The other one star comment is insane. Dalberths is the best! Real athletes sometimes need help finding the perfect fitting shoe... And yes that may require trying on a number of shoes and having them check the fit. This is a mom and pop store that has the most knowledgable guy and I have trusted over the years for xc and track from hs to college. If you want to get the most for your $, come here. That other person should have went shoe shopping at the mall.

This place is simply full of equipment so it was a little daunting at first, but the sales associate knew exactly what I was looking for and quickly located it for me. They were attentive and made sure it was a perfect fit. Price-wise I paid $15 less at Jim Dalberths than I had at a chain sports store. The hours are a little limited during summer but the service quality and price is worth planning ahead for.

Store is a mess. Boxes everywhere so there is no place to sit and try shoes (unless you are the only client in, see next). No service for the first 15 minutes there. This client was trying every single shoe in the store without any consideration of us. Does the owner really need to tie your shoes? I think that is too much. Disappointing...

Dalberths is the only place I go for running shoes for myself and my two athlete children. Their packages for student athletes are an incredible value. Yes, the store is cramped, but it has everything a runner needs. They even let you run outside to try out shoes. They support the local running community; buy local!

These guys are great. Very knowledgeable and will help you with every aspect of choosing a shoe. Definitely not for those looking to run in and grab stuff, but if you want someone to help you pick out a reliable pair of running shoes, this is definitely the place.
