!!!!!DO NOT PAY FOR THE "PRIORITY MAIL"!!!!! I can not stress that enough. I purchased something, paid the $9 almost $10 extra dollars for 2-3 day shipping, I mean it was only like a $1 more than standard. I didnt receive any kind of shipping notifications so I had to contact them 2 days later when I thought that my item would arrive, they got back to me super fast, which I was so happy about, but they assured me my item would be sent out on the Monday August 19th. Monday comes along and I receive a shipping notification saying the post office is going to receive my item soon. It never updated until today August 23rd saying that it was on its way to me and that itll be in by August 26th which is about 2 weeks after I ordered it. I think this store needs to reevaluate the meaning of 2-3 day shipping. I understand they may go to the post office once a week, but you have to let your customers know that. This was a present that I had to let the person know about out of concern of what happened to the product. I will not order here again and I assure theyre pleased!

Found the staff friendly and very knowledgeable. They always seem to stock a good selection of current issues and I have even been able to find a few sold out back issue prints from time to time hiding at the back of the rack at cover price. As for back issues, they have a fairly extensive selection at a fair price. I say fair because thats what they are, all priced at current market value. I feel like this needs to be mentioned because Ive seen others unfairly complain about the prices. But honestly, Im not aware of another LCS in the area where I can sort through thousands of back issues with the help of someone who knows more about comics that I do AT A DISCOUNT. All in all, Conquest Comics is a great LCS and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a place to buy their comics, MTG, or other collectibles.

If you are looking to buy collectibles, this place is definitely for you. They have extensive collection of standard and exclusive action figures, Pop Funkos, statues and many other items. In terms of comics they have many classic and original copies, back issues, graded CGC and new issues available. The graphic novel section is well organized and seemingly always up to date and in stock (Most comic shops seem to be missing volumes from a collection) and if they are missing anything in the store they offer to order it for you. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable as well. As a collector and reader, this is easily my favorite comic book store in NJ.

Chris and Pete are standup guys bent on making your experience with them as easy and personable as possible. Comics are going through a renaissance right now and there seem to be new readers everyday, which is seemingly great for publishers but a mixed bag for small retailers as you can get many popular titles digitally now. So more than ever it seems the brick and mortar stores will have to live and die by creating a friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable atmosphere in order to "keep on truckin", and the fellas over at Conquest have pretty much set the benchmark for that in the ocean county area.

subpar excellence

i was offered $20. i came in with 200 books. to be fair many were well worn but some are in very fine condition. wolverine 1 was sealed as soon as i bought it. i also had a VG amazing 298, a F/G X Men 213, a well worn and slightly torn amazing 238, and well worn copies of avengers annuals 3 and 10. there were other books of note such as a F hellblazer 1 and NM hellblazer 2. and he offered me gas money! on the plus side he was friendly. maybe my expectations are out of touch but i was taken back. if i have any other collectibles i wont be going back there to sell them.

I have only been here once because I live about an hour away so the only time I went was on Free Comic Book Day. The staff seemed very friendly and the place is fantastic for action figure lovers! They have a huge selection of figures and statues as well as comics. They were having a good sale for FCBD and had the exclusive Iron Fist Pop. They also have 2 exclusive pops of their own that they were selling for a discounted price which was really awesome! Hope they do a Black Friday sale because I will surely make the trip down for it.

Ive lived in Toms River for a few years now and have passed by Conquest Comics a few times, but never had the time to go in. What a disservice I have done to myself! CC is, by far, one of the best, most extensive, and awe inspiring comic shops that I have ever been to. I could have spent hours browsing their collections of comics, figures, and statues, but I wanted to leave some exploring for all the other times I will be back! Friendly staff, and a wonderful shopping experience. Cant wait to return!

Great store, great selection and very friendly service. Went in on a Wednesday, they seemed very busy but took the time to help me out and explain a few things. Prices seemed very fair and for a couple hard to find books I was looking for was very reasonable. Cant complain. Will def be back!

This place is AMAZING! They have everything from Lego minifigures to huge statues, as well as books, comics, vinyl figures, arcade games... and the owner is very nice to talk to and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. My kids (ages 4 and 6) beg me to take them here.

This is a comic nirvana lives up to your expectations lots of comic swag, in addition to a ton of awesome comics! Helpful staff and the store has a large variety of FUNKO Pops vinyls, comic books, graphic novels, comic book back issues, toys and cool comic statues.

One of the few stores where the counters guy dont breathe down your neck if you want to read book before you decide to buy it. Love the atmosphere and selections and the guys that work there are insanely helpful. Favorite comic book store by far

Very good guys. They know what they are talking about in terms of stock and items coming out. I love the location and they always have what I am looking for. This is my "GO TO" place for comics and such. They treat you right!

Easily the best comic shop in the county. They carry tons of series, a great selection of graphic novels and omnibuses and an absolutely huge selection of Funko Pops. The guys running it are nice as can be and very helpful.
