This is the email I sent to cust care and the store manager called me after that but I thought of sharing it here as well - I usually avoid going to this shop due to its reviews online. This is very near to my house but I usually go to one in Latham, NY even though its far away. I went for a purchase for our newborn baby there last Sat. I spent almost 1 hr looking for the stuff which had many fresh stock items and few clearance items. When I went for billing, it was around $45. After the bill, I released there is an offer of free gift for purchase over $50 so I asked the lady behind the counter. She said we will have to return everything(with an attitude) and rebuy it so I added one more item worth of $8 to bring the total above $50. She returned everything and rebilled it but it took more than 20 min. I was really frustrated to wait for that long just to get that free gift and offered to just leave the gift alone and make it fast. After struggling for 15 more min, she called her senior who came to help her figure out how to rebill and give the free gift. She told me that its not eligible for the gift because it had clearance items. I showed her the offer and argued that it doesn’t say that anywhere. The way she talked to me was really insulting and totally unaccepted after spending so much time in line. She kept talking to herself (basically cursing me) so I was finally done with the insult and left without taking my items. I called for the store manager after some time but they told me there is no manager and won’t be any till next 2/3 weeks. It was a really bad treatment for a customer who has a registry there and who spent more than $1000 over last 2 months. I feel like going back and throw everything I got from there on their face. If I don’t get an apology for the behavior, I might go back and return everything I got from Toys R us and Babies R us and write a blog to tell all my friends and fellow shoppers not to go to this store. No wonder people in Albany prefer ‘Buy Buy baby’ more than your shop.

I recently purchased a floor model piece of furniture. I was super excited to find the dresser I needed at half the full price cost. It only had two tiny scratches on the side (that could barely be seen). I paid for the item and told them I would pick it up the next day. When I went back to pick it up, there were three HUGE scratches on the top of the dresser. I asked what happened and they said "it was like this, floor models are as-is" and when I explained "these scratches were not here when I looked at the piece yesterday he said "he wasnt there yesterday". Since floor models are final sale, I had to wait for a manager and fight for my refund. AND then as I was leaving, I saw them put boxes on top of the dresser! Thats probably where all of the scratches came from! I was totally disappointed to lose out on such a great deal.

I just had very bad experience with Toys R us. They have lego promotion by one and get second one 50% off. I put two lego toys in the cart and placed my order. Both toys are shown as available per their website. However after I placed my order. It send me a email which said that one toy is unavailable. Now I end up with one full over priced toy. I called customer service 1 hour later when I found out and the representative told me it could not be cancelled now. I think this is a scam so that they can sell you full price if you dont have time to return the overpriced toy to their local shop. If one commodity is unavailable, they should let customer know prior to confirm the order.

Im normally not one to complain, but Ive been to dollar stores with better customer service skills. Came for something else but found they had a sale on tablets. Asked someone if I could get one of them, and they called the manager on the radio. Manager I assume was busy so they had to go get the keys and come back. Waited 10 minutes for them to come back, and then when they asked which one I wanted they told me theyre been sold out of it, and ALL but one of the others, for a couple days now. Shouldve started with asking first. Stuff in the aisles everywhere, things set up in the wrong places by workers. If you dont need help, go here. If you do, prepare yourself.

I understand being busy, as I have worked in customer service situations for nearly a decade. However when you call this store it is impossible to get anyone on the line to help you. Either you are put on hold forever (and I do mean forever - you need to hang up and call back or youd be waiting literally hours) or passed from person to person and never get anyone to actually help you. I am not actually blaming the staff; I know how it is and theyre probably overworked and dont have enough help. But there has got to be some "higher up" person or people in charge that are running things poorly or not scheduling enough staff.

Maybe if everyone and their cousin did not call the store to shop instead of actually doing it the old fashioned way and come in and take care of your business they would be able to answer a phone. Customers that are actually in the store will always get more attention than a person on the phone. Obviously they want to please the people actually spending money and not those asking about 10 million items over a telephone. The store will bend over backwards for people who treat employees with kindness and respect. People who do not have common sense will probably have problems.

Honestly does not deserve one star I just went in this store with my family to purchase 6 bicycles and gear but as soon as I pulled in garbage everywhere trash can overflowing if that was not bad enough I go in 0 carts if you find one its full of garbage or toys not put away someones nasty tissues in front of the customer service desk on the floor walking to the back there are toys open all over the floor plus garbage a group of employees with I assume is a manager talking instead of implementing a plan of cleaning up the place the store should be closed its gross.

I normally have an excellent experience at this location but today they decided to pull the rug out and say they dont honor price matching. I am usually not one to complain, but when there are signs all over the store saying "Price Match Guarantee", I as a customer am expecting just that. I support a stores decision to suspend that deal for whatever reason but it should be a courtesy to at least inform your customer. Nothing in your flyer, nothing on the website, and the employees hardly know whats going on... shame on you toys r us, you just lost our business.

Today I was looking for a particular bike the MX350 after asking 2 other associates who told me the item was not in the store or in stock it was an online item only On my way out I stoped at the customer service desk and spoke with Jacob who did an extensive search and located the bike for me as well as helped me to my car with the item his customer service was Great and he made me a satisfy customer had a great attudide very knowledgeable Thank You Jacob my child will be happy on her birthday thanx too you!!
