Truly deserves 5 stars. One of the only places in NYC that does. So many great home made specialty sausages and German and Eastern European charcuterie items. Must tries are the paprika head cheese. If you think you dont like head cheese, this will change your mind. The pimento and olive loaves and double smoked slab bacon are sublime. Try the TV sticks and hang them for 3 or 4 days before your eat all of them, they get better with age. The viennerwurst, bratwurst krainerwurst are New York treasures. Grab a bag of fresh house made sauerkraut and jar of Bauers Brooklyn mustard and you are in BBQ heaven. Superb hand cut chicken pork and beef too. Needless to say Morschers is destination shopping at its finest. Go.

This store feels like you have stepped back in time. Old time service and old time quality. It reminds me of the butcher shop that was around our block when I was growing up. We travel from Yonkers to get our Easter ham and Brats. Their quality and service cant be beat, One year we came out in two foot of snow, thats how good it is!

Havent been to a place like this in decades. My neighbor, god rest his soul, use to take me to a place like this when I was a child. It brought back great memories. Food that I havent had since and I must say I bought a sample of half of everything there. I was not disappointed. They have a new customer in me.
