Not a fan of my only "local" gun shop. Mostly overseen by young adults with limited knowledge of things outside of paintball, air soft or Call of Duty. The shop to caters to current trends, like preppers or the "zombie" culture rather than concern themselves with hunters. Selection is rather small and as stated, geared towards trending items. My main gripe comes from a recent experience. I purchased a .22 rifle and found only a few boxes of ammo on their shelf. During my purchase, the salesman quietly asked me if I wanted to buy a brick. I replied with what do I have to choose from and he offered me a selection of a few brands. I was shocked and disgusted, yet I took him up on the offer. Keeping supplies low intentionally and selling only to certain individuals (a gun buyer) is bad business and displays an ethical issue within the management. I no longer do business with this shop and travel 45 minutes to another shop for my goods and services, even though the village arms is only 10 minutes away.

Gene made the hunting rifle of my dreams about 5 yrs ago. And recently Justin has done work on 3 different rifles or shot guns for me and he has another 1 there now working on it for me. I could not ask for a better job. I have also bought a rifle there about 3 yrs ago and the salesman went above and beyond to have it already for me when I got there. It was a 30/30 Marlin lever action that I wanted see through sites along with the scope. I bought this for my son for his 1st rifle so he can practice shooting both ways. I just cant say enough about this place and the helped and the cust. service I have received. Trust me. You wont go wrong by going to the Village Arms.

Staff is very helpful. Prices are high on ammo, new guns are also a bit higher than other stores in the area. Used guns actually tend to be pretty fairly priced. Large selection of concealed carry guns and tactical stuff, ok selection of some hunting stuff. Consignment is shaky here on the customer base but theyre fair about it compared to others in the area so I cant complain. These guys are great about getting you what you asked for, so if you know what you want ahead of time they wont BS you into buying something else. Transfers are high compared to others, but theyre very quick and clean about it so in my mind its worth the cost.

Over all its a good shop. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly unlike some other shops. Their prices are definitely a bit higher as well. The most frustrating aspect of shopping here is that they keep a very low level of inventory on everything including popular items so its never in stock to buy. They are good about ordering things in on request but its the hassle and expense of an extra trip along with the wait. The one time I had an issue with them they promptly worked to make it right. Im not so sure some others would have handled it as forthright as Village Arms did.

Ive been dealing with these guys for over 5 years after moving from the confined freedoms of Maryland. Needless to say to finally find a store that caters to my every need and want is amazing. Anything I want if they dont have it they will get it for me ricky tick. Normally, within the same week. The staff is always very friendly and always gives a warm greeting when I walk in and when any one else does. The staff is very knowledgeable on what they sell including the pros and cons. Top notch people doing what they love doing and that is what is most important.

I love just going into this place and no Im not a friend of someone working there or anything. I just moved down from Massachusetts a few years ago and checked out a couple places. First, I went to Targetmaster - their selection was great but the service was the worst I have ever seen in my entire life. So my wife and I went into Village Arms and purchased a few handguns. The staff was helpful, nice and great even when my 2 year old was fussing. I have been shooting for a couple years now and I have never been to a better shop. Thanks guys!

Absolutely, positively the best place to buy guns and ammunition. Ive never been steered wrong by the staff of The Village Arms, and they are a primary reason I got into hunting and shooting. From carry guns to sporting arms to match-grade weapons, The Village Arms has it all and will treat you right. As if having great customer service, prices, and selection isnt enough, their gunsmithing work is top notch. Theyve done excellent and prompt trigger pull and lockup work on my competition 1911.

Very friendly place- they are always very helpful, though Ive only made purchases a few times. Im a ponderous buyer... and unlike some other places they dont glare at you until you buy something! Worth checking out. Their prices are very good also- unlike some other places that will try to sell you crap (Jennings handguns for instance) at ridiculous markup.

Avoid this place, especially if youre a woman. Went in to buy a gun, not get a hassle on whether I look like I can have a gun or not, or play games on whether you actually have the gun in stock or not. Will take my business elsewhere. Waste of time and gas.

They have a surprisingly good selection, always friendly, and very customer focused. They are efficient with purchases and sales/transfers, and have been great with some light gunsmithing Ive needed on occasion. Highly recommended.

Guys know what they are talking about and can order in just about any fire arm you are looking for. Fire arm prices are fair. Ammo is what you expect to pay if not buying online. Guys in there have been nothing but nice to me.

By far the best shop in Southeastern PA. Josh and Joe are especially knowledgeable, helpful guys- you simply wont find better service anywhere.
