My son is "trying" hockey for the first time, and my husband and I have no idea what we are doing! We went to Locker Room Sports after being referred by a couple of friends. The staff was AWESOME - spent well over an hour with us getting the right equipment and showing us how to put it on. Most of us would expect this, but I was impressed that we received this level of service given that the first words out of my mouth were, "I want to get what we need with the least amount out of pocket!" They were very helpful, finding great used skates and packaging some products together to get a discount. I definitely did not feel like they tried to oversell me on anything. They were very patient with my over-excited son, and let him watch as they cut his stick, they let him pick out his own tape design, and even went to find stock in a matching design for his blade covers. Being in the sales industry, I also noticed that MOST customers who came through the door were greeted by name, and appreared to be frequent customers. I would highly recommend for youth hockey equipment - and I will definitely return for any future hockey needs.

Some really great people run this store. I bought a pair of Vaughn Leg pads for a very reasonable price. What really sold me was their knowledge of the products. I went to another hockey store in the area and they tried selling me intermediate sized leg pads... Im in my mid 20s, so thats a problem hahaha. The guys at Locker Room Sports sized me, didnt hassle me, and were definitely concerned with what was good for me, not for them. My only wish is that they had a bigger store with more selection, as sometimes they simply run out of stuff.

I was new to the skating/hockey scene. I wasnt quite sure what equipment I needed or what size but the staff at LRS was awesome, professional and fitted me with the right equipment. I cannot recommend LRS enough. A locally-owned shop, great prices and excellent staff - whats not to love? The smaller shop at the Bill Grays Iceplex at MCC is the same - great staff and service.

Best customer service! Knowledgeable and friendly staff. My son needed a new goalie chest protector in a hurry. They had what he needed in stock and on sale. Perfect fit. Nothing better than walking out with Leg pads and glove/blocker verse ordering online and being afraid of wrong size. Thank you LR!
