Very dishonest. I had a very poor experience at Kay Bridal and would not recommend that anyone do business at their boutique. At first they were helpful, but as soon as I mentioned that I liked a dress I was very pressured to purchase the dress right away. I tried to explain I wanted my family to be there and that I could come the next day, but she insisted that if I didnt buy it Friday ( rather than Saturday) that she couldnt guarantee it would get here in time for my August wedding. Finally, they backed off and I said I would be back the next day. My bridesmaids asked who the designer of the dress was and the consultant, Jennifer, would NOT tell us who made the dress. She paused and then fumbled her words and said " Well....its um...a private designer who only makes dresses for us. This dress is one of a kind and it is only at our store." That seemed a little strange to us, but I liked the dress so much I intended to come back to buy it the next day for $1100. As she was writing down my measurements my friend wrote them down as well and this got the women VERY upset and said she did not need to write them down. Then that night I looked up " corset ball gown ivory wedding dress" and found that the EXACT dress I wanted was on EVERY wholesale wedding dress site for $199 ( which is significantly less than the $1110 I was being charged). To be honest, money is not an issue for my wedding and I was just going to buy it from the store to be safe and pay the extra money, but I did not like the fact that she lied to us about several things. They were very unprofessional and seemed more interested in making a sale than doing good business and meeting the needs of the customer. Honestly, we just got a bad taste in our mouths when they continued to lie about very strange things. I would not trust doing business with them.

Please review the before and after photo that I posted on Yelp before reading this review. I was pleased with Kay Bridals service until my gown came in. I ordered "custom sizing" for my gown because I am two different dress sizes. This extra service was $75. The lady took my measurements and ensured that the gown would be tailored to my exact measurements. My gown came in and it was not CUSTOM. The gown was falling off of me. She said she could take the top part in and bustle the train. She refused to take in the waist although it had a HUGE amount of bunching. I didnt understand how a fitted gown couldnt be taken in, to FIT. I took her professional advice because I was afraid I would ruin my dress. BIG mistake! These two alterations were $300!!!!! So now, Im in the hole of $375. My dress came in and it still did not fit. I tried speaking with the seamstress but the lady who ordered my gown and took my top in- interrupted me speaking with her. She kept saying I told you that you cant take it in because of the fabric. So before I lost my temper, I left. Luckily my cousin has an AMAZING seamstress working on her wedding gown. Please read my review for Philadelphia Bridal Alterations. She was able to alter my gown to my liking in TWO hours for $150. She was in disbelief that they refused to alter it. That company SAVED my wedding day. I wish I would have just went to them in the beginning. Brides, please do NOT get your gowns altered in any way from Kay Bridal. I will post this review everywhere because they cost me to lose $525 in alterations for their unprofessional and lazy work ethic! Shame on them for letting their bride walk out of their boutique that way.

This was hands down the worst experience Ive had at a bridal salon. I called Kay Bridal specifically because they had a dress by Maggie Sottero that I was looking to try on. When I scheduled the appointment the owner confirmed that yes they had the dress. So I made an appointment to go see it in person. The day before the appointment I called a second time to confirm that they had the dress. Again, they confirmed that they did. The next day I went to my appointment. Not only did they not have the dress ready, but they had no idea what dress I was referring to. I thought this was strange since I confirmed with the store twice that they had the dress. The entire time I was there they were "looking" for the dress. By looking I mean I kept showing them the dress and they kept pointing to other dresses that were clearly not the dress. While I was there I tried on some dresses and the dresses were treated horribly and the attendant did not know what she was doing. The beading was falling apart on dresses. The attendant didnt use any clips so that I could actually see how the dress looked regardless of size. I had to pull all of my own dresses, the attendants didnt pull or suggest any dresses even after I told them what I was looking for. After I tried on a few dresses, they finally informed me that they didnt have the dress that I went there to try on. To say that I was frustrated is an understatement. I would definitely NOT recommend this bridal salon.

A hidden gem in NJ - I purchased my wedding gown from Kay after traveling to many different boutiques, both large and small, in PA on the Main Line, in DE, and NJ. My mother and I heard about a trunk show for a designer we liked being held here and they managed to squeeze us in for an appointment last minute due to my work schedule. Jennifer, the owner, and her husband were wonderful to work with. I tried on my first gown, walked out to the mirror, and fell in love with it. I still wanted to try on dresses after (indecisive bride!) and Jennifer helped me find styles that I would like, but also mentioned that I "lit up "when I wore the 1st dress. She let me try on as many as I liked, but smiled and told me she knew I would go back to that first dress :) and she was right! I customized my strapless gown to add lace removable straps that matched the dress perfectly with their guidance. She was also extremely helpful in picking out a veil. Jennifer even gave me silk flowers to hold to get the whole feeling! They are accommodating, extremely personable, will work with my crazy schedule, and have my whole confidence, which is not an easy thing as I am very Type A with regards to the wedding! I would recommend this shop to anyone for a seamless, stress free gown shopping experience. I just had my first fitting on Wednesday, and I cant wait to wear it on the big day in May. Thanks again Kay Bridal!!

The service was fantastic I was greeted right at from, they ask me simple information of what I was looking for and they guide me through the gowns they selected a few for me to try on I pick a couple myself too.....The girl that helped me was Bri a fashion angel have great sense of style so she knows what she is doing even if she is young, very sweet and pleasant, and dont let the quiet/shyness fool you she gives great advice and is very honest about the gowns and so much that in the end I trusted her in not letting walk out with a horrible gown. Overall she was right on point after trying 6 dresses I pick my wedding gown and I am in love with it I was surprise I like something out of my comfort zone it was nothing I would have imagine but I try it because Bri told me it was a great dress for my body and that it look better once on the body than on the hanger, she was soo riiigghhhttt this dress made me look 10-15 pounds lighter who would have thought I had a nice waist lol :) I would definitely recommend this place...yesss the place might not be as fancy as the other but the service, the gowns and the prices were very good....so dont let the cover of a book fool you... hope everyone enjoys their experience as much as I did because I simply love this place and the people
