing where for back issues the discount is determined by a roll of a 10 sided dice!I would rate this place higher except it took over 2 hours for me to get there by public transit.

Great selection, signings, sales, after-hours movie tail-gate events, rewards program, Friday night Magic (MTG), updated website, facebook updates and most importantly for me Knowledgeable Staff. Fun and friendly atmosphere. I have had nothing but great things to say about this place. My all-time most favorite comic book shop, ever.
