Terrible service. I will never spend money there ever again. I purchased two fire arms. Each time I was there for 2.5 to 3 hours. Being ignored. First time I took the little paper with a number to take a place and there were two other people ahead of me. While waiting a young woman approached the counter without taking a number and the salesman just ignored the number paper and started to help her and we were there just wating and waiting. Each time I had been there I could bearly get a syllable out before I was asked to take a number. During the purchasing of the second pistol, the salesman rung me up and without saying anything to me or other salesman he walked away not to be found for the rest of the night. Again, I was there waiting and waiting patiently thinking he was coming back. NOT. Not one person behind the counter asked me if I was being helped or anything. After a good long while, I finally had to interrupt a salesman in the middle of another persons transaction and asked him to help me get some service. Which he finally did.

I thought box stores were supoosed to have everything. I used to LOVE shopping as this store and the one in Rochester. Now I live closer and cant stand to go in there. Yea its alright if you want a Gander Mountain Sweatshirt or anyhting else with the Gander name on it. The store I thought was supposed to be everything hunting, fishing, and camping. I dont know why anyone would buy a firearm from there. They inflated their prices for the one year extended warranty and free gun cleaning. YEA!!! Reloading? Forget about it. Bullets are expensive and not even an average selection of reloading supplies. They do have a great selection of firearms, I just feel their prices are overinflated. I will find something I like see if I like the feel of it. Then order it from another firearms dealer. I doubt I will waste my time walking through the doors for a a long time. I love hunting, fishing , and reloading. JUST DISAPPOINTED.

I wasnt happy with the staff there one of them he had a hard time understanding what a address was for my gander mountain card. then when he said okay if you want ill wait while you choose a pair of boots. so i go to the rack and since your store are suppose to have staff by the shoes/boots i show the man the boot i wanted he looked right at me then away so i walked back over to counter and he asked is this all i said yes since you clearly didnt see the boot i was hold he chuckles and i leave. and since he didnt know what a PO box was he did my physical address. so i had to call the bank myself and i took care of it and i think since i live in pa ill be driving to scranton to the gander mountain from here out because your staff have horrible manners when it comes to customers

Its all about customer service which is really bad at this store. In the firearms dept. you can stand at that counter for half an hour and nobody will come to you. When they do it is a rush job. If its busy add a person but your business is based on my experience!! The prices are much higher than before the closing from the flood. Ammo is ridiculous! If they stock it it is the upper end not lower priced, at least in 7mm-08! Buy the Whitetail it is only 25.00 a box and adequate not 40.00 or 37.00!! And lastly checkout is a nightmare. The way it used to be was far better straight through lines. I find I go all the way to BASS PRO more often for availability of ammo and service. PS answer the phone in the guns area please.

REALLY lousy service. I came in to buy a holster for my Springfield XD and to look for one for a Ruger. I looked through the selection, which was pretty decent, but most of the holsters have somewhat vague sizes, so I tried to ask THREE different clerks, got brushed off by two, and the third (while talking to another customer who came in well after I did) "what does a EMT need a gun for?" NOT happy. THIS is why I tend to shop on Amazon, but I figured SOMEONE might know what I was looking for and could help me find it. Guess not.

Agree with other reviewers on here- poor customer service and clueless employees. Asked where a fleshing knife would be and was pointed to hunting knives. Asked again and 3 employees later- finally found them. Guy working in the archery dept. was the only one who knew his stuff, but everyone was flocking to him so I didnt get to ask about the other items I wanted to find. I will do the rest of my fur handling shopping online.

Stood at the gun counter for over ten minutes and didnt get any service had gander moutain employees walk past me and looked at me and not a single one asked if I needed help or if I was being helped. Piss poor service, I guess some things never change. Gander moutain maybe be closer to where I live, but I guess if I want good service Ill drive the extra miles to go to field and streams. WILL NOT EVER COME BACK!!!

This is the only store in the entire area that requires ID to purchase .22 LR ammo! Apparently its a new policy they adopted and the checkout person didnt give a bleep about customer rights. It isnt law, just some sort of tracking system GM wants to implement. Will not purchase anything from this store again.

Terribly inefficient stood around for 45 minutes with a number wanted to buy a pistol & get the paperwork going because i work construction & have to take a 1/2 day off to complete the transaction and nobody helped me so Im taking my business else where wouldnt recommend this place to anyone

Ive tried to call the store several times to talk to someone at the gun counter and apparently no one works there. It just rang and rang. On the third and last time I called, after a lengthy ringing wait, someone picked up and hung up on me right away. I guess Ill just keep shopping at Dicks.

I just called to see when they started issuing fishing licences and got the laziest person ever on the phone. They answered like they were just so tired of answering questions and gave me short blunt answers then hung up as soon as I had the info.

I will be sorry to see them close. Bought a lot of hunting and fishing gear there more than Bass Pro Shops and i have a BPS credit card. Hope they can build a new one here in Binghamton and in home town of Crystal River,Fl. Ocala,Fl.

This place is so short staffed. I stood at the firearms counter for 30 minutes, fully set on buying a shotgun but everyone would just walk by. I had 500 bucks cash on me, ready to buy a shotgun. Their loss.
