OD Greenes is exactly what youd expect from a small-town hardware store. The selection is limited compared to a Lowes or a Home Depot, but if youre working on a weekend project, theyve basically got whatever you need right there in stock. They tell me they can handle larger projects or order in what they dont have, but I havent taken them up on that yet. The prices are a little higher than the big-box competitors, but youll still save more in gas from not driving to Watertown. On weekends, they break out the popcorn maker. My kids love it. Who am I kidding? I love it. The employees are consistently both friendly AND knowledgeable on a variety of topics and - if you dont feel like wandering around looking for a specific item - can help you find what youre looking for to get you on your way.

The price for lumber is pretty good. The price for power tools is a little high. The employees are really nice.
