The products and overall store itself is pretty good. It is the morale of the employees that is disturbing to me and other customers. It seems as if so many of the employees are unhappy working there, it is almost like walking into a Walmart store! I have heard from numerous employees as well as former employees about Managers Dave & Andrew (Dairy & Grocery Mgrs.), make life a living hell for the night & overnight employees. Andrew likes to hold the employees jobs over their heads while David likes to fire employees without their knowledge. This type of behavior makes the environment a hostile working situation for everyone involved. The reason it affects everyone is that when the employees are unhappy they dont do their jobs effectively. This in turn makes the customer prone to purchase less than quality products. In the end, customer service is overwhelmed with unsatisfied customers and vendors products are wasted because of the returns. I never heard anything like this before Andrew & David were there and this is strange. If this is true, then maybe another look at these two managers would be warranted so that the employee retention and morale would improve. Just a suggestion....

Have to agree with the other reviews...the store itself is not bad and the selections are good. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The cashiers are extremely rude. I usually as a rule go to the self checkout to avoid the cashiers, today I made the mistake of actually going to a cashier, and surprise surprise she was very rude. I decide to talk to the manager about it and wow what a shock he was just as rude as she was and blew off my concern. Told me that I didnt know what it was like as a cashier so I shouldnt complain. "Excuse me, do you know me, have we met, you know my job history? Well then how can you tell me I dont know what its like?" I have worked as a cashier at a retail/grocery store, I do know what its like, and I also know what good customer service is, and this place doesnt have it.

Its a grocery store, it does what it is supposed to do sell groceries. Like all the other ShopRites they have some good sale prices including in store clearance items. The store from what I saw was clean and well stocked though I was not in there to get anything more than a quick lunch in the prepared meals area as I was working nearby and forgot to pack a lunch. The options that were available were decent enough to make a decision for a meal and I even grabbed some hot and sour soup to take home. With the can can sale going on I was fortunate to see some cases of soup that were still shrink wrapped so I also grabbed them as it is a lot easier to have them that way to transport them home.

The store itself is wonderful.. But if u have a nice store and nasty customer service/cashier then what's the use of having a nice store... U guys should honestly call your competition stop&shop and get some tips on how to hire well mannered professional cashier that take there job serious because u will loss a lot of business behind ignorant and rude cashiers.... and your front end runner is not at all profession either she's just as rude as cashier Tiffany's her name I believe. But I will give u that the seafood women laurie and I'm not sure the other ladys name are really nice people........

Obnoxiously rude cashiers who roll their eyes at you, wont say thank you for bagging when its their job, get irritated when you come to checkout because youre interrupting their gossip/reading hour. If they dont want the job, quit so more pleasant people can have it. Who wants to spend their hard earned money, which is paying their salary by the way and feel disrespected? If people dont shop, you dont have a job idiots!

I do agree with others, good customer service goes a long way...Always smile...first rule of a cashier..you are usually the last person seen as an employee when customers are leaving. Nothing worse then spending your pay check and sometimes more and last interaction is with a rude cashier. And yes I work retail as a cashier and customer service so I know how hard a job it is..

I dont shop regularly at this store because its so large. I much prefer pennington. But when it came to ordering a cake for my daughters birthday, pennington shoprite told me to go to ewing instead. Anyways, the cakes were adorable (character cakes) and they were delicious. Definitely worth the price because it added to the party and was delicious!!

Well known Supermarket. Often acknowledged as one of the best in the region. Diverse offerings including on site bakery, hot and cold fresh prepared food. Growing number of vegan, organic and other dietary restricted products. Generally busy, large parking lot. Located on busy County road.

SHOP RITE IN EWING IS A GOOD STORE THERE ARE A FEW PLACES IN THE STORE THAT NEED TO BE MOVED. THE PHARMACY IS TOO CLOSE TO A ENTRENCE NEAR THE SELF CHECK OUT LINES AND CUSTOMERS BLOCK THE AISLES

Horrible store for produce. The store is really going downhill. Twice Ive bought expired sour cream from this store. Nice to know you have to check the expiration dates on everything you buy!!

Not enough employees to assit with?, i was jus looking for plain granola and it took 15min in the regular cereal section and 10min more in the new nutrition section (which is very nice).

Good luck finding parking. Its always packed. I guess thats a good thing - meaning people like to shop there, but you will never, ever be in and out in 5 minutes. Its not possible.

This ShopRite is large, which is both a good and bad. Theres a good variety of items in stock, but it can be a little overwhelming when you just need to pick up few things.

Compared to any other grocery stores in Ewing, ShopRite is the cleanest and freshest. Customer service is OK but I would give 5 stars for the products they carry.

Convenient location, good prices, and the store itself is very nice and updated! Easy to shop quickly, and the lines are usually not too terrible.

Service is mostly very good; variety acceptable, but could be better; busing of carts in parking lot could use substantial improvement

It was the worst ShopRite in the area... But it has been getting much better. They just need to have more cashiers available.

Location, prices, varietites. All are great. They still need to do better when it comes to staff. They could be more friendly.
