I am not to impressed with Stop & Shops takeover of Waldbaums. Once again the meat department has very little choice, and an even smaller stock. The prices are average and the store IS clean. And as usual, there is 20 registers with only 3 open. Had to use the self serve checkout, which in itself is a joke. Slow and not very clear on how to operate. And as another person stated here, the employees are a bit on the rude side, at the self checkout I was I ostracized by one of the employees for not having a Stop & Shop card. Sorry, but I just want buy my few items and get the hell out of there. I guess people who have Stop & Shop cards are treated like royalty?

The place is a complete rip off! Cooked shrimp on sale, $15.89 a bag, 31-40 count. A big sign stating the price right at the freezer! Get to the self checkout, and wind up paying $21.99 a bag. Look for a cashier or anyone who works there to inquire about the $6.10 difference in cost. And there is absolutely nobody around to give me any kind of assistance. Needed the shrimp and other groceries for the 4th. of July party, so I paid the $12.20 overcharge and got the hell out of there. I wonder how many unsuspecting suckers pick up a sale item at Stop & Shop, and wind up paying full price at the register?

If you order the fried chicken make sure theres eight pieces in the box when it says eight if you order the chopped chicken liver make sure that its fresh not three days old style of the case when you buy any kinds of potato chips or pretzels or things like that check the dates because they usually are-month-old and if you order any type of meat in the meat cases chicken or meat check how many diapers they put on the Neath the meat because that is the way to the to the food

A little smaller than other stop and shops but they still carry everything you would expect. Deli and pre-made selections are great. Items on sale are clearly and boldly displayed so you dont miss anything. No mention of staff, never had an issue which is good news

The Fruit and Vegetable in all the stop and shop stores I have been to are not fresh. Worse if you try and purchase a bulk pack. Many times of running into moldy produce or tasting on the verge of spoiled oranges. There used to be a quality check for these things.

The people that work in the deli department are extremely rude. They were standing around talking doing nothing and did not ask if I needed help. I was the only customer there. Terrible customer service.

Good supermarket. Packed on the weekends. Produce selection is okay can be better. Has a Starbucks inside.
