I never have received such poor customer service at a jewelry store ever in my life and I go into jewelry stores quite a bit. I went in to get my wedding band engraved and the salesperson told me to come back in 30 minutes because they couldnt tell me whether an engraving could be done or not after taking down all my information. I came back thirty minutes later, and the salesperson I had worked with was with another customer, he didnt even acknowledge my presence or asked me to wait, nothing. Finally after waiting quite awhile almost 15 to 20 minutes waiting for him to even acknowledge my presence. I went to the jewelry repair counter, there a very rude salesperson asked me, why I was waiting there,wait in the middle so another salesperson could help even though this salesperson was doing absolutely NOTHING and just preferred to stand at the counter being rude to customers instead of working. The rude salesperson on top of the negligent one almost sent me over the edge. I went back to the original salesperson I worked with and he told me just a minute and then I couldnt believe my eyes he solicited a second customer completely ignoring me, even after he saw I waited so long. He finally apologized after another salesman who looked like his boss came over, but at that point I was too upset to even respond. I could not accept his apology. Clearly this salesperson cared only about commission and could care less about a $20 service. Finally, the only salesman who looked liked the boss, saw how I was being neglected and finally helped me. Not to mention it was my birthday too and what was suppose to be an errand of dropping of my fiances wedding band before my birthday dinner ended up wasting a lot of time and energy, ruining my previous good mood. I am never ever stepping one toenail in there again and will tell everyone I know not to go there. The engraving itself was okay, but will suffice it is completely off center and not entirely level. At this point it will do but when I look at my fiances wedding band I get a little upset, bc for now it reminds me of my experience at Jareds.

ATTENTION PEOPLE!!! THIS PLACE SUCKS. It is the absolute worst. I went to get my girlfriend a nice anniversary gift. I bought a ring with the service plan. We went to get it resized and they said itd take 24 HOURS to have it resized but when I bought it, the salesman said it would only take AN HOUR OR TWO. What BS. So we go to pick it up at 5 the next day and the lady at the counter says they did not start it. We said that their service was ridiculous and she went back to the jewelry fixing area and came back. She told us if we wanted to wait 30 minutes, itd be ready. We then argued that they said itd be ready in 24 hours and they shouldnt make promises they cant keep. SO this lady then walks back to the back and says its ready. WHAT THE HELL? She was so confusing at we were getting very frustrated. Thats not even the worst part. So we get the ring back and theres a diamond in it that didnt look right. It looked squished in really far or something. Also, the metal prongs around it were also scratched and bent. We could clearly see this with our naked eyes. So we complain to some other lady who might actually know whats going on. She says that the diamond is SMALLER than the size its supposed to be. I dont know how they are running their store but its crazy. Also, the pins that held the diamond were like all bent and messed up. Honestly, this is a huge hassle and I regret ever walking into this god forsaken joke of a jewelry store. The lady that wrote the other review is right, every time I look at the ring now, it reminds me of my terrible experience at Jared. BUYERS BEWARE DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE LOOK AT THESE REVIEWS. I WISH I HAD SEEN THESE REVIEWS SOONER. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE!!

I am shocked at all the negative reviews of this store. I have been there many times and have never had a bad experience. The first time, I went with my daughter for a specific Pandora charm that they didnt have in the Pandora store. FYI--If you want a truly terrifying shopping experience, with rude salespeople who dont even let you look at the merchandise ("STAND BEHIND THE LINE! PLEASE!!!"), go to the Pandora store in the Smith Haven Mall. The salesperson at Jared was friendly and helpful, finding the charm we wanted, and chatting with us about other Pandora items, without seeming like she was being "high pressure" and trying to sell us something else. Most recently, my husband and I went to Jared to purchase a ring for our daughters high school graduation. Pia was extremely helpful, patiently showing us many rings based on our price range, and what we told her about our daughter. When we went back to have the ring sized, we were told it would be ready on a certain day and time....and it was! When we picked it up, Pia remembered us and was genuinely happy about how pleased my daughter was with the ring. I cant imagine a scenario where I would ever go to another jewelry store. We are definitely a Jared family!

I fell for it. This SCAM company published an offer of $25 off your purchase of $99 or more available to customers who give up their email address, name, phone, street address. They mail you a coupon code. The coupon code arrives with a laundry list of products for which the coupon is void. Now they have your information and you dont have a usable coupon since anything worth buying there is listed in the exclusions. Their offer says nothing about restrictions, no fine print, no asterisk, no nothing. It was a simple and fair exchange until they pull the old collect your info scam in exchange for nothing. If they are this dirty and unscrupulous BEFORE you become a customer I can only imagine how mistreated one would be AFTER becoming a customer. Think twice before doing business with companies that behave this way. "Customer service chat" says I can "opt out" of the lists Im now on. Well I wouldnt be on the lists but for this scam! I shouldnt have to opt out. I wouldnt have OPTED IN if I knew beforehand that their offer was a SCAM or anything worth buying was excluded from the coupon. I hope I save someone some money and aggravation before you enter these stores or shop online!

Worst customer service ever. The store in Garden City is managed much better, this store is a disaster. Completely understaffed. I bought two bracelets the next day one broke. I waited a few minutes and the employee goes to put the pendant, that broke, back the same way it was previously arranged. I told him absolutely not, as it took less than 24 hours to break in the first place. He tells me there may be a charge to solder the pendant on to the jump ring. I was fine with that, and they ended up waiving the fee. I left pretty happy. I come to pick up the bracelet at 4:00 on the dot, as instructed. I am left sitting there for 45 minutes. Finally an employee comes up to me and after a minute of them retrieving my bracelet I am on my way home. Today I went to return a different item and had to wait another 30 minutes for a two minute transaction. As I waited there a couple walked out, as they had probably been sitting there for 30 minutes +. I have nothing bad to say about the quality of their jewelry but I will never shop at Jareds again. I buy my Le Vian pieces at Macys where I feel much more appreciated and accommodated.
