Nissleys is the place that taught me to love the Lowes right around the corner. I was trying to be loyal to the community, etc., when Lowes came in - shortly after I moved into the Morgantown area myself. But after repeated surly, short-tempered service at Nissleys, particularly by the younger male who I think is the son taking over the business - I got tired of it. As a friend of mine said when I asked her what she thought of Nissleys: "I always feel like Im a bother to them." Well, me too! At Lowes they greet me with a smile, and do great customer service. Obviously, theres the huge range of merchandise. And Nissleys has such limited hours on weekends, and no evenings. For those of us who work standard corporate jobs during the regular Monday through Friday business work week, thats a huge liability. So I kissed off "loyalty to the local merchant," and I shop at Lowes now. The only circumstances under which I can see one shopping at Nissleys would be if you want strictly agricultural stuff like chicken feeders, horse supplies, and dont want to do the drive to a place like Tractor Supply.
