My boyfriend and I bought a 50 gallon tank at Petco because our angel fish was getting so big. We also had two African knife fish and two cleaner fish that were also getting pretty big. Once we had the tank set up for about 2 months we decided to go back and get a few tetras. We brought them home put the bag in the water and let them get used to the temp. of the water. We let them in the tank and they stayed at the bottom for a few days to get used to the tank. I came home from work one day to find all of my fish with white eyes and white spots all over them. We have had all sorts of fish for about 5 years now; it has become quite the hobby for us so we knew what ick was. The fish that we got from their unkempt tanks had spread ick within one day to all of our fish. The fish that we have had for at least 2 years are now dying a slow terrible death. We have tried to drain the water out and we put the blue medicine for ick in the water and nothing seems to be working. I would never in a million years go back to this place. We have spend so much money here the least they could do is keep up with their tanks. If they knew that all of the tetras had ick they should not be selling them to people especially when we talked to Bill (the guy who picked the fish out) and told him how many fish we have and that weve had them forever, but he proceeded to scoop out the fish and bag them up. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!! So Bensons Pet Supply it is from now on.

Terrible customer service! I called the night before to make sure two items I needed were in stock. I was told both were in stock. I drive 30 minutes to pick them up the next day and surprise! Only one was in stock! The cashier asked me if I put a hold on the two items. Of course I hadnt, the girl I spoke to the night before never mentioned I should. Not to mention the price of both items were twice what they were on line!!! And when I tell that to the cashier that she tells me they match online prices. So here is an idea, why not just charge the same price? I ended up going to the pet supply place in Glenville (ten minutes away from my house!) and not only were both items in stock, but they were quite a bit less than Petco was charging! Ill never shop at Petco again! NEVER!!!

If i could give this place a zero i would..the cashier was so rude and shorted me money..then basically called me a liar about it to his manager..the manager proceeded to count the drawer and then got flustered and said there must be something wrong with the cash register..then said here just take the 5$. I told him i was never returning to the store and he said thats fine..worst customer service and rude employees..never going back and i used to spend alot of money there. ALSO I GOT NO APOLOGY FROM ANYONE..AND THE MANAGERS NAME IS JAMES IM TOLD.

White bettas

This petco is awful. The manager is very ignorant and the employees are rude. I asked someone if they could order a fish and they asked the manager and the manager asked me what kind. I replied a "koi betta." Apparently in the managers world they only carried KOI FISH or BETTA FISH. I know for a FACT that Petco carries koi bettas and the manager didnt even have the AUDACITY to look it up. Then I was told "there is no such thing as a koi betta." I literally walked out of the door. If you want fish, my advice: Go to petsmart instead.

Self Service Dog wash is a joke. Must have appt and its in the grooming section. Wth?! Must have vet paperwork. Waste of time. They should post all stipulations on their website. No other self service dog wash is like this. False advertising and should not advertise this service if you cant come and go as you please... Website states "take your time, no time limit" etc

Good store. Wish they had a saltwater department. Limited supply on saltwater, otherwise typically has everything one commonly needs.

DONT GET YOUR PET GROOMED HERE! Horrible grooming service look elsewhere. I could have done better myself with a pair of clippers.
