I usually dont leave a bad review until a company gets 3 strikes in my book, and here they are: Strike 1) I have just weekends to put full time into my art, which includes shopping for supplies, as I work all week. Hobby Lobby closes at 8 P.M. on weekdays (which is the time I get out of work) & is closed on Sundays. This does not leave me a lot of time to shop. Solution: have the store stay open till 9 p.m. like the rest of the regular stores. closed on Sundays? (I am assuming this is a religious preference of management) if this is the case, Solution: the idea of separation of church and business should be discussed by upper management. Strike 2) Your inventory control is sub par, 5 out of 10 times I go to your store it is out of inventory of the item I am in need of. That is 50% of the time. Solution: Improve your companies computer systems. Improved computer systems will alert your company when stock on an item is LOW or OUT! In addition, Your checkout system lacks in any automated systems. All sales are manually entered by a cashier, including manual percentage deduction of sale items, which on occasion the cashier has to manually look-up on paper! (after they are alerted the item is in fact on sale). This system is just completely flawed. Strike 3) Your employees customer service skills & knowledge need improvement. The last time I went to this store (with my standard 40% off one REGULAR PRICED item coupon), I was rudely informed that the item I wanted to use my coupon on was already on sale for 30% off (which I was unaware of at the time). My solution was to take the 40% off of the REGULAR PRICE of the item & forget about the 30% sale it was on, (pretty simple solution to me correct? & which has always been the solution in your competitors stores!) well, I was sternly informed that if the item is already on sale that using the coupon is absolutely not allowed IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE PERIOD!!!!!! Solution: Better employee screening during the hiring process, full knowledge training of company policies & procedures, training on customer service skills (mainly in my case at least) that if there is a disagreement with a customer, a MANAGER should & needs to be consulted. OK.... well my solution to all this is to shop at Michaels exclusively, Alot less hassle, better customer service, better coupons and it is also on my way home ..................... PERIOD!!!!!!

Man or woman with the 3 STRIKES, calm down. If something is on sale you cannot just choose to get the sale of the coupon instead. I know from working at CVS. Also its not a huge deal. As for customer service, working with the public is not easy, due to needy people like you. By the time you get there they probably already had a pain in the ass customer and then they have to deal with you and all your bullshit. Finally, your complaint about being closed on sundays; they are religious and that is the reason why. I am not religious but I respect peoples decision. I am pretty sure hobbylobby does not make their schedule based on your work schedule. Go on Saturday, get what you can get, and spend more time on your art and less time reviewing stores cause I guarantee, nobody cares what your personal complaints are :)

I have always traveled to this location because it was convenient. I will no longer shop there because of my experience today. Im currently 35 weeks pregnant and couldnt find an employee at the back of the store because the manager needed them all at the register. So I attempted to put my dresser I was looking to purchase in my cart. Well since the carts are too small I was hitting everything on the aisles. I winded up putting it on my hip and pushing my cart with my other arm from the back of the store to the front. Not one single person asked to help. Not to mention the cashier did not offer assistance to my vehicle as he seen me bringing it out the same way, struggling. I know what the store is all about but whats going on with the employees. So sad.

I will never go back to this place, I was mistreated by one of the managers. This lady around her 35 or 40 years old disrespected me by telling me I was doing a bad parenting. I understand that if I go to the store I have to watch my kids , this lady was very upset because my 4 year old touch a piece of furniture and it fall on the floor . Instead of making sure that my daughter was OK she started yelling at her saying she was not supposed to be there and then she looked at me all hysterical and she started to yell oh what if something had happened to her, your are not doing a good parenting! Who she thinks she is to tell me that ! That is not the proper way to talk to a customer.

There are no signs as to where items are in the store... took me 20 mins to find picture frame hanging wire, which wasnt really near the picture frames, but in the posters area. They have no bar code system, so the cashier has to enter each item manually, which takes forever! Though Im not sure if this happens all the time, but employees were chatting in the main aisles for part of my 20 minute wandering and a few other employees knocked over a display TWICE, making a loud noise, which the other employees casually strolled to to see what happened, not even thinking a customer was hurt... Only reason I go there is convenience, other wise Id go somewhere else.

Nice selection of crafting items but its difficult to find what you need since the aisles are not clearly labbeled. Wish there was also more staff walking around since i wandered for 20 mins before finding what I needed. Staff member looked annoying when I asked her a question. I used to work at a crafts store so I know this place could use some signs and friendlier staff willing to answer your question.

Very nice store with a lot of nice merchandise, Im glad that at least one company cares enough for their employees and their families, I think more people preoccupied for not being able to buy on Sundays should think about the people working hard at any store and their families, who are always expecting their relatives at home.

Im not going to mention politics in this review because Im basically going there for cross stitch and sewing supplies and it doesnt seem to matter. The staff is generally happy, the store is well stocked and immaculate. They could use a few more registers open on the weekend which is why I took off 1 star.
