Bill at Boss auto was SUPER nice and professional. The office was VERY clean and well appointed. We learned the a bit about his business - hes been in business for 50 years! -and we were able to test drive the minivan we were interested in and even take it to our regular mechanic. Bill said the van went through a great inspection, that his son-in-law is a master mechanic, and mostly runs the business now. With the cleanness of the van, and the great review our mechnic gave it, I believe the van did go through a good process. It is a Honda Odyssey, and marked very fairly for its condition and the market! Plus, they offer a 1 year powertrain warranty of their own I think, included. But it was out of our price range, so we waited. For 6 weeks. Then the price dropped online, but there was a typo, and two different prices were listed. So I called to confirm price and discuss a labor intensive, routine repair that would need to be done: the timing belt (and its associated tensioner and water pump). We werent really interested in spending ~$1000 immediately after buying the van. Bill had told me that Ivan is a master mechanic, so I thought that maybe he would do the repair, and we would not haggle on price. This is what Pete from Petes Auto Sales on Ridge Road was willing to do for a Honda he was selling! Ivan gave me the run around on the phone, saying the repair was not needed yet, though if we do the repair, insisted we should get an original water pump because aftermarket ones leak in a year, that he wasnt a repair shop, and never actually confirming the price of the minivan with me. For a master mechnic with his own garage, I was confused and disheartened. I have owned Honda before, our regular mechnic was telling us this was a necessary routine replacement, and now have a Honda dealership mechanic confirming the same. Today, the website and craigslist ads have been corrected for price - to a higher one! I was pleased with Boss at first. But I am confused as to why the van has been there *so* long, why I got the runaround on the phone from Ivan, and why they wont budge on the price or just do the repair- they would cost him $300 plus time.

In looking for a car for my daughter i found a 2002 saturn at boss auto sales.. They let me test drive it and take to my mechanic and found nothing wrong about the car. We negotiated a good price and took it home that day. Being her first car i was very happy to find this car as it has been an excellent car for her in driving it back and forth to college... I highly recommend Boss Auto and will be back again..

We were impressed with the cleanliness of the mini van we bought from Boss Auto Sales. However, within 24 hours the battery died and we had to replace it. Ivan was rude on the phone and laughed at our request to reimburse the cost of the new battery. We will not use Boss Auto again and would not recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle there.

Good experience with Ivan and Ben - very friendly guys at Boss Auto. Helped me to a great extent in looking for the cars in my budget and also gave me a very good deal. After I finalised my purchase, I was also helped the the DMV forms, registration and mortgage.
