The food here is delicious (and deserves 5 stars) but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The people who answer the phone are rude and make you feel like youre bothering them (very few exceptions). When the food arrives late (more than an hour after youve placed your order) they dont care. This has happened several times and no accommodation was ever made though I ordered from this establishment every single day. Today was the very last straw. The order was incorrect and I was incorrectly charged. When I called they told me that they delivered someone elses order, that I should keep it and they would send out the correct order. I thought this was a waste of food so I agreed to keep what was delivered (It was similar to what I ordered, but more than what I ordered) but I wanted the price adjusted to what I ordered. They refused and suddenly told me that it was my fault that the order was wrong - that I didnt know what I wanted. I told them that theyve just lost me as a customer. I work in a nearby school. I will be telling everyone I work with. They stand to lose a lot of business over what amounts to approximately $5.00. I stand on principle.

I have not been here in a while. You have to go to this Irish deli/butcher shop. The stuffed pork chops are out of this world. They are huge. Stuffed with assorted vegetables and cheese. If you can, put them on the bar b que. They are heavenly. The chops are extremely thick and juicy, you will not even be able to eat the delicious potato sides or the mac n cheese sides. The chicken and beef burgers are delicious. The portions are very large. I have never eaten the hero sandwiches, but the portion looks large. I would imagine that it would be delicious, as they make a lot of their own meats (ham, sausage). The sausage is delicious, although, I am not fond of blood pudding. They carry a large assortment of Cadbury products,. YUMMY. The prices are reasonable. The staff has always been helpful. Great food.

Whether you are here for raw, seasoned cuts of beef or the Irish groceries, Butcher Block has high quality service and just the right amount of selection. Hate a massive menu? Well, the pre-made food menu changes daily. From beef stew to fish and chips, you cant go wrong here and you can actually leave without giving them more than $10 (imagine that!). On a more serious note, I have had lots of success with the uncooked meat here, especially thanks to the guidance of the knowledgeable staff. I will continue coming back here for as long as I possibly can.

Reliable local staple. Kind of a dudes place. Hungry? Walk in, select excellent cooked food at the catered counter, bring it home. All kinds of meats and sides. Also groceries your wife asked you to buy. Its also the best candy store in Sunnyside. Large variety UK and German quality imports which you cant get anywhere else. Great catering service for moderate prices on top of it. Just had a 20 people tray delivered for $60. Everybody happy.

This is one of the best shops around! The food is wonderful and the prices are excellent! Considering they import all the foods to the U.S., the prices are incredibly reasonable, given exchange rate and import costs. Much cheaper than some of the British shops in Manhattan (much as I love the latter too, they are far more expensive than this little gem of a shop in Queens!)

Amazing place, brilliant selection of Irish & English food, amazing raw meat & fish, and incredible sandwiches [weve just had the coffee brisket and crab cake on heroes] big portions and very tasty!!!! Planning the next visit already. Well worth the trip from Manhattan.

Fantastic grocery. All the IRISH products from home I could have wished to find in the States. Grande IRISH puddings, sauces, and sweets and even Brennans bread. Definitely a must see for all IRISH living in NY. Just a bit of good IRISH craic. IRISH. Just to be clear...

This place lays on the Irish- and English- products on so thick that even a born-and-bred New Yorker feels that fake tug of homesickness for the North Sea Isles. Surprisingly good selection of hot foods and sandwiches and excellent selection of European junk foods.

Love love love this place, food, people and variety was just excellent and very reasonable prices for what you get. Best Irish breakfast roll Ive had since moving to the US 2 years ago :-) . Was so happy I found it, worth driving through downtown Manhattan for it!

A full breadth of Irish groceries (though if they can get more imported butter, that would be amazing!) and a world class deli. Macaroni and Cheese is bloody delicious, as are the battered fish and dont get me started on those sausage rolls. Absolutely divine.

Excellent butcher shop and market; but their prepared food really hits the spot. I have dreams about the chicken pot pies. They also carry nearly every flavor of potato chip thats made. The sandwiches are huge -- great to split with someone for lunch.

They do their butchering on premises. Ive never gotten a bad cut there. Their fresh shepherds pie makes a great dinner. I also but their Irish Breakfast package. Its enough food for four people. I highly recommend the butcher block.

Talk about a rare gem. Not many butchers left here in New York. Huge Irish and British selection available for those missing home. Hot food offered daily bangers and mash, shepherds pie. You wont be disappointed, great sandwiches.

This is an awesome little grocery store that caters to the local Irish population. Tons of my favorite Kerrygold butters and cheese, which are from grass-fed cattle in Ireland! Best known for British candy, crisps, and soda bread.

Right at the top of the list of things I miss about Sunnyside. Excellent deli with prices cheaper than cooking. Wonderful European candy selection. Kind service. If you live in Sunnyside you should be shopping here.

From the outside this place looks like a normal deli and bodega. But their sandwiches are amazing. They do homemade roast beef sandwiches that are incredible. Juicy, tender, and flavorful. Ill be back.
