What follows this first paragraph is a review I made on another site on July 8th 2016. I was contacted by a Huffman Koos representative via email who stated they wanted to help resolve the issue and they made sure to post that they were looking into my issue in response to my initial review for all to see, such as they are doing to many reviews here. It took about 3 weeks and 3 more inquires by me to get a response back. So finally in response to my initial review, they said they dont work with the delivery company that shipped my furniture anymore, and I would have to contact them, followed by the delivery companies name and a phone number. And that is how they resolve issues. Lay the blame on someone else. I didnt buy the furniture from, nor did I choose to use this delivery company. Is it fair that they send me to the delivery company, who incidentally also does not want to take responsibility either? I will leave that to you, the reader, to decide for yourself. Here is my original review: Back in February we ordered a sectional and a TV stand from Huffman Koos (referred to hereafter as HK). 8 weeks later they call to set a delivery date, "sorry the TV stand is back ordered and wont be with it". They come as scheduled but the corner wedge is wrong. Delivery guy tells us to accept everything and deal with HK to straighten it out. Yeah I dont think so. We make him take the corner wedge back and kept the couches. We go to HK and they tell us they think our corner was sent to someone else. About 2 weeks later they tell us the factory made it wrong and they are ordering us a new one and tell us another 8 weeks, and "by the way your TV stand wont be in until June 30th!" TV stand finally arrives but they open the box and one of the legs falls out. Back to HK probably for the 4th time by now and they tell us theyre going to fix it but give us $200 off the original sale price. TV stand comes back and the leg is fixed, but they send us a coupon for $200 off that we can use towards future purchases, not $200 off the TV stand. The wedge arrives at last, but the delivery guys moved the couch to put in the wedge and scratch our floors we just had redone. The delivery guy lets me talk to someone (dispatcher?), who tells me someone will be in touch about the scratch. Our salesperson called to find out how the delivery went and she too was going to contact the shipper about the scratch. We havent heard back from either. When I call HK they now put me on hold and dont return. I dont blame them, I wouldnt want to deal with this nonsense anymore either. Since making the last payment, the manager has also stopped returning texts. Everything after they made the initial sale was a terrible experience. Their entire system from just after you make your purchase to the end of your experience with them is completely broken and miserable. No one is held accountable, and no one takes any responsibility. They all blame someone else. Delivery blames sales, sales blame the factory, and nothing ever gets done. We really should have read the reviews for this place. It would have saved us a lot of headaches. I will never shop at this store ever again. But well always have the scratch in our floor to remember them by.

We have had a TERRIBLE experience with this store. We were continually lied to by multiple people that seemed to tell us whatever they thought we wanted to hear just to get us off the phone. We recently moved and were purchasing all new living room and dining room furniture. We thought we were being diligent by making the purchase 8 weeks before we moved. Over the 8 weeks I would periodically check in to see if were were still on schedule with our set delivery date a few days after we moved in. I was told multiple times that there was no issue and ALL furniture would arrive on time. Three days before our delivery date I called to check again and I was told that ALL of my furniture was on the truck and would arrive as scheduled. Then the day before our delivery date I received a call that there was an issue with the fabric we chose for our couches and the furniture would not make it on time. We were then told by this person that even though it would not arrive on time we would still receive all of our furniture within the original 10 weeks that was promised. A day later we find our that the order was never placed and we would have to submit the order to the factory. I understand that there was an issue with the fabric we chose but if we were told about this 8 weeks earlier when we placed the order we would have happily changed the pattern. Why it took over 8 weeks for the store to realize the order was put on hold due to the fabric issue is beyond me. We then spent the next 5 weeks being lied to giving us the impression that our furniture was being expedited and we would receive it any day. We are now at 14 weeks since our order date and still dont have a delivery date. The lack of honesty that we have had to deal with at this store is disgusting. It seems that once they make a sale they dont care about what happens after. This was not the only issue we had with the store. The few pieces that did arrive on time were absolutely destroyed and we had to reject them and send them back to the warehouse. When they arrived they were not wrapped and looked like they were opened at another house that also rejected them so they threw them back into the truck and tried to pawn them off on us. The worst part of this whole experience is that throughout this entire nightmare the management has done nothing to try to make it right except continue to lie to us. When I get to the end of my patience and tried to cancel the order I was told that the couches went into production ONE DAY earlier and we could no longer cancel our order. What are the odds of that!?!?! I would highly recommend that NO ONE SHOPS HERE.

Where do I begin? First off, DO NOT SHOP AT THIS LOCATION OR ANY OTHER HUFFMAN KOOS LOCATIONS! THEY ARE CRUEL, CROOKED, LIARS THAT JUST WANT YOUR MONEY! I ordered a queen bedroom set (bed frame, dresser/mirror, night stand, and chest). The manager Julio and sales clerk Richard were so nice and helpful. They told me the delivery would come in about two weeks and even gave me a nearby company that would be able to take the old bedroom set to donate to charity and wed receive a tax write off. Everything seemed so wonderful and pleasant... Two weeks pass by and they call saying the delivery will come a day later, ok not too bad. The delivery day arrives and they call my mom to confirm and even call on their way to our house. The delivery men get to the house, ring the door bell and first words out of the delivery mans mouth is "I have bad news, theres no chest". My mother is frantic, saddened and pissed off because, her old bedroom set was taken apart and gone and now Huffman delivers an incomplete set. We tell the delivery people to take it back because this is not a complete set as we ordered and of all the calls they made prior to them coming to my house, they didnt even mention that the chest was not on in the truck. My mom and I drive out to the Farmingdale store to request a refund. We meet with the manager, Julio, and he has this nasty, smug attitude. He had the gall to say, "well you act like you never made a mistake". My mom and I went off on him. How can you just TAKE a persons $3,500 and act like its their fault that they didnt get their furniture in full. I contacted the warehouse in NJ and they gave us the run around. So finally the delivery day was rescheduled after a tug of war. As we waited, no phone call to advise that the delivery people were on their way. I finally call, they arrive at 6:30, our delivery time was 12-4pm. Everything was delivered...except the wooden slab planks for the bed. Really Huffman Koos? Its like frying pan into the fire. I again was on the phone with the store, warehouse and delivery supervisor. All they did was say, they forgot to include that. Horrible! So again I had to wait til the next day to get the wooden slab. Constant phone calls, arguments and frustration just for a bedroom was beyond unnecessary. Thankfully the one month ordeal is over. Stick to Raymour and Flanigan or a mom and pop shop. I wish I could give them no stars but theyll be out of business real soon with all the complaints and deplorable customer service. If only I read the reviews first.
