On several occasions Ive come home with fruit and meat (organic) that was spoiled. Within expiration date but had gone bad. Recently gave the store another chance - its gotten worse. I would be careful of purchasing any perishable food from here. Fruit, vegetables, dairy, pretty much everything that is perishable, 50/50 chance its spoiled. They sell food past expiration. The staff should be aware of this, but does not do anything. Sure they have a great selection, but whats the point of so much of their produce is spoiled? I do not understand how this supermarket has 5 star reviews, perhaps its people working there or fake reviews. Go check it out for yourself, and make sure you look at expiration dates, and smell/check the food to make sure its not spoiled.

I have been coming here since before it was a Stop & Shop and never had a problem. However my last trip, I purchased Philadelphia cream cheese and Sargento Cheeae sticks. I didnt think to look and check their expiration or quality as they were packaged. When I got home and opened the Sargento it was half frozen and half mushy. Overall inedible. As for the cream cheese, it was fine at first but a few days later had it again and got very sick. Upon inspection the cream cheese had been expired for OVER TWO MONTHS! Just thinking about it makes me sick all over again. I will not shop here again which is a shame because its close to my home.

Samuel, the cashier, went out of his way to offer to check out my groceries. Natasha went to the shelf to get a jar that had a barcode. Customer Service correctly directed me to the aisle I needed, and the Meat Department employee pointed me to the item I needed but could not find.

Big store with large selection but the produce is often moldy. As in an entire stock of somethings will be moldy. Getting really annoyed at having to report this to staff practically every time I go. And be careful in the parking lot because no one knows how to drive.

I bought 4 beef tenderloins @ $17.99 per pound. I think I had to trim off about 25% of each piece, due to fat. Filet Mignon is supposed to be lean, not 25% fat, I could buy chopped meat for that, so I basically wasted $18 on my purchase. Never again.

This is the BEST fully-stocked supermarket,for many miles,in this far corner of northeastern Queens,NYC. Unfortunately,supermarkets throughout all of Queens,NYC; have been greatly reduced in numbers,during the past 15 years or so!!

Some very decent prices. However, a lot of the stocked items were not visibly appealing. Never sure if youre getting very fresh items. Specifically in the meat, vegetables and fruit sections. Otherwise, decent shopping location.

The cashiers are friendly and always alert you to the super sales; this store hires adults with special needs, which is awesome; attentive managers; clean, and the deli is staffed with experienced and polite workers

Better than Waldbaums, but decidedly NOT "five star" material. Fairway is still THE BEST for selection and being well stocked. Most employees here (though not all) are friendly and helpful!

Bring a Quater with you if your going good shopping...they CHARGE you to borrow their shopping carts and if you dont have exact change then you cant shop! Ridiculous and Horrible system

This Stop and Shop location is big and clean. Great parking. Far better than the Waldbaums it Replaced. It is very crowed so it pays to,shop as early in the morning as you can.
