My husband is deployed to Afghanistan. I had Home Depot do an estimate on a roofing, siding and gutter job on my house. I had to use a POA contract to open the loan. They said they dont accept POA for a Home Depot credit card and was instead steered towards a Project Loan to complete the process. I was approved for 20k, with the estimate of the job being a total of around 24k, with the agreement that I pay the outstanding balance at the completion of the job. I got my card in the mail and was then told by financial that they couldnt bill the card for any of the work until I activated the card, which I tried to do, only to be told that they dont accept POA for a project loan either and they closed my account on the spot. The work had already started. The roof was on and the siding job had started. So I called financial again. In the meantime I went to the store and was put on the phone with someone who helped me by contacting the COO and got the loan pushed through. They billed the siding and gutters, but not the roof yet, so I took what money I had and put it towards the balance to pay it down so there was enough room on the card for the roof to be billed. Im now being told I dont have a revolving line of credit and they are trying to hold me responsible for the entire amount of the roof out of pocket, which is $8200. No one told me this wasnt a revolving line of credit and Im not trying to reneg on the debt, I just want it put on the card so that I can make reasonable payments on it until its paid off. They are being VERY uncooperative and arent trying to work with me at all. I feel that this is bad business practice on their part, and I will not EVER do business with them again. I did this as a surprise for my husband when he returned from Afghanistan for R&R and it has been nothing but a nightmare, and now I have to have HIM clean up this mess. I in no way hold the actual store responsible for this, my in store experience has always been very positive.

I recently purchased a Nest Thermostat from this store and, after installing it, discovered it had been used by another customer and returned. The previous customers name was entered into the account linked to the device that was sold to me. This then required over an hour of time to get the help of Nest Tech Support to reset the device and then repeat all of the set up. Thankfully, it seems to work as advertised. I complained to Home Depots Corporate Office that representing this product as NEW when it was an OPEN BOX USED item was MISREPRESENTATION and suggested they change their policies for electronic equipment and clearly declare OPEN BOX items. It has now been 10 days, and in spite of two calls from Home Depot Customer Service, no appropriate communication from them to the store has occurred. I am quite sure that if I now returned this Nest Thermostat again, you would buy it and also believe it to be NEW AND UNOPENED. The manager said they have NO POLICY for identifying returned electronic products and sell them as NEW, IF THEY LOOK OK. He admitted that there was no real way to tell and they simply put them back on the shelf AT FULL PRICE. The store is refunding 20% of the purchase price, per my request, but the manager became non-communicative and defensive with regard to my complaints about selling USED products as NEW. This kind of MISREPRESENTATION should NEVER happen with ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT. A Corporate supervisor told me that he agreed and then did nothing to communicate this to the store, as promised. Clearly, this company needs to do some careful evaluation of its integrity. Recommendation: BUY ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT FROM HOME DEPOT AT YOUR OWN RISK! We have stopped shopping there for this type of product.

Early this afternoon on 3/26/16, they insisted on loading the eighteen bags of red mulch in a fenced in area at the back of the store although I would have been happy for my daughter and I to do it ourselves in the garden shop. They didnt know how to stack it in the back of the van and seemed to resent me showing them how to do it properly. The girl, when she opened the wrapping on a fresh pallet, did not pull the shrink wrap away from the bags when she cut it with the razor knife, so she slashed virtually every bag in the pallet. She looked very upset when I told her I did not want any damaged bags. When she tossed them to the side, she slammed them down and they burst open even more. These people are not properly trained and have an "I dont care" attitude about their work. As for speed, I could have easily loaded the eighteen bags as fast as the girl and the man put together. In fact, I pitched in and did the best part of the loading myself just to get things going because cars were waiting behind me. Next time, I will load the bags myself in the garden shop and cart them out to my car and load them in myself.

So disappointed! I came into Home Depot to possibly buy some parts for my edger. Hoping someone could help me and going there were generic blades that would fit. And I needed the tool to change the blades. No one was in the area where edgers are so I went to customer service and she sent someone over to me, very cool. However, the kid who showed up basically knew nothing about lawn equipment. And he told me the tool I needed would probably be in tools. So I carry my happy ass down to tools. 2 men standing there when I walked up and I had to speak to them. They were paying me no mind. So I asked the dude about the tool and he told me it would probably be with the lawn equipment. Duh... So I told him the young man sent me down here. He tried to sell me a wrench. Smh It still amazes me the lack of knowledge and the lack of customer care that people who work in retail/service oriented businesses have today. And I really thought it was only the young people. But the dude in tools was an old guy. Geesh!!!

If you rent any tools from here dont be late. If you are over 15 minutes late you get charged big time. When is a machine for 24 hours as soon as I got it home, Mother Nature ported its butt off. It was a Big time delay on using mini skid steer with auger attachments to make 28 holes for my fence post. Anyways after getting all the work done and then pressure washing the machine off because it was covered in so much mud and then have drove it back to the store I was four hours late. So the $268.00 I spent for 24 hours turned into $506.00 for 28 hours. Oh and keep in mind equipment protection insurance is optional but they add it to the bill without asking or letting you know that.

Went to get bolts. No help to be found. Went to the customer service desk - they tried to send me back to the aisle with over 100 to choose from. Finally, the person who works in that area appeared and seemed bothered that he had to help me. Gave me bolts that didnt match my needs. Said they dont carry anything else. Oh well. I found what I was looking for online and will be returning what I bought. Great place to shop if you dont need help!
