This may be the worst Home Depot store in the entire U.S. thanks to the bottom level of employee who works here. Ive had no choice but to completely stop shopping here. If you know where something is and can check out without interacting with any of the employees, do so because my experience without exception is that the employees here are hostile, rude, angry at customers, and very unhelpful. I never saw so much bad attitude in one retail place. Asking a simple question has been uniformly greeted with loud sighs and wrong information delivered in an angry manner, like I was spoiling their perfect day by asking where something was. A customer service employee used extreme sarcasm and ridicule at me when I asked if Home Depot had any kind of referral service for home contracting needs. She said "Absolutely not! Try the Yellow Pages." I found out later that they in fact do have such a service. Not that I would use it! Around here if you need home improvement type stuff, youre better off going to one of the two Lowes nearby or a True Value hardware store.

The phone call to find out if I could locate a specific item resulted in 3. The first call went to a line where nobody talked to me just left me hanging listening to their conversation for about 7 minutes, 2nd call went to a Bob who never responded once I told him what I was looking for and again just left me hanging for about 7 minutes, 3rd call went to operator whom I informed of my trouble with the phone answering staff in the department she kept connecting me to, asked what I was looking for and put me on hold which again resulted in about 3 almost conversations and back to music and finally after about another 7 minutes of my busy day I hung up. Terrible terrible customer service and I still dont know if the item is there. I probably wont go to the store even if they might happen to have the Wipe n Dry squeegee I was looking to purchase in a quantity of about a dozen. Dont get it !!!! If I didnt have to pick a star to post I wouldnt have picked any stars at all. Very dissatisfying!

Overall I like this store but, they have exact prices as Lowes so there is no advantage to going to one over the other except I see lower prices on electrical fixtures over Lowes which are extremely high for some reason. My point being there needs to be some fluxuation in prices. Also Lowes gives a 5% discount if their card is used all the time at Home Depot you had to ask for it if not you didnt get it and now they have suspended that extra. Assortment is good, garden center I like over the competition, You also have one cashier (Ellen) who is such a nice person its a pleasure to go through her register.

I go to Home Depot basically because its closest to my home. Generally good products & experience. BUT, so often cannot get a floor person for questions! I see H.D. personnel walking around, but I have to nab someone to get their attention.... that I need help ! Also, there are no small baskets at entrance. I have asked 2 times, 2 visits, for a basket. That front door person has to scurry away to hunt for a basket. Or Im told some baskets may be "down that way" ..... but I wasnt looking for products down that way. I only wanted to buy a couple of things & I want a basket.

We bought a house 4 months ago and its a real fixer upper, we welcome the challenge. Since we live in Owego we have gone to Lowes as well but have found they dont have the customer service that Home Depot has. We always end up at the Home Depot and when asking a question recently about counter tops bc we are installing it ourselves, we were given the run around for an hour at Lowes, not 10 min at Home depot and we had All our questions answered and more!!! Thank you Home Depot!!!!!!

Surprisingly helpful. For most big box stores I dont expect much help, but this Home Depot has managed to hire quite a few helpful and knowledgable people. Had a question concerning plumbing parts and was steered in the right direction. On another occasion had a question on replacing knobs to a cabinet, even though the knobs arent made any more they gave me another solution which was to bring the old knobs in and have some paint colored matched so as to paint the old knobs.

Found an artificial xmas tree there I wanted to purchase; I struggled to get the box off the shelf and tried to put it on a cart, while, not one, not two, but three employees watched. One actually "excused" himself past me to get down the aisle, to sit on a chair and stock the shelf. No such thing as customer service in this store.

Anyways seems to have what Im looking for and its generally relatively easy to locate without assistance. Some of the employees are quite helpful where others arent so much. Im the type to find my own way around a store and explore a bit, so the unhelpful ones really dont bother me.

I went there looking for an adapter for plumbing I was working on and the gentleman that assisted me went above and beyond what a retail associate would normally do. The item I needed was out of stock and the gentleman opened a bulk package of the item just to get me what I needed.

I usually prefer Lowes but I bought some door knobs etc at this Home Depot and needed help at Self Checkout and a Wonderful, Kind Employee named Karen helped me finish my transaction. Stores need more employees with Great Attitudes like this cashier!!

Great store, and basically always better prices than Lowes. And if the staff doesnt think they have what you need (unusual of course) they will go so far as to tell you where else to shop to get it. Clean, organized, and well-stocked too.

Home depo is good if you need something quick. Prices on almost everthing is higher to double what you would pay from local bulding suppliers. Like a metal elect new work box is say $2 and at a electric supply store its about 50 cents.

I hate trying to checkout at this place when they dont provide cashiers. The self help checkouts are a nuisance. I live next to Home Depot but rather shop at Lowes where they provide better customer care.

Always helpful and friendly staff. A very knowledgeable gentleman was able to answer all of our questions and gave us a much simpler solution to a plumbing problem we were working to solve.
