I have shopped at this location several times, but will certainly never go back. The last two times I was at the Deli counter I waited at least 15 minutes while employees "chatted", ignoring the line in front of them. While the prices are reasonable, the lack on management is awful. There is never anyone at the Customer Service desk, the sign typically reads, will be back in 5 minutes. Today we purchased salmon and scallops, the salmon was filled with bones. The young man behind the counter was actually mixing a salad with gloved hands as I approached and took a handful of whatever he was mixing and shoved it in his mouth. Not appealing. Just getting it all out..Last time I was there a woman complained to the manager, Pat, the deli line was too long. He took her order and filled it rather than take the next person in line and she proceeded to tell the rest of us on the line. Whew....cant continue not worth getting upset. Will travel to Merrick or just stick with Trader Joes! Where everyone works and assists and greets you with a smile, tt appears they are happy to be working there. In Best Market you get the feeling the workers are doing you a favor, rather than doing their job... Done!

The prices are amazing, esp for meat and vegetables. They have a very large selection of fruit and vegetables, some of which are locally grown. The deli area has a good amount of premade side salads with regular sales on coldcuts, ie. $6.99 per pound of Boars Head sliced chicken. There is a seperate cheese counter with many choices. The rest of the supermarket is fully stocked with the usual items. There are some gluten free items mixed in with regular items, like gf pasta and bread. They have a decent selection of craft beer, which includes some IPAs, this too has its own separate area in the store. The staff is nice and friendly. The store tends to be a little crowded, but its totally worth dealing with b/c the sales are so good. The only downside is that they dont offer much in the way of organic. Other than that, Best Market has become one of my favorite places to shop.

Theres a lot going on in here. It seems like they do some things well and some things... Not so well. Coffee was broken when I was in Sunday morning, ouch. Produce looked really picked over. Big selection though and the bagels were good and at a great price. Keep in mind the outside appearance is much different than the inside. It looks like an upscale grocery store once you cross through the doors.

Needs more cashiers. Lines are usually too long and customer service is always closed. If you need service you have to wait on a register line to get help. It makes no sense that there are workers walking around the store who when you ask them for help, tell you to wait on a long register line to talk to the cashier who is also the customer service person. Poor management.

Awesome store. Didnt hear about these until I stumbled upon this one in town. They have a great selection of fresh fruits and veggies. They also have a good selection of craft beer! You can mix and match and make your own six pack. They also have whole six packs of many different brands. Love this store! Check out the pastry area too!

Quick trips make this place a great visit. Selection of beer makes it quite fun to shop for get-togethers. Easy access to parking lot. Selection of items is pretty average. Deli and bakery selection is top quality. Sushi and juice bar sets it apart from other grocery stores. Produce section is large and fully stocked.

Excellent selection, good prices and great sales. Also very convenient hours - open til 11PM on Sundays. I eat gluten free and was pretty happy with their variety of gluten free products. There is also an impressive selection of cheeses in the deli, and their store brand cold cuts are great quality for a good price.
