Brought my brand new tri bike in to get assembled, and when I got it back, the fork was loose and the brake cables were routed OUTSIDE the tri bars, and sticking way up in the front. These were just the obvious issues. When I called to discuss this, I was told it was assembed by their "top guys" and that I was just being a complainer. Great customer service, Doug. Brought it to another shop and they cringed at the poor assembly. Turns out the fork was improperly assembled, not to mention a serious safety issue. Dont waste your hard-earned money here. Go to a bike shop that has an experienced mechanic and a manager who cares about more than just getting as many bikes as possible out the door.

I went looking for my first road bike and I went to Bikeway in Mahopac. They are very helpful and have a great selection of road bikes, mountain bikes, hybrids and kids bikes. I was able to test ride a few and compare. They made some adjustments and I took it home and rode it later that day. I would reccomend this shop to anyone, they also offer free service on bikes purchased at the store so I am sure Ill be back some time for an adjustment. They are right across from the bike path on route 6 so it is very convenient for me.

I spent almost $10,000 here since 2005 and am very happy. 1 Specialized hybrid, 1 Specialized kid bike, 1 Cervello TT, 1 Cervello road, 1 TACX Genius trainer, all the accessories one could muster. Nice guys, great service, good group events. Anonymous internet libel is this decades horror for small business and usually a cheapskates choice of weapon.

The emloyees are just fantastic. They will go above and beyond to help you out. I got my 62 year old mother back into cycling and they invested a HUGE amount of their time into rebuilding her confidence on the bike before the purchase. You cant go wrong here. They are the best.
